The reviews previous were spot on! This is a diamond in the rough! Hands down one of the best steaks I’ve ever had! The staff are very nice and accommodating. Apparently it has new owners and its service and food have only gotten better. I never visited or heard of this place before, but we will definitely be back. The old saying, «Don’t judge a book by its cover.» Is completely true in this case. I was intending on sharing my 14oz ribeye and loaded baked potato with my husband… but, I selfishly consumed most of it. Thank goodness he had the hot wings we ordered. Which were just as equally good as the steak. We ordered them in their signature Daytona sauce, which is half buffalo, half bbq… amazing taste and flavor! They make their own dressings and sauces. Hands down would recommend this place to anyone!

So I stopped into this Bar and Grill to grab something to eat and drink. I walked in and the place doesn’t look like much but the people were very friendly which made it much more comfortable to be in. I ordered a burger which was called the black and blue burger it had blue cheese on it which I’m a big fan of blue cheese. I have to say that burger was outstanding. I walked out of there full and satisfied. I would definitely recommend this place to my friends. This place is like a diamond in the rough.

My father used to take me to The old PaddleWheel when I was young… for breakfast. It was great then. I absolutely am thrilled the new owners are doing a GREAT job and our party of 6 were extremely pleased and very happy with the service, the food, and the atmosphere. Love, LOVED it!!!

One word… awesome! All 5 of my dining partners raved about their meals. I had the tbone which was done perfectly and quite the bargain. Odd as it may seem, I was more impressed with my salad and baked potato; the former crisp and flavorful, the later steaming hot and slightly seasoned. Hit the tail end of happy hour and even after numerous cocktails(attentive wait staff), final bill was wasn’t out of line. Some the best bar food in town with great steaks to boot! Side note… can get a little chilly inside during winter.

I’ve been to the Paddlewheel a few times and always had great service from the staff althought I’ve never stopped in for more than a couple of drinks. Tonight I tried their steak. I’d heard rumors that is was very good but had never taken the plunge until now. The rumors are true! I had the 14 oz rib-eye with a side of texas toast and a generous portion of cottage cheese. I’m not sure if its where they get their meat or what they are doing to prep it but it was amazing. The texture blew me away and the seasoning and temp were perfect(med-rare) If you hear the rumors about the steaks here don’t dismiss them because they are absolutely legit. I’ve had steaks throughout the country and this one definitely is top 3. Easily the best I’ve had in the Quad Cities. Factor in the price at $ 16 bucks and you can’t go wrong.

Out of towners, dropped in for lunch during an Iowa Nebraska game. Immediately greeted by the friendly Bartender. Delicious burgers. Great drink specials. We drove by another really crowded bar that looked like the place in town where everyone who was anyone went. The Paddle Wheel was full of everyone else. Which is why we fit right in. Attached to the Twin Bridges Motor Inn, which could be a plus or minus depending on your perspective on things.

I think the re-painting, layout changes and clean up have really given the place a nice feel. They have really good bar food(burgers, chicken sandwiches and the ‘Bud’man tenderloin) but the steaks are the real steal. For approx $ 15-$ 17 you get a big steak(Ribeye is the favorite) salad, baked potato and garlic bread.(The grill is well seasoned) Bartenders are friendly and give overall good service. Drink prices are a little high except when running their specials but still inline with Bettendorf. They do have TV’s in every corner so finding something you want to watch is pretty easy. Overall I think it’s a great starting point for your evening out if you like smaller style bars with decent food, ‘Cheers’ type feel and good bartenders!

Still stinks. I must just not like the vibe in there.
