I love Agi, I have always had a pleasant experience with her, even though it’s a Brazilian! Her technique is so mastered there’s very minimal pain! I always go to her!

I have been seeing Tanya for years — she is the best in town. Hands down. There is nowhere else in LA that I would go!

Amazing place! I found The Wax Shop through Groupon and I’m so happy I did. The location is great, abundant street parking and the place itself is beautiful. Very clean. As all the other reviews state, Agi is fabulous! It was my first wax and her friendly welcome and demeanor put me at ease. It was a quick process and nearly painless. Thank you! I’ll be back soon!

I’ve been seeing Tanya since 2008. It’s the only place I have pre-​booked appts and the only reason I’ll drive to Beverly Hills! Tanya makes you feel comfortable, works fast and efficient and their space is clean and inviting.

I always have a pleasant experience. All the girls are good, professional and very informative. There is never any reservation drama and for the most part you can get in the very same day.

I’ve been coming to Tania for years. Love her! I have absolutely no complaints. She does a great job and even though she moved a little north and I moved a lot south I still make the trek to see her. The shop is a lot bigger than it used to be but still a great experience (well the end result because how pleasant is waxing after all?) but Tania makes it as bearable as anyone could. No ingrown hair either!

Ivory was the best! It was my first time waxing ever and I will be back in 4 – 5 weeks. It is painful but very quick. Used a groupon don’t regret it

Great! I got my first bikini wax here… Don’t what my lady’s name is… But she has short brown hair and glasses. Very gentle yet quick. Also got my eyebrows done here and even though it’s wax… My eyebrows stayed nice for two weeks. Amazing

Agi is the best waxer ever. I have been to a lot of places and have tried other people who claim to be the best. She is always on time, very fast and really cares. She has a great waxing technique and is a lot less painful than others I have been to. The shop is very clean and she throws out each wood stick after dipping it into the wax. The front desk staff is always really helpful and nice as well. They always try and accommodate your needs with appointment times, etc.
I park at the 1 hour free structure 2 blocks South of the shop. I have never had to pay for parking since she is so efficient with your time.
I’m so glad that I found Agi and highly recommend her for waxing. I have never used any of her other services but I have heard she gives great facials as well. I will try her soon.

I came here a few weeks ago using a groupon just to try it out the place first. I was the first person for the day and they brought me to the room. Let me tell you now, I’ve been to a different place before and they left my skin a few burns, wasn’t the most sanitary way to wax, and she wasn’t gentle at all.
But here, it’s the opposite! I was so amazed on how fast and less painful that I actually told her (Tanya) in the middle of the session. She knew what to do and was very gentle. I was out of there in less than thirty minutes. Now I’m definitely gonna be a regular. Actually have an appt tmrw

BEST. BRAZILIAN. EVER. Tanya is freaking amazing! She is excellent at what she does, she makes sure you are very relaxed, and she does the job efficiently. I’ve been trying several wax places around LA since I moved here a year ago, and I won’t go anywhere else again! Thank you Tanya!
Parking underneath the building is a flat fee after 4pm (I think), and hourly beforehand. There is a garage down the street next to Whole Foods, and it’s 2 hours free! Can’t beat it! :)

Agi gave me the best feel bikini wax in 14 mins that I’ve ever received. Will totally be returning.

This place is amazing! Maggie (the wax specialist) is very gentle and fast at her job. I recommend this place to any first timer looking into the Brazilian!

Where do I start? As a new Los Angelino, I was reluctant to cheat on my aesthetician of 6 years in my hometown but Agi was well worth it. Dare I say she’s even better? The location is great and the décor is beautiful. It has a very upscale tranquil vibe that I can appreciate. When I walked in I was greeted by Irene. She’s awesome and got me checked in right away. Irene even educated me about the other services they offer such as massages and facials. I should mention I was running a little behind but they were able to accommodate me which I was really grateful for. Agi is amazing! She’s very clean, efficient and quick with her Brazilian waxing. In fact, she’s so fast that you don’t even have time to process what’s going on. After 15 minutes I was out and back to feeling like myself again. Usually beauty is pain but the wax shop takes most of the pain out of it. Can’t wait to come back!

Usually I go to the European wax center because I’m used to their process but def come and ask for Aggie here at the wax shop! I’m in and out quick and she does a very precise job while minimizing all pain. Really nice lady who always greets you with a smile!
The salon is also extremely clean, tidy, and always has free chocolate that I take advantage of! The lady in front is also super flexible with scheduling and I have been able to not only schedule same day appointments but also switch them around due to traffic.

I enjoyed my experience here. It’s only my second place ever to get a brazilian at. I had an appointment with Addie. She was great. Just straight to business. And she was SO thorough.
Tip on making appointments: I get off work at 6 and The Wax Shop opens until 7 only on Wednesdays. I got a Wednesday appt about a week before (so just make sure).
*I bought a groupon also. 25 $!! for a wax. there was also a deal for three waxes for 65 (?)

Had a Living Social deal for waxing services. I appreciate that you can make an appointment online but there was some snafu and the time I thought I booked wasn’t the time the system had me booked… it was easily fixed though.
There is a paid parking garage in the building and you should just avoid looking for parking and deal with that because it’s $ 1.75 for 15 minutes. And realistically how long do you want to be waxed?
I found the atmosphere of the place clinical/​clean feeling but not the most pleasant. The lighting in the waxing room was so bright it actually hurt my eyes and made me a little nauseous. I realize that bright light is needed for this sort of work but I have NEVER seen a treatment room so appallingly lit. It was not enjoyable. Add to that my tech seemed to want me to just completely disrobe and wait for her on a table (how about a blanket or a towel or SOMETHING for when you throw open the door?!) and that she was a bit um… let’s just say she was almost eastern Euro military like and leave it at that.
This isn’t always a pleasant grooming moment to begin with… but the Wax Shop could do a few things to make it less uncomfortable.

I purchased a Groupon to try a place close to work since the salon I typically go to for Brazilians is in Studio City and can be difficult to get to during the week after work. There were limited parking options so I had to park in the garage that charged $ 1.75 for every 15 minutes and The Wax Shop does not validate. Not a huge problem since these appointments do not take much time.
I arrived and was seen promptly, I am not sure of the name of the person I was seen by as she did not introduce herself. She took me into the room and asked me to get undressed without leaving the room or giving me a wrap to put on. I got on the table and she instantly started lecturing me about shaving between waxes and that I was the one suffering the consequences. Like okay? I understand she was trying to voice her concerns but it was a little dramatic.
The main issue that I had is that she did not use gloves when she did my wax! Everything else was very sanitary (no double dipping, clean bed etc.) but this was a little concerning as I have been to various waxing salons and they always wear gloves for bikini waxes, especially Brazilians.
She was really quick and the process was relatively painless compared to some other experiences I have had but I think the no gloves may be a deal breaker for me to go back in the future.
