The management here was shockingly bad for such a charming looking Italian restaurant. Let me lay out the facts for you. 1. At 7:00PM my group called for an 8:00PM party of three reservation. They told us that we could be fit in with no problems. 2. We walked in and we noticed that they seemed understaffed, but even though it was crowded it still looked fine. 3. We were seated by a waitress at a table for six. While I was sitting down I noticed a used napkin on my chair. I gave it to the waitress and she gave me a weird look as she took it. 4. The waitress told us that this table was a «sixth stop» and that it was reserved for another party. She told us that we had to move. 5. We reminded her that we had called and that you had said there would be no seating issue. She replied that there was a table near the front that was soon to be vacated and we would be seated there. 6. When we approached the soon to be vacated table it turned out that the elders seated at the table were having their coffee and they did not look like they’d be leaving soon. 7. When we asked to speak to the manager she replied that SHE was the manager tonight and said that we could wait by the door. 8. She then proceeded to deliver a sarcastic apology then she rolled her eyes and went to talk to the next table. 9. When we confronted her about the fake apology she threatens to call the police. We have so far expressed our dissatisfaction in a peaceful manner that has not included profanity or personal insults. 10. When we turn to walk out the door she thanks us sarcastically. We turn around she threatens to call the police yet again. We walk out as dissatisfied customers. In summary she kicked us out of the table we where seated at and then she threatens to call the police when we peacefully express our dissatisfaction. Please consider carefully when contemplating whether to have dinner here or not.

Wow what a gem!!! This restaurant is intimate and charming and feels like family is cooking for you. Very personable, welcoming and delicious! I really enjoy the calamari salad, pear salad with chicken, tuna tartare, and their fresh fish is out of this world! Im excited to try everything on the menu! Beverly Hills restaurant without the attitude. The food speaks for itself! Quality!

This place was perfect for our early dinner date — great romantic yet BH casual ambiance, food was delicious and the prices are reasonable. We really enjoyed the burrata salad, meat lasagna and fettuccine alfredo. We will be back.

Cute and cozy place in BH. We came here for my husband’s company dinner and we had a blast! First of all, shout out to our servers that night – can only remember Jared’s name(he went above and beyond to make sure we had a great time) but his female counterpart was great too. It is a small place but the way it is set up, I can see how a large group can be accommodated on one side of the restaurant while the other side is other guests. I don’t think the other guests were bothered by us that night and we were loud. The food was great. I loved all the vegetarian options. We started with yummy bread, eggplant parm, bruschetta, pizzas, caprese – all delicious! The two salads we got were good – Caesar tasted really fishy however but the mixed greens salad was good. The main dishes included more pizza(loved the jalapeño/Serrano pizza), fettuccine alfredo with chicken, a clam dish, and a penne dish. Dessert was tiramisu(amazing!) and butter pecan ice cream. Overall, we loved the place. Very intimate, great service and great food. They accommodated our large party well. I definitely want to come back and actually see a menu(all of this was preordered for us). Parking – we ubered but apparently there is a free lot in the area, or you can do metered parking, etc.

Wish I could give 4.5 stars. Everything was very good but nothing«wowed» me. I came for dinner with the family and tried a variety of dishes. The first thing I noticed was how similar it seemed to da Pasquale a few doors down. The bread is pretty much identical and one of the servers I recognized from over there. The bread they give you when you sit down is very good. We started with a bruschetta dish. It was good but didn’t have enough tomatoes. The waiter actually brought us a big bowl of tomatoes when we mentioned it which was very nice. The salmon was good not amazing. It came with a tomato sauce and veggies on the side. The linguini vongole was really good. I think the pasta is made in house. The staff is very friendly and the restaurant has a cozy old school atmosphere. It’s quiet and not one of the«trendy» Italian spots in the city which I like.

I have been coming here at least once a week for almost 5 years now. The food is amazing! I work in the area and Hot Oven has become like a second home to me. The chicken cognac is absolutely phenomenal and a favorite amongst my coworkers and I. I never cared for Italian food until trying this place and it’s because I believe I have never had real homemade pasta the way they make it here. The owner Sohail is truly accommodating and caring of his business as well as his customer’s happiness. He is always a pleasure to see as are his staff. I would give more stars if I could! Though I have only come during the day, would be a cozy and romantic spot for a date should you need a place to take someone! Definitely try the chicken cognac, penne with pink sauce and chicken, the meatballs(mmm), bruschetta … I could go on and on! Try it all!

One star is being generous because if I could give zero it would get no stars. Wow, ordered a pizza and was told 45 minutes so it comes 1.5hr later and the pizza is cold but that’s not even the most incredible part of this great experience. The delivery guy arrives and I sign the bill and give him a tip. What does he do he curses me in Spanish and calls me a Puta or translation into English since the asshole thought I didn’t know Spanish is a bitch as he is leaving. Nice service and good to know how you think of your customers.

IL Forno Caldo is a small cozy yet rustic Italian Café perfect for an Italian restaurant on busy Santa Monica Blvd in Beverly Hills… Actually 3.5 Stars. The food is classic old school Italian done right not great but good. The homemade bread with aged balsamic and extra virgin olive oil is indeed great. Savor it as after the initial few pieces they charge for each order of bread. The Penne with Pink sauce and the Cognac Chicken were both good. The Caprese salad and the Risotto more bland and pedestrian in nature. The service is welcoming and old school. The restaurant wasn’t busy so even the chef came out to engage the guests which was an interesting dynamic. He kept telling us how special the food was and then asking us to agree and rave about his dishes while he was standing next to our table. The prices are reasonable and the feel is cozy and comfortable. The wine selection is the same. The general feeling after the meal was good, fine, ok nothing exhilarating or too write home about but steady, straightforward and good… We passed on the Tiramisu dessert and instead meandered over to Sprinkles for Cupcakes lol

We went to this place just randomly, we explored Beverly Hills and wanted to eat somewhere quickly. This place looked a bit fancy and we thought that it will be too expensive to have a dinner for a group of 6 people. However, it turned out that the prices are really reasonable, for example an average place of salads is $ 10. I paid for my soup $ 7.5. Moreover, the food was really delicious and fast! Our waitress was very friendly. Before the leaving I checked in on Unilocal and we got the Tiramisu dessert! So I highly recommend this place!

Went out for a nice Italian dinner ! Very classic old school romantic place to take out a special someone on a date Ordered penne pink sauce and my girlfriend had the lasagna and had a Cesar salad as a side Cesar salad — was decent but needed more dressing and in order for the salad to be coated with dressing the salad was a bit wet so it kinda run off it and wasn’t enough Penne pink sauce was absolutely delicious Lasagna was tasty but it was very small portion and a lasagna has to have multiple layers of dough and this one barley had 2 Overall very delicious place I would go again!

Came for DineLA. I love the ambience of this place. It looks like a rustic, tucked away café in the middle of Italy! The bread was amazing! Paired with the balsamic and olive oil? Pretty much perfection. I had the bruschetta for the appetizer and then the fettucine alfredo with prosciutto. The bruschetta was fresh, with the delicious bread! I ate all of it, no regrets. I love prosciutto, so I had pretty high expectations for this. It met them, and then some! The prosciutto perfectly balanced the creaminess of the pasta. Only deterrence was the time it took for each dish to be brought out, but I would definitely come back. I would also drive out of my way to come here. Great for a date of any kind; sibling date, date date, friend date, date with mom. Great job!

Was walking around Beverly Hills with my bf on a Sunday night when we both became hungry and wanted to get some dinner. I remembered seeing this restaurant on Groupon, so we bought one($ 20 for $ 40 of food) on our walk over to the restaurant. The restaurant was on the small side, but nicely decorated and very intimate. There were bottles of wine all around. We really enjoyed the complimentary warm bread with a balsamic vinegar and olive oil dip(we finished all of the bread!). Our waitress was nice and recommended a few different dishes. We ended up ordering: Full Size Caesar Salad($ 9): big enough for two to share as an appetizer! This was one of the better Caesar Salads I have had – the dressing was light and tasted fresh. I wonder if the dressing is made in house… Chicken in Cognac Sauce($ 17): recommended by our waitress. 2 pieces of chicken breast in cognac sauce with mushrooms, potatoes, and veggies. This dish tasted great and actually reminded my of chicken marsala(one of my favorite dishes). We both enjoyed this. However, the potatoes were really salty Meat Lasagna($ 14): was OK. It was cheesy(which I love), but was nothing that wowed either of us. Takeaway: The prices were great, the ambiance was wonderful, the service was 5 stars. However, the food was OK – it was nothing special and I thought that it was too salty(I drank about 3 cups of water at dinner) The prices are still affordable without the Groupon, but FYI – the prices at the restaurant are $ 1 more than the prices on their menu online.
