They ran out of organic milk, so that was a major disappointment. Almost went somewhere else as the street is lined with frozen yogurt and desert places. Table was uneven as well, needs to be fixed.

Pretty good and pretty pricey! If you don’t mind shelling out a little extra for a tasty, novel, and customizable ice cream experience, definitely give Creamistry a try. The interior is bright and cute with a decent amount of seating. The cashier was pleasant and immediately asked me if it was my first time, and since it was, she explained to me how to order. She was also helpful when I was having trouble deciding on a topping. I like a lot of things about this place: you can choose your base(including vegan sorbet and coconut milk), and there are plenty of flavors and toppings. It’s fun to watch the ice cream being made — it’s like being in a mad scientist’s lab! I chose the cookie butter with marshmallow crème mixed in to the premium base; apparently it’s a popular combination. The flavors were definitely true to their name, and the texture was really interesting. Definitely creamy, no iciness at all thanks to the liquid nitrogen. It melts beautifully in the mouth, but interestingly when you’re scooping it with a spoon, it reminds me of almost of soft clay or putty, dense and just a little bit stretchy. I found my combo to be a little bit too sweet and rich, but it was still yummy, and since I could only eat half of the small size, the bonus was I got to eat it again the next day! I’m looking forward to coming back and trying a different flavor combination. Tip: there is currently a Groupon — for $ 12, you get 4 vouchers that are worth $ 5 each(so worth $ 20 total). 1 per customer per visit. This definitely makes a difference since the small ice cream is $ 5.50, I believe!

It was my first time at Creamistry with my friend Allyson. The atmosphere was very bright and welcoming. The employees greeted us nicely and showed us how everything worked. I’m so glad they offered vegan options to accommodate our needs! I will definitely be back again the coconut ice cream was sooo delicious!!! :)

My first time at Creamistry with my friend Samantha! We were craving something sweet and refreshing. 5 stars for the man at the register for greeting us and explaining how it works! They have vegan options which was very convenient. Nice management as well! Thanks so much! I will definitely be back :)

Great concept and love the fact that they offer dairy free and gluten free options! They had run out of the toasted black sesame which I was craving but I had the pistachio with coconut milk base and it was delicious. The pistachio flavour is made of real pistachio butter not the flavouring chemical drops that some ice cream shops use! It was rather heavy though, so definitely come with an appetite!

Interesting concept this ice cream place. They make right there. Fresh. Different bases to choose from organic or not. Coconut vase etc. different topping and fillings. It’s very creamy. You can really taste fresh milk. I had salty caramel with cookie dough. It was fantastic. I thought it was pricey. I had a small one and it was $ 5.50. other than that it was great. Staff were very friendly.

I visited this place because it was the nearest ice cream place to where I was having lunch. It is a clean and cute lil spot. Ambience-4 The place is clean and the concept is cute. You get to watch them hand make your ice cream using a liquid nitrogen machine. It’s fun for kids because you get to feel the cold nitrogen on your face. Food-3 Though the process is fun the quality is just mediocre. I will say I had the coconut based chocolate combustion. So I am only speaking for that. I will have to go go back for the regular ice cream. Price-3.5 The portion sizes are decent so I believe the pricing is pretty fair. However, they could be intimidating at first glance. I would definitely give them a second try if I was in the area. However, I would not break my neck to get to it.

I have been wanting to try Creamistry for quite some time. I finally went to the one here in the Beverly Hills area. The idea of the place is great and unique. They have the liquid nitrogen running through their ice cream mixer and because of that, it is made to order. You can customize your ice cream starting from what milk you want to the flavor and toppings. We got the black sesame with mochi and the cake batter with marshmallow cream and nutella sauce. Both were delicious. We chose the premium milk for both. The problem with Creamistry to me is the price point. Our 2 small scoops with a total of 3 toppings between both scoops came to $ 14.00. I have no problem paying a little extra for quality but I find the price to be a little outrageous. Would I come back? Maybe, if one of my friends wanted to go but I probably wouldn’t be the one to suggest it. There are many other reallly good ice cream places in LA with quality ingredients and much more reasonable prices.

I don’t usually take well to gimmicky ice-cream spots, but my wife was itching for something sweet, so we stopped in to the newest addition to Beverly drive. The place was empty, but no surprise given it was the late afternoon on an overcast winter day. The ice-cream gal was very friendly and helpful in explaining how it all works there. Unlike most places that have already made ice-cream, this spot makes it on the spot using special nitrous machines. First you choose your base; choices are regular cream, organic strauss, greek yogurt, and coconut. My wife chose the organic strauss. Then you pick a flavor(which they have many to choose from). She opted for some cookie flavor. It was cool to see the machine in action(albeit kitschy), and after a minutes of dry ice smoke filling half the room she presented us with the creation. I must say it was delicious! Very unique, and obviously as fresh as you can get… Minus one star for the price — $ 7 and change for a medium!

Great concept where they use Nitrogen to freeze your vegan ice cream. The concept is three steps. The first one you choose your base. You can use premium milk, almond milk, coconut milk or low-fat milk. Second you choose your flavor. Which is pretty much and less as they can mix-and-match to your taste. Thirdly you pick your toppings, which include your typical sprinkles, Mochi, white chocolate chips, gummy bears, marshmallows, etc. Then comes the fun part. You watch as your concoction is mixed and Nitrogen fills the bowl and flows over onto the counter. Reminiscent of the chemistry lab days. And there you have it, your own creative dessert made with Nitrogen. There is street metered parking in addition to a 2 hour free parking garage directly across the street on Beverly.

I had better ice cream. The selling point of this place is they make the ice cream right in front of you. You choose the kind of milk, flavor and toppings then the infuse nitrogen to turn it to ice cream right in front of you. Almost like being in some science lab complete with smoke. The taste… hhmmm… I had better.

While I love the idea of Creamistry, this is not the best chain to execute made to order Nitrogen ice cream. The prices are super high and the portions small, not a fan of paying extra for a topping, they could include at least one. Service also a bit snooty and it took about 15 minutes to get my order though there was no line. I went with the famed blue velvet and it did not have much flavor at all really. 3 stars for generally loving ice cream, the idea and shop itself, no extra stars for the ice cream actually being great.

Happy to have a new ice cream spot in the neighborhood. Great concept with a ton of options. Good but not the best in town. The texture is a little thick and not creamy enough. The flavor is nice, some flavors are a little too sweet. The décor is fun and the staff is friendly. I will be back.

Yum! South Beverly Drive was under serious ice cream deprivation until recently! And I do not think fro yo counts as ice cream so I was delighted to see Creamistry pop up. They use liquid nitrogen to make your ice cream right before your eyes so it’s very fresh. At first choosing is a little overwhelming. You pick a base, a mix in and toppings. They have sorbet as a base if you want to avoid dairy. I chose an organic Straus base(love that they have an organic option!) and had cookie batter and added their handmade brownies. It was so good! It was creamy and not too sweet, and the brownies were the ideal chewy consistency! I will definitely go back.

Beautiful new addition to Beverly Drive. Liquid Nitrogen ice cream. Custom made To your specific taste. Fat free or coconut milk or Creamistry premium. Choose your flavors. Toppings and Gelato available. Located between Olympic and Charleville. Close to the other yogurt shops on the boulevard. I had a strawberry infused with coconut ice cream. Topped with peanut butter cups. Delicious !

This is a fun place to get ice cream made with liquid nitrogen! You start by picking a base, then select the flavor for your ice cream and then add in any toppings for $ 1. The menu is a little overwhelming since there are a lot of choices, but they also have some recommended/most popular combos. My husband and I kept it simple. I got the premium base with Cinnamon Toast Crunch and he got premium base with Nutella. The ice cream has a unique thick and creamy consistency from the liquid nitrogen and doesn’t melt as fast. The only thing is the price. It is $ 5.50 for a single scoop which only includes the ice cream base and flavor. It’s just seems like a lot for one scoop of ice cream, so I probably wouldn’t come back very often.

This is a great ice cream joint that makes ice cream using liquid nitrogen. By using liquid nitrogen the ice cream has a more airy melt in your mouth texture. There is a wide variety of flavors including dairy free and a lower fat organic option. The staff is friendly, lively and fun and will greet you with a loud«welcome to chemistry!» I would definitely come here again!
