So we were lucky enough to have been invited to a friend’s baby’s christening celebration today at Ciminellis. The appetizer of garlic Italian bread with fresh tomatoes and covered in melted mozz was incredible. Next up was a delicious house salad and penne with a delicious marinara. I ordered the shrimp parm and my wife had the eggplant parm which we split and man oh man both dishes were fabulous. We finished up with some great coffee and a great cake care of FRANCESCO’S bakery which I have reviewed before. The service was OUTSTANDING. The staff was on point and we were never without anything for even a second. I cannot tell you just how much I love this little neighborhood gem. Please come and check them out and tell them I sent you.

I come here often when I want a quick slice of pizza and I’m always satisfied. The pizza is fresh and delicious. I also love to have dinner in the dining room, which is clean and always nicely decorated for each holiday. The pasta dishes are very generous portions! My favorite is their bolognese sauce. On Monday nights they have a pasta night special which includes a salad, your choice of pasta with any sauce, dessert, and coffee or tea for $ 11.95. You can’t beat the price!

This review is strictly on the restaurant. The dining room has a nice relaxing atmosphere. The staff is friendly and attentive. Have always enjoyed the food. Favorite appetizer is the fried ravioli and love the tortellini ala vodka. My mom orders something new every time and has never had a complaint. It’s one of my go-to places for good Italian food.

Stopped by for a slice picked a margarita slice looked very good. well this was an the worst cheese laden crappy crust I have ever been served. I don’t get it such a basic pizza which is simple not a 7 ounce(had to weigh it when I got home) artery clogging disgrace. You cant find a true thin crusted margarita here. I am going to bury this slice so it can do no damage to man kind.

Raw chicken rollatini served here tonight. Unbelievable! The owner Bill came over and said«I wish I saw it» and I thought he was going to question us. If he did, I would’ve lost it. Don’t come here.

Read this entire review. Icalled ciminellis to tell them the wrong pie was delivered. They assured me they would take care of the problem after they talk to the driver. They called me back to say my pie was dropped off to the wrong house as well and said the driver was coming back to swap the pies. Really! Gross! How unsanitary can you get ???

This placed used to be good. Has gone steeply downhill in the past few months. Pizza isn’t the same and is overpriced. The new workers are rude and have no people skills.

Just got delivery from this place. We’ve had pizza here which was awesome – not sure if we’d do delivery again though. My fettucini primavera leaked EVERYWHERE in the bag because too much was piled on top of it. Also, the delivery guy somehow didn’t know that I paid by credit card and tried explaining to me why I didn’t pay by cc. I showed him the receipt that said VISAON It! He just said«oh, you’re right.» We’ll order food and pick it up – just no more delivery!

This place not only serves consistently good food, but the waitstaff is low key and efficient. They are attentive; refilling water glasses repeatedly, offering more bread, etc. They seem to really appreciate the customer. Also they seem to be the only Italian restaurant I’ve been to on LI that gives a salad and a pasta with an entrée. Not too crowded either, and I wonder why since many inferior restaurants seem to have lines out the door! Enjoy!

Their pizza is good. Slices selection can be limited, so don’t expect anything special. Same with their beers. Limited seating inside, but they have outdoor seating when the weather is nice. Waitress service is friendly and attentive. Solid 4 stars.

Went here this past Sunday tonight to get some takeout for me and my family. We ordered a plain pie, penne marinara with meatballs, a Caesar salad, and an eggplant roll. When we went to open the penne I found a metal fixture(see picture) sitting on top of the pasta. I immediately called the restaurant and asked to speak to the manager. I was put on hold for 5 minutes and when the manager finally picked up the phone I explained what had happened. His response to me was«Ok, what’s your address? We will bring you a new one.» there was no apology or any bit of surprise in his voice. I told the man that we did not want a replacement, we would just like our money back. He told me that he would not give us a refund. I obviously got upset by this and told him how unsanitary this was and asked him to explain why we could not get a refund. His response was«I don’t understand why you are getting so crazy, we will bring you a new one.» I told him not to bother and hung up the phone. So after that unsatisfying phone call, I drove to the restaurant to see if I could talk to the manager In person. I asked a man at the counter to speak to the manager and he told that the manager does not come in on Sundays. So either I spoke to someone pretending to be the manager, or he didn’t feel like dealing with me. Whatever the case may be, I will never ever go back to this restaurant. Poor service and even worse food. What a disappointment.

Carefully manage the steep incline into the parking lot and enjoy a two — for one pizzeria, with the standard take out in the front and a cozy, newly renovated sit down restaurant in the back. As a Staten Island transplant, Ciminelli’s Pizza is the closest in quality to the city’s thin slice I’ve found in range of my home in Bethpage. I’ve found most Nassau pizza joints tend to go with thicker crusts, but the one served here suits me just fine. They also make a nice, crunchy shrimp parm hero that is out of this world. Wash it down with a Yueng Ling, which they have on tap! I’ve found most of the specialty slices aren’t out of this world, although they do make a nice fresh mozzarella and basil slice. But you really want to eat here for the regular slices. The restaurant in the back is serviceable enough, the staff is friendly, but don’t expect any ground breaking cuisine: just nice, affordable and standard Italian fare that will leave you plenty full and content by meal’s end.

Good place, it’s on our lunch rotation. The pasta specials are tasty and inexpensive. For $ 6.95 you choose a pasta type(spaghetti, rigatoni, penne, fusilli, angel hair, linguine) and a sauce(marinara, spicy marinara, meat sauce, bolognese, a la vodka.) The portions are relatively large and come with bread. Their non-special menu is good too, but expect to pay a bit more. Finally their pizza is pretty good as well. The biggest downside of this place is the parking lot. Gets crowded quickly and there is a big bump to get into it, so watch your bumper. One warning, towards the end of the year there are a lot of luncheons that go on here. If you come and the back is full of a big party, service may suffer. If you’re in a hurry then just get pizza up at the front.
