Came here for The Dazz Band concert and was very disappointed. The Dazz Band did great but the service of H.O.M.E was crap. It took forever for the waitress to come take our order and then after she wrote it down she came back 20 mins later to ask if we could remind her of what we ordered. We then waited an hour to receive it. I believe she forgot to place the order. They need to hire and train more servers, especially for busy nights like this.

Jan 17, 2016(Sunday Brunch). FIRST& probably LAST time visiting H.O.M.E. 90210. I initially looked at their web site. Ok, so nice pics. Menu items sounded interesting. Red flag. Calendar not updated since November 2015. Sorry, past performances are of no use«today». I gave that a pass, phoned for more info and to make a reservation. Spoke with«Mo». Her phone etiquette was nil to none. I just wanted her to give me a little info; the cost of Sunday brunch, what it included, who would be performing etc. Basic stuff. She sure didn’t try to sell me on coming to H.O.M.E; especially since it would be our first time. Not a good first point of contact. Made reservation and hung up feeling like… hmmmm. Because we wanted to try something different for Sunday brunch, we kept the RSVP. Red flag. Upon arriving around noon, we were astonished to find the place TOTALLY empty; all except for one other guest and a three piece band. Huh? Empty? Sunday brunch? The band sounded good; we reluctantly took our seats. It took about 10 minutes before our server even acknowledged us. Again, the place was empty. The printed menu looked like it was created by a 5th grader. I could have done better. Mo did tell me we could select 3 items off the«pre-set» menu; one starter, one appetizer and one entrée. This was not the case. Our server(Tim) said we could only select 2 items. I ordered the Shrimp & Grits and my husband ordered the Lamb for our entrees. A few more items on the menu to choose from would have been nice. We were still deciding whether to stay. I suggested we just pay our bill(even though we hadn’t eaten anything) and leave. Our saving grace was the conversation the ONLY other guest in the restaurant sparked up with us. This was NOT the experience we were hoping for. She expressed the same sentiment. No fault of the band; they were good, but where were all the PEOPLE??? The small plate consisting of 2 mini croissants, 1 mini fruit tart and 1 mini chocolate éclair for us to share all looked like they were thawed and purchased from Costco. We didn’t eat those. The«pre-made» bottomless Mimosa’s poured from a pitcher were juiced down for sure; could barely taste the champagne. To our surprise our entrée’s were pretty good and Tim was nice. Thus my 2 stars. Red flag. 20% gratuity was automatically added to our bill! What?!! Tsk, tsk. VERY tacky and quite frankly an insult to say the least. Most restaurants will only do that for large groups. This $ 49.00 brunch is overpriced; it should be more like $ 39.00 per person! I’m willing to pay more than $ 49.00 per person for brunch; when it’s worth it. Also, things always look better when the lights are dimmed. We were there in broad daylight. The décor left a lot to be desired. White walls with barely anything on them only works in certain places. A splash of color here and there would do wonders for this spot! I’m all about giving credit where it’s due. The proprietors of H.O.M.E are to be commended for what they are«trying» to do. They must be doing something right because they’re still in business. Hats off to those who have had a good experience at this establishment. I can only trust that the evening Jazz sessions are more representative of H.O.M.E. Brunch definitely was NOT. We will be hard pressed to return.

Their food was excellent! I had friends in town and we went for dinner yesterday(Friday) & had a great time! My friends and I had four different entrees and each plate was beautifully presented & we jokingly argued about which entrée was better because they were each so good!!! Looking forward to going back and having my dish again it is my new favorite meal! Thank you H.O.M.E for the wonderful food, great music, and wonderful customer service!

My hubby and I were invited here for a show and dinner and we took a friend, we all agreed that it was a wonderful experience. It was Halloween night, the only thing we all did not like was waiting in line before they would let us in, however they did come out and apologize, stating they were having some technical difficulties. I am glad they did announce it or we were going to leave and go to Mastro’s for dinner. Once inside and seated the ambiance was very pleasant and relaxing. The restaurant was very nice and clean and the restroom was very clean as well(I always check the restrooms before eating at a restaurant I DONOTDODIRTYRESTROOMS) The servers were all in uniform and looked clean and professional, good thing. We ordered drinks and they arrived in a timely fashion, however the BOMB part was the food. My hubby ordered the Short Ribs and he is not loose with his change, however we wanted to place another order for the Short Ribs because they were so flavorful and tender. I ordered the Corn Bisque and a Caesar Salad both were delightful and my girlfriend ordered the Shrimp and Grits. I am very PICKY and my girlfriend is more PICKY than I am and she doesn’t cook, LOL Needless too say I did a taste test on everything that was ordered and must say much too my surprise the food was superbly prepared, it all was excellent. I wish they delivered, my life would be much happier, just thinking about having their chef prepare my meals each night is a caterers dream come true. The service was excellent as well, Courtney was our server and I felt sorry for her, however she wrote down my order with all of the instructions to a T, Courtney did not miss anything that I instructed the Chef to do(I write a book when the food is pricey, I do not want any mistakes made when I am paying that much for Soup, not too mention my hubby’s Short Ribs of which were a very, very small portion gourmet style), Lol The parking for Beverly Hills was convenient and only 5.00 flat fee, WOWZERS!!! The only bad part was I had too prepare my hubby something too eat when we got home, he is the kind of Man that has a construction workers appetite, Lol I spoke to some of the other customers and they said it was a good night, however they said the food and service was the reason they continue to come and that sometimes things don’t run that smooth(in the restaurant business you have your OFFDAYS) I value my opinion and know a lot about food and how it taste, when it is fresh and the quality of meats and produce and if it is cooked right and they were SPOTON with the freshness of their product and KUDO’S to the Chef, he/she did an excellent job. The entertainment is a big PLUS, the singer’s were great and I would DEF pay too see them in concert cuz they were Dope! I will return, however I WILLNOTWAITINLINE. So there you have it, MYOPINION, I keep it 100!!!

I was excited about going to H.O.M.E as I’ve been looking for a nice place to hear some music, a meal and drinks. The ambience was clean looking but seemed to be missing something. Not sure what… Maybe it needs some art on the walls or something. They should definitely invest in a better than cardboard sign with their name on it on the stage. Ok there is an entertainment fee. Ok fine, I was aware of that but I didn’t care for it being included in my food bill… why not collect it at the door to make sure there’s no confusion at the table. A hostess was at the door that didn’t seem to be doing much else but watching everyone. There were only 2 waitress the night I was there. A Saturday night, you’d think that would be a busy night and staff would be beefed up a lil. So aside from our waitress taking a long time before getting us anything at the table… including a menu, she was trying to do her best. Now some people may think that it’s quaint to have waitresses that is overly friendly. However, I think differently when the entrees are in the $$$ range. I expect excellent service. It took a long time to get our food. I don’t know what was going on in the kitchen but even our waitress was frustrated by it. At least we found that out when we had to stop her to fill our drinks. So I ordered the Chicken and Red Velvet Waffles. To say Meh is an understatement. I was starving hadn’t eaten since early that day… so I consumed the TV Dinner Banquet like overly fried chicken and the 1 little Red Dye Leggo my Eggo waffle that was cut up in 4’s and sprinkled with powdered sugar. I mean really a leg and thigh hard fried like that and not even seasoned very well. Kind of ridiculous. Some ladies at a different table ordered the same thing after seeing it on my plate and were very upset by the meal. The chicken they had was burnt and so were the waffles. Ok now the bill. Like I said they added the Entertainment fee into the bill. A friend joined us at the table later in the show and the waitress didn’t even ask if we wanted separate bills or anything. On the table was a bill for all 3 of us that included a 20% gratuity. WTF. The waitress explained that the system automatically adds the gratuity. but I’m sorry take that off! People that go to a restaurant with $$$ pricing know how to tip for great service and will do so when warranted. The service nor food was deserving of 20%. It seemed that many people around the restaurant had the same issue as we heard mumbling through out. Come on H.O.M.E we expect so much more from you. Some suggestions, because I like others would like you to be successful! — Get your staff professionally trained or hire seasoned fine dinning staff.(waitresses, busers, and hostess) — Get the cover charge aka«Entertainment Fee» at the door — Fire and hire a new chef that really knows how to cook. — Dim the lights a little throughout the restaurant and put candles on the table.

I was excited that I was going out for evening of entertainment. I was thrilled when the menu had jerk chicken but when I ordered then waitress stated that she gave me the wrong menu. Here it is 2 hrs later and I still don’t have the wings that ordered. I need to be H.O.M.E.

LOVELOVELOVETHELIVEJAZZANDTHEFRIENDLYSTAFF! EXCELLENTSERVICE! We came from Orange County and you made us feel at home. I ONLY dine at restaurants which offer LIVEJAZZ! Liz Lomax and The Boppin’ Institute were fabulous Sept. 4th. Thank you H.O.M.E. for featuring LIVEJAZZ. This would have been a 5 * review except… The menu is limited, and a bit over priced. Although the salmon and asparagus were cooked perfectly, both were a little too salty. Also, there is only one dessert offered. I certainly will return and hope the suggestions are helpful.

We really enjoyed our Sunday Jazz Brunch at H.O.M.E. Conveniently located in the middle of Beverly Hills next to a public parking lot, the restaurant and bar is beautifully furnished and has a large open space with a great sound system and excellent acoustics. The proprietor, hostess and wait staff were all very welcoming and helpful. The food was very good. I had the smoked salmon starter, which came with toast points and a nice spring salad with a tangy honey dressing. My main course was a Bourbon French Toast(yummy!) with a couple of pieces of fried chicken. My wife had the Truffle Mac & Cheese starter which was delicious, and the Shrimp & Grits as her main course, also quite tasty. The Jazz trio that performed for us was quite good and we enjoyed the song selections and musicianship of the artists. While it may be too expensive for us to come every Sunday, we had a great time and we plan to return soon.

This place has been shut down due to code violations & they now have a suspended liquor license… Indefinitely! Read all the negative reviews & it’s clear why this place is not a viable business. Poor customer service, crappy food, substitute liquor & high prices equals a recipe for disaster… There are many great places in Beverly Hills to spend your money… This isn’t one of them!

Very good ambiance, music and location but I went to a concert on July 17, 2015 to see Chico Debarge. The customer service was horrible there was only one waitress for the first 2 ½ hours and our food wasn’t very warm, drinks over priced and I was just shocked. Because I’ve been here a few times for events and this was the worst, and I felt like the waitress did not deserve the Gratuity that was added to my $ 67.00 bill!!! If you order make sure you don’t lol on the website because the menus change nightly.

I just had a great meal, but terrible service. Unfortunately the food didn’t compensate for the poor service. Entrées came out with appetizers and appetizers came out with the entrées, and I made the mistake of ordering dessert to go. 30 minutes after I ordered the dessert and 25 minutes after I paid the bill, my bread pudding arrived. It was delicious. They added a 20% gratuity to the bill, and then the waitress said I could add an additional tip specifically for her. What??? The 20% was shared across the wait staff, bartender, etc. I thought based on the service I would pass on any additional tip. They have some serious kinks to work out.

This is a great event space. There’s ample metered street parking around the area and valet is an option. When walking in you can’t help but notice the open seating area. There’s a main stage for performances and speaking engagements. To the left is another seating area that leads to the outside. patio. The patio is good for people to take pics behind the event’s backdrop or for smokers(don’t quote me on the smoke area. I could be wrong). Next to the side seating area is a bar that serves up beers and cocktails. Make sure you call ahead of time because most likely there’s a private event. There’s always exceptions to the rules ;)

Okay, I’m back with good news: 1) after my initial review I heard on my office voicemail that someone from H.O.M.E. had called to confirm my reservation on Saturday night. 2) brunch was fine. It was, in fact, on Sunday! I was shocked to see how EMPTY it was! We were informed that many reservations were canceled because Groupons didn’t apply on holidays, including Mother’s Day.(I love Groupon but really people?! Cheaping out on your mothers?!) Their calendar was completely off. Another(private) event that was scheduled for 7pm actually started at 2. Which made things awkward, as the proprietor approached our table to inform us that after we finished eating, we were welcome to stay in the facility but had to move to accommodate the private event. He was gracious and professional enough, but the situation itself was awkward and should have been avoided with better management. The event hosts were literally walking around us, setting up centerpieces and table numbers while we had brunch. (We ended up having great time after being moved back to the bar, but that was because we knew some of the people attending the private event and it became a bit of a reunion. Otherwise, the bar area would’ve been isolated and lonely.) Brunch: it was a prix-fixe menu which included bottomless mimosas. The complimentary pastry basket was uninspiring– dry and room-temperature, similar to what you might get at your average hotel continental breakfast. There was a good selection of options– one starter and one entrée per person. The mac and cheese was good. The shrimp and grits were good. The shrimp was actually too salty. My mom’s halibut was good. A bit dry. Her smoked salmon starter was very good. Our server was very nice and attentive, and the hostess was friendly. Normally I don’t review places based on unique circumstances– I try to keep it about the food and service, but because this place is a supper club and seems to derive a good bit of business from special events, this the kind of wrinkle that has to be ironed out. Also, it is expensive and the experience was lacking in value. One expects seamless service at that price point. Final note: the bread pudding was the best thing I ate. GETIT. It was not included in the prix fixe(nor comped for our trouble), and I don’t remember what it cost, but it was amazing. Oh, and the music was good. But a place like that needs some real ambience to work…

We went to H.O.M.E. last night for a girls night dinner & it was absolutely AMAZING!!! Our server Rachael gave great recommendations for drinks, everyone had Jameson & ginger beer. We sampled several of the appetizers, warm beet salad, pear salad, chicken skewers & the CRABCAKES! I love a good crab cake & the ones we had last night were delectable! I had the braised short rib, with the truffle Mac n cheese & roasted carrots… WON’T HEDOIT!!! That plate was soooooooooooo damn delicious that I woke up thinking about it this morning! Oh & the white chocolate bread pudding with the balsamic strawberry gastric was a party for my taste buds!!! Executive Chef Marques absolutely showed out & has gained a loyal following from my group! I’d definitely recommend H.O.M.E. to any & everyone!

Came here for a birthday party for my boss. The name came up because a few of my friends have been here before, but the night just kept coming up short… –You can only make reservations online, as their hours are a bit erratic and leaving a message takes days to get a response to. They also will just defer you to the site to book. –There’s a $ 10 entertainment fee per person to come in, and a $ 3.75 per slice fee for birthday cake. Neither of which is mentioned when you book online. –The menu is tiny and the portion sizes are even smaller. My mac and cheese was delicious, but it was over in about 2 bites. Prices for food and drink were actually fair considering it’s Beverly Hills. –The crowd is odd here. It seems like a young hip place but we seem to have been there on what we referred to as «geriatric night» –But despite all of that, it’s a swanky place and it could have been salvaged if the service was not seriously terrible. Our waitress blew off our table and then when she did come to take our orders, she couldn’t keep the orders straight. One of my friends ordered a Pinot noir, and she came back to the table with a Pinot Grigio. My friend told her it was the wrong wine, so she took it back… and came back with ANOTHER Pinot Grigio. She said the bartender couldn’t figure out what was what, but I don’t get how she couldn’t have just looked at the wine and realized it was wrong. Then, when my friend pointed out the error, the waitress started getting defensive, threatened to get a new server for the table and yelled at my friend. She went back to the bar and filled up the glass with a red wine, and then seemed to be fine after that. It was so, so uncomfortable. The music was great and we did have fun, but I don’t think I would ever return here. Definitely would not recommend based on my experience.
