They are notorious for making their patients wait.

The finest endocrinologist I’ve had over my 28 years with diabetes. Extremely personable and professional. The wait can be long and parking is expensive but I think Dr. Goldberg is worth it. I especially like the way he takes the time to explain things well. There’s a reason why he’s a clinical professor at UCLA.

I really hate to give a negative review, because I really liked Dr. Goldberg when I met him the first time, but unlike the other reviewers I am not willing to wait more than 40 minutes for my scheduled appointment time. The first time I waited 30 minutes and I almost gave up on that as well.
It is just not ok, especially for an appointment made a month + in advance. Not to be cliché, but my time is valuable too and it is almost rude to assume people should wait around for poor time planning. The support staff is clearly lacking help; they need an experienced office manager immediately to resolve this issue.

Dr Neil Goldberg is a great doctor. He addressed all my concerns and helped me understand what is happening to my body. He always listens and does everything he can to help out the patient. He is a catch.

A DR IS NO BETTER THAN THE STAFF THAT SUPPORT HIM AND THEREFORE IN MY OPINION He IS DANGEROUS!!!
While I was at work today I received a frantic call from my daughter who has type 1 diabetes and sees Dr Neil Goldberg. She was frantic because she had been feeling dreadful for 2 days with glucose levels over 560 (normal hovers around 100.). I wanted to call 911 but my daughter insisted on calling her Dr, which she did early this morning. The receptionist told my daughter that she needed to talk to the doctor before allowing her to be seen. I was 50 miles away without a car as I frantically heard her labored words saying she called the dr back ²¹⁄₂ hours later to be told harshly «I told you I would call you back.» Around 1:00 that day she received a call back saying the dr had left and that my daughter should come in on Monday to see the nutritionist.(it was Friday when my daughter called) My daughter became upset and the receptionist hung up on her.
I don’t know if she was treated this poorly because she had an HMO, or if the dr doesn’t know how his staff is compromising the life of his patients. I only know that she had a serious medical emergency and was denied treatment. Also this is the second encounter with this receptionist. Dr Goldberg would be well advised to find staff don’t jeopardize the life of his patients.

Dr Hornichter was my original Doctor until he retired and was assigned to Dr. Goldberg. Let me tell you Dr. Goldberg is the best Diabetic care doctor in the US he also deals with a lot of thyroid but Diabetes is his Specialty. Due to his help and care I have lost 60 LBS! got my A1C level back to 5.5 (where it needs to be) and he is fast on getting those prescriptions out in a cool prompt manner. Downside not worth docking a star is the reception staff. They are a bit clueless and rotate from time to time. I don’t think its Dr. Goldberg doing this its Cedars. Also they DO NOT validate parking that is a bit pricey in that structure. Come from the north side of La Cienega trust me you will know why when you get there and try and make that left turn into parking. Overall this Doctor saved my life and he is ALWAYS accepting new patients so if you are a type 1 or type 2 diabetic SEE HIM if you cant afford it apply for Cedars-​Sinai Financial AID they cover all doctors visits in their network!! if anymore questions please PM ME I can go on for a while ! HE is by appointment only unless Emergency… And don’t forget Charlotte SHE IS THE BEST ALSO !!! you gotta sit down with her and listen to her and if you do there’s no reason why you cant get that Diabetes under control!!!

So the wait wasn’t all that great, but i think it’s not too uncommon to wait at dr’s office =/​Butttt Dr Goldberg was SO great!!! He’s really so SO friendly and really listens to your concerns while at the same time trying to make you feel better about wutever it is that ur worrying about. He’s just really sweet and caring and funny too!!! I loved how he PERSONALLY called me back with my test results, which came out fine. I guess I’m super healthy and maybe I’m just a complete worry wart! lol. Would totally recommend him!!! =)
