This place is ok-ish i guess, the stripers are not up to the mark with fake everything. I just go there once in while because my friends force me to and they are used to the environment. The drinks are over-priced and the place seems to get way too crowded on the weekends, so much so that getting in seems impossible. I dont think i will stop going but i certainly dont enjoying doing so.

Meh. This place is l.a.m.e. Went for a Halloween party at 210 and found it rather interesting(disgusting?) that two really cute girls in our party were left standing outside. The two ladies in question were African American and Puerto Rican, respectively. I’ve heard rumors of this place’s virulently racist door policy. Well, the rumors are true. Oh, and they also like to «hold the door» to trump up parking charges in the self park lot: if they force people to stand around for a long time, and they charge for parking by the hour… well, you do the math. Not a very subtle technique, but there you have it.

I have been holding off joining Unilocal, but my experience at Bar 210 /PLUSH last Sat. night(7÷3÷10) put me over the edge to join. I had come up to L.A. from San Diego and was told by numerous people that this is a great«newer» spot to go. Being from out of town and not knowing and promoters or guest list people, my friend and I decided to get there early(10pm), in hopes of getting in before the huge crowd gets there. We were dressed up and looking good(not the douche downtown San Diego look) and when we got there, there was only one other guy in line. He told us that he had been in line for about 10 minutes. There was 6 people who worked there, just standing around doing NOTHING. They didn’t even acknowledge us. Come to find out, this guy has come with 4 girls, and they let the 4 girls in, but told him to wait outside(dick move) and when he asked the door guy when he could go in because his girl friends were waiting for him, they door guy kinda laughed and said«Who knows». His girl friends came back out about 5 minutes later trying to get him in, with no luck at all. It is still just him, my friend and I in line and no one else around(except valet… lol). Finally, the guy with«the list» comes up to me and says«do you have a table or whose list are you on?» I said that I had just drove up from San Diego and was told that this is a great spot to go to and that I purposely got here early because I am not on the list, being from San Diego. He said well then you won’t get in, you might as well leave. SERIOUSLY, DICK! There was no one around and I was ready to spend some good money that night. So I guess the morale of my story is, unless you have a hook up(and who knows how much that will even help), stay far away from this place. It seems to me that the people who work there don’t care about you unless you are on TMZ or willing to spend $ 5,000 on a table. BTW — we ended up @ Playhouse in Hollywood and had an INSANE night… better than we would have had at Plush I am sure.

Just to let you know, this lounge is located inside the Beverly Hilton(corner of Wilshire and Santa Monica, near the hotel parking entrance). My GPS kept saying, «Your destination is on the right». My friends and I kept missing it because all we saw was the Beverly Hilton. They should mention Santa Monica Blvd and not Wilshire when giving directions to this place. Anyhow, my friends and I arrived to 210 at 10:00.We mentioned someone’s name at the door and had no problem getting in. Then again there was no line at that time. 210 is a chill, relaxed lounge where you get to socialize and eat some appetizers. They typically play house music. Around 11 they open Plush. I read in some reviews that you need a stamp, but the night we went on, they let everyone in and they did not require a stamp. The music is awesome. All they play is hip hop. They even played the Laker anthem. The only reason why I didn’t give this place five stars is because of the guys. The girls here are gorgeous. The guys are okay. Mostly white guys. Ladies, I think this would be a great place to go with a date. Guys, this is a great place to pick up.

Everyone knows that people are hard to please when it comes to clubs. With the lines, covers, pricey drinks and general douchebaggery that often comes along with clubs, it’s hard work to make one work. However, I have to say I had a great time at Plush this weekend! First of all, the key for me is punctuality. Sure, it may not be very rockstar to arrive at a club early before a line forms, but it saves you so much hassle and it gives you more time to have cocktails at the bar(with no wait) so that you’re nice and toasty by the time the crowd is at its craziest! Secondly, everyone I dealt with was really nice and professional! No scowling bouncers or too-cool-for-school bartenders. I was also impressed with the layout. I’d never been here when it was Trader Vic’s(rest in peace), but there’s a nice outdoor area with a fire, plenty of space to dance and some seats and tables at Bar 210 that aren’t roped off for bottle service. Finally, it’s a rare treat to find a lounge/club that actually has amazing food! In our drunken stupor we ordered the sliders and truffle fries and they were AMAZING! To be completely honest with you, I was too focused on having fun with my girlfriends to really scope out the scene in terms of the crowd that goes here, but I know the music was good and we met some interesting people here and there. And really, what else can you ask for in a wild night out?!

This is my first, official Unilocal review. Go me! This past weekend a couple of girlfriends and I had ladies’ night here. After reading the reviews I was a little scared there would be some drama at the door, but no such thing! I’m convinced that the trick for an easy-in at some of these Hollywood clubs is to simply get to the place early. We arrived at the venue at 10pm and there wasn’t even a line. We name dropped the promoter I knew and walked right in(although I think at 10pm you could still breeze through without knowing a promoter). You first step into Bar210 and at around 1030pm they open the curtains to the back area of the venue – Plush Lounge. There wasn’t a strict velvet rope or anything. By midnight or so the entire place was PACKED. The crowd was diverse, the bartenders and wait staff pleasantly friendly. At some point in the night we had a serious case of the munchies and ordered sliders and truffle oil french fries at Bar210. So good! Soooo good that we couldn’t pull ourselves away from stuffing our faces to save our friend from«that» guy. Our bad ;) Clubbing sometimes is such a big ordeal, I know. But, if you come with the right attitude, pre-drink(a lot) beforehand, and arrive early with a happy mood, then you’re set for an entertaining night!

I love this place. It looks like a Hollywood club but is close to the Westside. The crowd is good but not as good as a hot spot in Hollywood. The door is reasonably tight, but not as tight as a Hollywood hot spot. However, the venue hits the nail on the head with its aesthetics/ambiance, as it is superb. This place is exactly what you would expect given its location. It is a hotel club with the next geographically comparable venue being MI-6 in West Hollywood. You get a mix of Westsiders and Hollywood people looking for a scene that is like a club in Hollywood. It will always be hard for this place to compete with Hollywood and I would never expect to go there expecting all the people to look like they just got off the set of some WB show. The door is tight for being outside of the normal club geography as they try to keep Hollywood standards but it is not even close to being as difficult as a hot spot in Hollywood. If you decide to roll up to the door at 11:30 with five guys and no girls, then you probably wont’ get in unless you tip the host or hostess. I don’t know a single person there and seem to always waltz right in there… with or without girls. Granted, I would suggest dressing nicely as that seems to be their biggest concern. The venue is great. You walk in and have access to an ultra lounge with a large bar. It is quieter and the perfect place to «get-to-know» somebody that you meet in the club area. When you enter the club area there is a slightly elevated area with ~10 tables, move past this and you’ll be next to another elevated area tables and the dance floor. The music when I have been there has been good. Typically a mix of hip-hop/pop mixed with 80’s, 90’s and electronic-pop/David Guetta… pretty similar to what you’ll find playing at Industry on a Friday night. The best area in the club is the outdoor area, which has a large fire pit and some small tables. It tends to get crowded out there as it is a pretty small area. In general, the club is pretty small. The club and outdoor areas are the equivalent size to Las Palmas(old LAX). As with any club, if you go with fun people, you will have a fun time and love the layout of the venue. Additionally, I’m brown, like rice and noodles, and got in fine. I don’t know if they played Miley Cyrus but as long as it’s the house remix of Party in the USA then I’ll roll with it.

Went for my birthday and was rather disappointed. I LOVE to dance… but the DJ have serious ADHD — no song played for more than 30 seconds before he was mixing in the next. SO annoying and frustrating. I danced because I was there, but I would not go back. The floor is fine and the room is very comfortable… if the music were better that might help.

Soo this place is horrible! you never know what night is good. Half the time plush isn’t even open just Bar 210? I gave this place a chance twice and was let down both times. I sent one of my clients over for bottle service(cause a promoter TOLDMEITWASGONNABEGREAT!) HA joke my client called me back 30 min later FURIOUS at me that I had sent him there. Plus the crowed is all weird old people. Never again!

I went Bar 210/Plush this past Saturday(4⁄17) with a couple girlfriends and Carina S.‘s summary of her night sums up the experience pretty well. We did eventually make it into Plush but it was not without an unnecessarily long wait. While waiting I observed that there are basically two groups that get in: Group 1) Table service(with reservations). I heard the clipboard guy say there is a 3 bottle minimum and you have to have under 10 people in your party. Group 2) Friends of the clipboard guy or a promoter that is physically there. And when I say friends with the promoter, signing up for a guest list is not going to make the cut. Saying that you know a promoter who is not there also doesn’t work. Trying to make friends at the door only works if you’re a blonde. It wasn’t the wait to get in that made me so disgusted at this club. Those honors go to the clipboard guy and the napoleon complexed promoter. Unprovoked, they were both beyond rude to everyone who didn’t fall into the groups that get in. For the most part, they ignored everyone else and when they did respond they were condescending and unhelpful. The worst was Little Napoleon who told a group of girls to f*** off. I’ve been clubbing for a good while and understand that clubs try to be «exclusive». And there are people who can be really obnoxious when trying to get into clubs. The girls who got cussed at were far from obnoxious, decent looking girls. I have no idea why they were treated so badly. Plush is a typical upscale club, so it was nice. The crowd was not all newly 21 which was also nice. The drinks were weak. The bathroom only had 3 stalls which meant another long wait… Overall we had a decent time, but not because Plush has any wow factors. Inside, it’s the typical club scene that you can find all over Hollywood/LA. The guys at the door made such a bad impression I probably won’t go back.

Went last Saturday night and I should have guessed by the crowd getting in — this place is really bad. It was filled with tourists and people who looked like Jersey Shore wannabes. Will not be going back… ever.

I was very hesitant to check out Bar 210/Plush for a friend’s bday after reading earlier reviews of the venue. BUT, as is typical of me, I sucked it up and headed on over. The venue takes up a portion of the old Trader Vic’s. Definitely an amazing, modern renovation of the space that fits the lifestyle and crowd these days. Arrived on the early side(10 p.m.) with a couple other girlfriends and the door managers were very polite and nice. While waiting for friends to arrive after me, I did notice a lot of good looking, well dressed party goers arriving. Nobody was treated poorly or turned down at the door. Bar 210 is intimately proportioned but a good area for pre-drinks. Plush’s side opens up sometime around 11 p.m.-ish, so expect to mingle around for a bit. Service was good, ample sized restrooms, drinks were mixed well and the staff were professional. I was curious about the crowd: overall, good looking, not the bridge and tunnel sorts you find in the typical Hollywood scene, which leads me to say, it’s a good vibe. The age varies but whatever the age, everyone knows what type of scene they’re getting into and enjoys it for what it’s worth. I did see the Canadian guy who was on the most recent episode of the Millionaire Matchmaker here on the night I went. I am definitely not a fan of THAT guy. I would definitely check this venue out again. I will say though, I left on the earlier side(shortly before 1 a.m.) and noticed a huge crowd of people out front waiting to get in. Looked like a typical Vegas mob in front of a club … but inside the club and bar, it was already filled to capacity. If anything, head over early! And a word of advice to others who have been or have yet to go, get yourself on the guest list(there may be conflicting circumstances that inhibit walk-ins), come with a good attitude, time it right(don’t show up late) and dress appropriately. You’ll only be treated with the same amount of respect you show to the staff at this place.

Went here for a friend’s birthday party, and quickly regretted it. The crowd is very odd — a peculiar mix between luxury hotel cougars and bridge-and-tunnel wannabes. Everyone had an air of entitlement, without the goods to back it up. The women weren’t very attractive(though most were parading around in hoochie dresses like they had just won a beauty pageant), and the guys were just trying too hard(there was this one guy with a Michael Jackson jacket from Thriller, a hipster hat, AND suspenders… dude? how many props do you need?). Even the DJ was pretty horrible(really? Miley Cyrus on a Saturday night at an «upscale» club? Go grab your headphones, mixer, and laptop… you’re fired). As a kicker, you’ll be pleased to know that the list is incredibly strict… even for friends of the various promoters. The ratios need to be in order(although there were quite of few less attractive women in the crowd — I guess, to the management, they count, even if they are ugly). My friend’s other friends weren’t admitted and he spent most of his birthday with a handful of people that were fortunate enough to get in, and get a precious stamp. I’ll save you the trouble. Don’t go, don’t waste your time and money(I didn’t even write about the expensive, weak drinks).

I came here for French Tuesday. My very good friend was celebrating his bday and it just happened to be on a Tuesday and since he was a member of FT, that’s how we wanted to celebrate and to our satisfaction it was at Bar 201/Plush. Plush, I’m giving you 5 stars only because of your amazing cocktail waitress Sarita. Wow! Talk about bombshell that is smart, sexy, out going and fun. Ohh, you should thank her for selling us all the shots we took, the bottle of champagne after refusing to take our initial three NOs; this all in addition to the initial bottle of vodka. It was so hard to say no to her. She could have asked for my wallet, taking all the cash(practically did when we ended up tipping her $ 150) and I would still be giving you guys this 5 star review. 5 stars… I know! Maybe it’s the love stuck stupidity that overcame me or maybe it’s because the bday boy and our party had a great time but either way you guys are golden. I do apologize for my boy yakking all over your couch and floor, but what do you expect from all that liquor? Oh, and we aren’t mad at you for kicking us out, only because we had a great time. To the douche bag that sat down at my table and tried to hold my hand… if I see you on the street, I will kick your comb over ass. It was too early in the night for me to get kicked out of a club! Thank you Sarita for having security remove him! To the grandma that left her Target hand bag on our seat, if you were hot, I would have let it slide. Know your place… you ugly and so the bag cannot stay! Sorry. Overall great time! Service is amazing. Trendy, upscale, and very immaculate(still talking about Sarita here — jk). Crowd is pretty mixed. Average age is probably 35 but this is probably due to FT. The women to men ratio to my amazement was really good.
