Canali Retail

Have been to this store many times with my husband.
Bob is truly the best sales person there is at Canali. He always offers me water, helps my husband find the perfect suit for his body and lets us always know when the sales are coming up so we can save some extra money.
Canali is a very high quality and reputable brand. At stores like this it is hard to find a salesperson who isn’t commission hungry and just wants to help you find a great item. I would highly recommend working with Bob.
The only bad thing about this store is that they don’t have their own parking and that the mens socks are horrible :(

Canali makes great suits. Theres only a few suitmakers who make a better off the rack suit (the best are considered to be Isaia, Kiton, and Brioni in no particular order). I love their styles, and after looking at suits at Saks, Neiman Marcus, and Barneys, I found Canalis I tried on to be my favorite. I didn’t even realize they had a retail until I passed it on my way back to the car.
Suits here run about 2k, which isn’t cheap, but it’s not bad either, considering the quality. It’s a really good deal though if you manage to catch a sale (I did).
Service was great-​the salesmen were very helpful in finding a shirt and tie to go with the suit, and I could tell the tailor there knew what he was doing.
I don’t know what their ties were like in 2007, but when I went there (about 2 wks ago), they were very nice.
In summary, if your looking for a great suit, but can’t afford a Kiton or Brioni, this is a great option.

The designer does a good job of controlling quality assurance by manufacturing all of the clothes in the line in Italy. Nothing is ever manufactured in another location. The fabrics that go into the clothes are top notch and I have never seen an end product with a material flaw in it.
With this type of underpinning for a fashion business, one would hope that the designers would have more vision. For example, the ties from the current line are well, boring. I could get the same tie at Sears for a lot less money. Don’t worry I won’t, but I could. The current designs remind me of some short-​sleeved car salesman sporting a gawd awful tie. The rest of their current line is uninspired except for the white ribbed wool sweater which is über comfy. the quality is high and the ability to exude modest flair in your fashion will be lost completely unless you mix designers when choosing an article of clothing from this line. That’s all.
