NOV2014: CLOSED. Though their phone number is not disconnected and still goes through to a machine, there is no chocolate shop at 275 Robertson. The shopgirl in the café told me it was no longer there.

I placed an order on behalf of my employer three weeks in advance and paid upfront for our Holiday Chocolates. Mind you that we give these chocolates out to our high-end clientele. The owner Jen never returned my phone calls or emails; very unprofessional. She not only ruined our Holiday gift arrangements, but she also stole our money. Terrible place; a good business starts with good customer service.

Awww the owners are so sweet — one of the reason that keeps me coming back. This is a little shop tucked away in a small shopping alcove(the place isn’t even big enough to be a strip mall). Unfortunately the store front doesn’t face the street so i think many people miss it while walking past. Despite that, i think they do a lot of corporate business i.e. custom made to order stuff for events, promotions etc. It is owned by a mum and her 2 daughters. Both times i’ve been here, i was served by one of the daughters. Can’t remember her name but she had short hair. She took the time to explain how the chocolates are made(all hand made) and where the cocoa and other ingredients are sourced from. i can tell she’s really passionate about her work. all that comes through to the chocolate because they are simply delicious to die for bits of heaven. i love the choc Prada and Louboutin heels. Looks too good to eat. i’ve not bought them but it will make very good gifts. i always leave with a small box of assortments. i pick about 10 – 20 different ones because there is so much to choose from. Personally i only like dark chocolate so have tried almost all their dark chocolate flavors. My favorites are the dark choc truffle, dark choc ginger, dark choc with sea salt, dark choc orange peel. The champagne truffle is good too but i think that is the only milk chocolate i tried. Great quality and awesome customer service. And i was always given samples. The last sample i tried was dark choc with chili. it was so good but they didn’t make enough for sale. hopefully next time.

Very good chocolate shop — fancy, tasty chocolates at a reasonable price(for a custom chocolatier). Note — the map on Unilocal’s page is a little off. The shop is a block north of Olympic, not two blocks north of Wilshire. I think it’s the difference between S. Robertson and N. Robertson.

The ladies of Gelfonds rock!!! Best chocolate shop on the left coast, seriously!!! I have been supplying my east coast friends with Gelfonds(per their request after the first year) for the last 4 years. They had requested a competitor until I switched to Gelfonds. The chocolate combo’s they created are amazing!!! They have peanut butter cups that aer out of this world as well as scotchmallow bars that are heavenly and these clusters they created that are a cluster of yummy goodness! Sending love to the ladies at Gelfonds!!!

This place is Ah-May-Zing! Thanks to Unilocal,I stumbled while in the area to the little café next door. While getting out of the car, I saw the word«chocolate» on their window, and almost killed my boyfriend while pushing him out of the way to get inside. THEYMAKECUSTOMCHOCOLATES! This is the stuff that you get made to make people OOH and AHH and be jealous at how unique and creative custom chocolates are! Perfect for events! Teri, the owner, and her daughter are adorable at how they tease each other. Teri grabbed me to the back, in their workshop area, to show me their latest chocolate designs. High heels! What girl doesn’t love that?! There were FOOTBALLS, that look exactly like real footballs, an Eiffel Tower, and even Christian Louboutin high heels at the window! I was so excited and giddy at my new discovery that I immediately grabbed my boyfriend’s camera phone and started snapping pictures, saying«I NEEDTO UnilocalTHISPLACE!», when Teri told me she’s never heard of Unilocal.I even had my boyfriend pull up the website on his phone so we can show her what Unilocal is! She was so cute trying to explain how internet connection works(or her theory). The way she talked to me and showed me their goodies was with extreme passion and excitement. She genuinely was EXCITED at showing me their works! I can’t believe I’m the first one on Unilocal to discover this place.** They even recently did Kourtney Kardashian’s baby shower or something. decorated a bunch of chocolate high heels for em. Check out the photos I put up! I’ll be putting more up since they’re on the boyfriend’s cellphone. Seriously, if you’re hosting an event. a wedding, a birthday bash, anything. this is the perfect place to get something unique that will have alllllllll your guests gushing! I’m definitely considering ordering something cute made just in chocolate for my next year’s wedding: D

Mm. I love me some chocolate. Lee Gelfond is right down the street from where I work. I was looking for something cute to give my sweetie for Easter and my boss told me to check it out. First, the chocolate there is awesome — there is this s’more she makes that is unreal. Graham crackers, marshmallow, chocolate — its all there! When I was there I got a prepackaged easter basket — everything from the malt balls to the petit fours were incredible. She makes molds of all kinds, truffles, chews — you name it!
