I’ve been going to Tanya for over a decade, which speaks for itself. Even when I lived in Santa Barbara, I would make an appointment and drive to LA just to see Tanya. This is because she is the best waxing job out of all the places I have ever tried. First, she is very flexible with her schedule and willing to accommodate; she works of Saturdays! Seconds, her station is always immaculately clean. Third, she is very thorough. Fourth, her prices are reasonable. Fifth, once you go to Tanya, you would not want to go anywhere else. If you are someone who prefers waxing to other methods of hair removal, then you probably have had some bad experiences of your own. I’ve tried probably 15 different salons at some point of time, but Tanya is THE best. I’ve been a customer for at least 12 years, and simply cannot ask for a better wax lady. She’s very thorough and her prices are reasonable. She’s always on time and always curteous.

The prices are very reasonable comparing to all the other salons I’ve tried on occasion and she is always willing to work around the schedule to accommodate you. Tanya is THE BEST!!! I was referred to her 9 or 10 yrs ago and have been going to her religiously ever since. She does the best brazilian waxes I’ve ever had– painless, quick & thorough– and her prices are incredibly reasonable. She also does the best eyebrows in town… my friend who referred me works for Smashbox cosmetics and says noone can do eyebrows like Tanya.
On occasion, I’ve had to visit other waxing places when Tanya has been on vacation & I didn’t time my waxes right. I tried all of the newest fads (blue wax, sugar wax, etc) and none hold a candle to Tanya. The people at the other places made me feel uncomfortable, hurt me, left clumps of hair behind & charged a ton of money… I really don’t understand how they stay in business! I make the drive from Sherman Oaks to see Tanya (not that it’s sooo far, but it’s definitely not convenient) because she truly is the best.
Oh– and swing by La Provence for a café au lait & french macaroon– they’re the best in town– yum!!! :)
