Ordered the bento box with miso soup and salad. The salmon sushi was pretty good and tasty. Also included was a choice of salmon or chicken teriyaki. I ordered the chicken which was just ok. The salmon may be better. It comes with Shu Mai or egg roll. I really like the place and the service was excellent

I was in town for a couple of weeks and very happy to find this place. The sushi is much better than I expected to find here and the prices are good.

Ive always loved this place. Great food and the sushi is awesome. My only issue is due to increased popularity it seems expanding may be necessary to accommodate all the customers.

Large rolls, wrapped well. Sushi was good, atmosphere was nice, no music though so you could hear everyone’s conversation. Asking if you want plates was weird and they were pretty short-​handed. Had to ask for refills on the tea because they dont leave a pot on the table.

I’m from the Pacific Northwest and moved here about 6 months ago, so my sushi standards are pretty high. It was just decent for the price, we didn’t expect much since we could be considered «snobs» and we are in Iowa. Once you’ve had really good and fresh sushi then eat here, it’s not as good as the reviews we read said it was. Staff was friendly, though!

Great sushi and great service! There are so many options to choose from. I have always enjoyed my time here. They also have a large cocktail menu with a variety of fun and delicious drinks.

Terrible experience. We came on a Friday so I understand they were busy, but the service was beyond terrible. It took them 30 minutes to acknowledge our presence. Another 30 to take our drink order and the waitress’ attitude was terrible. The food was nothing special. Would never recommend to anyone.

HORRIBLE service. We ordered a to go order and asked for no vegetables. Got home and there are vegetables in the containers. Called back and said we asked for no vegetables and they were trying to tell me something about rice and vegetables and I couldn’t understand them. They were very rude and did not help us with the situation. Very rude and will never be going back.

The food is pretty decent. But I’ve been several times and the wait staff has never been friendly – but they aren’t rude, so it doesn’t bother me much. My gripe with the place is that when I dined there today they did not accept my coupon, which I downloaded FROM THEIR OWN WEBSITE! They said it expired in May 2014. And here it is August 2015! (I was using my phone and didn’t see the very small expiration date.) I think that’s pretty low. They should either take down the coupon from their website or honor the coupon until they take it down.

Really great sushi every time. I find myself coming back to the Bettendorf Roll and the Dragon Roll time and time again. Also, the Victoria Roll sounds strange. but is so refreshing and delicious. The only thing I’d change is the waitresses, they never seem very happy to be there.

Server was a little slow and forgetful but very nice. Sushi chefs were not very friendly or open for discussion on freshness of fish. (Most likely because no one ever asks) They also forgot an order and we had to reorder it. BUT the sushi was AMAZING. To be honest, I had low expectations given the Iowa location, but their fish was fresh and tasty. The hamachi and sake nigiri were very fresh, smooth, and sooo good. They didn’t know what nigiri was, they called it «sushi». Amazing fountain moutian dew

Red Ginger is my favorite sushi spot in the QC. Their roll lunch prices are hard to beat. I love the bright, open atmosphere and the polite servers. Their drinks are always perfectly strong and the sushi is incredibly fresh. I try to visit whenever I’m in town!

Shumai appetizer: Shrimp and vegetables steamed dumpling. $ 4.25
I enjoyed the dumplings very much. The shrimp flavor was stronger than I expected. This is a good thing. Very tasty!
Spicy Maki Combo: spicy tuna, spicy yellowtail, and spicy salmon. $ 15.25
This entrée from the sushi bar was very good. Served with slices of ginger and of course a dollop of wasabi, these 18 rolls hit the spot. The yellowtail were exceptional! I was not a big fan of the salmon but it was still decent.
I would suggest this place for lunch or dinner. They have a full bar in there if you want to drink some adult beverages.
I would love to visit again!

Really a great place! I got a bento box lunch with tempura shrimp, spicy crab roll and shumai. The spicy crab roll and shumai along with the rice that comes with were fantastic! Not too fond of the tempura shrimp as it lacked in flavor.
Our waitress was around but didn’t seem like she wanted to be there that day. One time I assumed she was speaking to us because there was no one else around.

WHOOOOOO-​EEEE! This place is really fighting for my sushi heart.
I’ve always said it was the 2^nd best sushi in the QC but lately it seems to have only gotten better. I mean, it is still sushi in the midwest. don’t get me wrong. But I’m starting to think it might be my new favorite!

Stopped in one night by myself for a quick bite. Friendly staff, clean modern décor, and fantastic menu. I ordered a spicy sampler platter & calamari and was pleased to find out that it also came with a salad & miso soup. EVERYTHING was amazing! I can’t wait to stop back in there!

Nice atmosphere, cheerful staff, experienced sushi rollers. Wait staff was helpful in explaining certain items and was sure to point out best seller’s. The spring rolls were a little mushy but the Sexy Girl Roll was excellent with a nice presentation making it appealing to the eye.

What can I say about sushi… Well I wasn’t a fan of sushi from the start and the only rolls I had was from buffets which they were not bad at all. I always past by this restaurant and never gave it a chance just the fact I wouldn’t know what to order and wouldn’t want to disappoint myself ordering the wrong thing. Well life is a risk so I came in and ordered sexy girl roll just because it had steak and shrimp. I fell in love with the taste and satisfaction of those rolls so I give this sushi 2 thumbs up and a happy taste buds.

Got the chicken teriyaki bento box that came with gyoza, dumpling, salad, miso soup, rice, and choice of sushi all for under $ 10…So happy that I discovered bento boxes such a great deal and very filling.
The chicken teriyaki was very good, large portions and they added some mushrooms too which was a nice touch that isn’t always included. Dumplings were very good, can’t go wrong getting those. The sushi was the worst part, had a fishy and warm taste, not sure why that was but it wasn’t good to eat.
I would go back again when in town, the service was prompt, the atmosphere is nice, and food comes out fast. They seem to have a good thing going here.

Came here for lunch with my Dad when I was in town. I kept hearing from everyone that this place by far has the best sushi in town, so I had to try it out!
The atmosphere is very nice. They have plenty of tables, or you can sit in the more traditional tables where you can sit on mats in a circle. I ordered the Maki combo (comes with 3 rolls, soup, and a salad). You get a lot for your money for sure. The Maki was fresh and put together well. They have plenty of different entrees and rolls to choose from. The service was a little slow (there were not many people there at lunch time). She was very nice, but we had to remind her about a drink we ordered and refills.
Overall, I would definitely come back!
