Very disappointing. I eaten here a few times and perhaps they were off tonight but To many things happened and lack of management that I decided to write the review. The service was absolutely horrible — no one even looked at our direction(not even a glass of water was served) for well over 10 min. Then the lady finally took our order(after I flagged down the hostess). The cucumber salad had no dressing on it– we asked for dressing they bring us soy sauce(we returned that). The rolls were not up to par(falling a part and not really good). I think the sad part of all is the management didn’t even take a min to stop by and apologize for the horrible service and mediocre food.

This place is way over priced and it’s because you are in Beverly Hills. It was good, but I just feel as though you can get a much better deal at other sushi or robata ya places than here in West Hollywood or West LA, etc. I thought the food tasted good, but nothing extraordinary. If others wanted to eat here(and pay for me) I’d be totally fine with that.

Forget Nobu… Sushi Yu/Mi Too is the ‘BEST’ sushi in California!!! The sushi is creative, original and always fresh. The service is friendly and courteous and if you let them choose for you(Omikase — Chef’s Choice) there isn’t a single item that won’t blow your mind! My favorites are: Yu-N-Mi #2, Miki Rolls, West Roll and El Niño. People that think they have a favorite sushi bar are pleasantly surprised when they try Sushi Yu/Mi Too!! If you’re fortunate enough to have Ted or Hiro make your rolls consider yourself ‘especially’ lucky. Make sure to call in for a reservation. Or just try walking in, it’s well worth the wait. Enjoy!!!

Great food, but sketchy employees. One day they charge me for spicy mayo and tell me it has been their policy, the second day they won’t charge me a thing. Other than that love the food and glad they moved.

Good creative rolls and great food. Food is really good sure gets a 5 star. But Waiters are annoyingly pushy to purchase 50 nagiri when you have said you are content with your current nagiri selection.

This is my favorite sushi in town. They truly give their best to have fresh fish, beautifully crafted menu items, and a nice list of specials that keep getting refreshed. Now that they moved the new location is even better. Great ambiance, and the STAR sushi chefs at the open bar are just amazing. Highly, highly recommended!

Not impressed at all. Okay tasting food, slow service, rude waiters and poor ambience and décor. I felt like I was eating at an office building cafeteria. I definitely won’t be back. I much rather eat at sugarfish.

Sushi Yu/mi Too(SYMT) is for those who love rolls and rolls and more carb rolls… I feel that the owner changed his/her business direction and is now going after more tourists and those old customers who prefer Americanized Japanese food only. I guess the owner decided to forget those other old customers like me who prefer the old place where I only ate at the sushi bar for simple sashimi dishes, and not into carbs, rolls and fancy nonsense. I am so sorry to give you 1 star. It’s one of those«It’s me not you» reviews again. SYMT, you have left behind those of us who like a good o Japanese authentic ambiance and quality raw fish. There is nothing wrong with which customers you’ve chosen to go after. After all, I think if you like a cafeteria style décor and love carbs and rolls, you’ll love this place. As for me… meh…I sat down, went over the menu, got up and walked out. Sorry, this place is not for me, but I highly recommend it for those of you who love carbs of rolls. Have fun stuffing carbs and rolls, Unilocalers!

Great fast lunch place. Interesting in ovaries rolls. Stopped here because it was close to brooks brothers and was really surprised it was so good. Busy lunch crowd but service still really good. Would recommend certain rolls but everything looked good. So check out the menu and see what strikes your fancy.

Finally Yu N Mi is back! Amazing place for fusion rolls and nice dinner. They also have robata. Service is excellent. This place is much bigger than their old location. I always love sitting by the sushi bar here, it makes the experience much more authentic. What to order: Spicy Tuna #2 roll, baked crab hand roll, Beverly Roll, spicy tuna on crispy rice, seaweed salad

The best in Beverly Hills. So thrilled for Yu&Mi on their new, expanded location. They have the most inventive rolls, the freshest fish, and WONDERFUL service; Yu & Mi is consistently amazing! The chefs and the servers will go to great lengths to make sure you are happy, and when you become a regular, they will never forget you OR your order. You may even find your name on a sign on your table instead of a standard«reserved» sign one day… Nothing beats that when you’re taking a new friend to this spot!!! Everyone I’ve ever introduced to Yu & Mi has become a fan.

Living in Los Angeles for past 3 years I feel like I owe a lot of business a nice review in Unilocal and this is one of them ! Range 10 ~ 17 bucks u have over 10 rolls to choose from ! Also if u like fancy things, they also got froi gras and toro etc. interior is very new and updated, they just moved to next block from the previous location! Price, taste, quality is unbeatable in the neighborhood ! I work in Beverly Hills over 2 years ! For quick economic business lunch, the here is no better place for sushi! Especially for the hand rolls, when it get to your table, the seaweed is still crispy! Unbelievable speed and taste. They also get fresh fish everyday! I work at 7 everyday. Between 8 to 10 every morning they will have fish truck coming in everyday! Highly ethical professional standard for quality control of their food. A total five stars restaurant!

What a shame because I really wanted to like this place. Number one the décor was totally off for a sushi place. I felt like I was at a café. Would be a good idea to dim the lights a little and maybe put on some nice lounge music. The food was alright.

Stopped by for some to robata… you step into this place and you feel like you are in an American restaurant… it is a big, bright, tall ceiling restaurant that resembles no other Japanese restaurant I have ever been to, and 1:10 ratio of Asian to non-Asian customers… order was taken and after a little wait, he came out with a TRAY of our robata order… at that time I regretted coming in, knowing half the plate would be cold… and it was… they also used way too much sauce which overwhelmed the taste of the food but robata served cold didn’t help it. Robata should be served one piece at a time, basically serve it when it’s made, not placed on a plate waiting for the others to be done just to save a few plates or a few walks by the waiter. the grilled whole squid was rubbery and dry… and the grilled scallop in shell was really dry and chewy as well… but on the positive note the Wayugu beef sushi was fantastic though! It was grilled nearly to perfection! The Unagi sushi was grilled perfectly as well, but way too heavy on the sauce… overall, obviously with so many choices, you would have to knock me out and drag me in to get me to come back in again…

was good but overpriced, and the service was awful. The unagi roll was $ 18. I normally pay $ 10 elsewhere for the same quality of food. I had to order my drink 3 times before I got it. I was done with lunch and my drink had not arrived. If it weren’t because I was entertaining a client, I would have raised hell. Not worth your money.

I was not impressed. The food is good, over-priced for the simple décor. This used to be a Bakery, and somehow they should have updated the décor. I found the service to be less than you would expect, maybe because it was not too busy for a Saturday evening. Plenty of waiters watching TV in the back, not enough to help you with additional items from their sushi menu.

Great selection of sushi! One of the best places I’ve been to in LA. I would say the only negative is that they don’t really have a selection of wine by the glass. Only white option was chardonnay, but A+ on sushi options.

I used to go to the old location religiously with my friends for lunch. It was a small space and quiet. We’d just go in and out. The sushi is great, particularly the spicy tuna number 2, the albacore special roll and the baked seabass roll(treasure roll no scallops). The staff is the same and I love that they begin the recognize you and the sushi chefs are so nice, they want you to leave happy! The only problem for me is the new location doesn’t go with the sushi theme, maybe I’m just not used to it yet, but the new atmosphere isn’t my favorite. I love that this place fills me up, contrary to other sushi spots.

I am a big fan. I eat here 3 to 4 times a month with colleagues, dinner dates and my daughter who attends USC. The new location has a Robata menu that is a nice compliment to the sushi. Try the Carpacio sashimi entrees that are always different so you need to ask. Also, check out the prices before ordering specials as they can be very expensive(i.e. $ 25.00 a plate). They are going through growing pains now as the enhanced staff gets used to the new location and updated menu so they get four stars. I am sure that they will overcome this quickly because the owner is a perfectionist and is quick to comment to his employees when things are not up to his standards/expectations. Good enough sake list and hot food accompaniments for this perfectly located Japanese restaurant. You gotta try it once… it won’t be cheap but it will be good. They also t1ake reservations for the sushi bar and that is good for me due to my commute… enjoy

I used to go to the old location from time to time. The new location is very nice. It feels more clean, is bright and inviting. The owner Ted is always very friendly and serves great food. The quality of fish here is very good. They do great hand rolls and the new robata grill is awesome. You can get anything on the robata grill from chicken to crab legs to wagyu beef from Japan. They have a tempura eggplant dish with tuna on top which is amazing. If you can’t decide what to order Ted can choose for you, and he does a great job. They have live shrimp at the sushi bar and all their fish looks very fresh. I usually come for lunch and the service is always great.

Quality sushi. Wagyu sushi is the best and sweet shrimp. Although the chairs and tables get kinda crowded nearby the door, waiters even get to bump to you by accident because chairs gets too closed to each other, I’d still definitely coming back here.

Torched toro. INSANE nigiri, best I’ve ever had. Robata chicken with onion– fricking awesome. Not a cheap lunch but quality is amazing and when I went, early in lunch hour at the bar, the service was quick and very friendly.

Really disappointing service. After I have been seated no one didn’t came to serve for 15, maybe some more minutes. After server finally came she asked me what I want and just went to grab cc from other customer. Came back and started asking questions after I’ve said Iam ready to order after 15min of waiting… Now, I am at different sushi place… But this was really disappointed and poor service in the middle of Beverly Hills!

New location, same great sushi and sub par service. I was a fan of the original restaurant and was excited to see that the new location is a bit more modern, clean and has lots of seating. Just like the previous location the food came out quickly and was fresh and excellent. However, after that no one came to drop our bill. We had to flag someone down and then it took another 15 minutes for someone to run the card so we could get on with our evening. Hopefully they will get the service kinks worked out and get a liquor license:)
