considering it’s french&thus going against my ‘french cosmetics-italian fashion’ motto in life, i have to give faconnable 5 stars just cuz my dad’s always worn it&i’ve always given their pull-overs as presents to guy friends in the past&even tho they’re not as old as my dad, everyone i’ve ever introduced to the brand seems to luv anything from this place. eh, luxury is worth paying for.

I love Façonnable, which in French(obviously, for some) means«fashionable.» My first experience with Façonnable was when, after graduating from my PhD program after 8 years of graduate school where I only wore jeans, T-shirts, polo-shirts, I suddenly needed to return to my third year of medical school(meaning I needed an entire professional wardrobe stat!). I constructed my collection of professional clothing from sale pieces found at Nordstroms’ Rack. The best, most colorful and durable articles of clothing turned out to be made by Façonnable. This was 3 to 4 years ago, and since then Façonnable has changed head designers, and built stand-alone boutiques throughout the USA(including the store in Beverly Hills that I now frequent). They have also restricted the items and styles that Nordstroms can carry such that there is a wider selection at these boutiques. I usually only shop at Façonnable during one of their twice-yearly sales since their pants and shirts run about $ 150 – 250 each at retail prices — I cannot afford this being a medical resident at UCLA. But, coming from someone who used to spend twice this amount on individual articles of «fashionable» clothing which was neither as well made, durable, nor as long-lasting in terms of fashion trends when I shopped at Gucci, Saks, and Neiman’s(when I had more disposable income), Façonnable provides a superior product. Provided, of course, that one is interested in classically beautiful clothing that can be worn for many years.
