I’d give it a zero if I could. Im arab and used to really good food but i think it’s good to be biased in this way. I tried their chicken shawarma and their deep fried cauliflower(fried annabit). The shawarma was inedible. I asked nonarab guy who had gotten it before me about what he thought. He loved it. So i was expecting this amazing flavor and a spectacular sandwich. I couldnt take two bites out of the sandwich. The meat was very soggy and the spices that were on the meat were the storebought(shawarma spices) that you can grab at Elias market. Those spices make me sick and the amount of garlic in them is DISGUSTING. I felt like i was eating a clove of garlic. The bread that the sandwich was was good so thats a plus… Now to the deep fried cauliflower. The breading around it tasted good, if only the cauliflowers were actually cooked through. It was gross and they put tahini to the side. It was this THICKCHUNKYPASTE. It wasnt meant for dipping. Not even for spreading on a sandwich. Overall it was a terrible experience and NO I DONOTRECOMMENDTHISTOANYONE! Im all for supporting local businesses but… Not ones that will make u sick.

Your taste buds will do the happy dance! It’s an awesome alternative to the valley’s usual spots. Must try!

I’m a Taza Truck fan for life! Not only is their food absolutely amazing(especially the chicken shawarma) but the owners Tim and Hala are also wonderful people and participate at many area community events. Definitely check them out when you have a chance!

The Taza Truck is incredible! The food is absolutely delicious, it’s freshly made to order and consistent each and every time. The owners, Tim and Hala are so friendly every time we go to the truck and seem to truly take pride in their business and give back to the community to boot! Keep doing what you are doing! Taza Truck rocks!

I was really excited when I saw this truck driving around the valley and then looked it up online and found out it is near my husbands work on Wednesdays. So I picked him up yesterday and went to try out the truck for lunch. We both love falafel and I make the traditional kind at home but thought it would be a treat to have it without having to do the work of making it and try the Egyptian style. The falafel was bland tasting, and the tahini sauce was too watery and not enough to be enjoyed. The tiny bit of veggies in the wrap was kind of sad. The wrap dough was good, the portion size was good, service friendly and speedy with reasonable prices. Overall kind of disappointing.

My first experience with the Taza truck was at the Saucon Farmers’ market. I was excited to see Egyptian food available and I ordered the koshari which was very tasty and authentic. My second experience was not so positive. I ordered the chicken shawarma which was tasty-too tasty with too many spices. Maybe that’s the way most people like it, but I am not really into all those strong spices that overpower everything. My third experience was not good at all. I ordered the falafel that was a major disappointment. First, they loaded it with a lot of raw, bitter and strong onion that overpowered the falafel taste. It reminds me of a local Italian restaurant that serves toasted garlic bread-with the garlic there’s about 9 – 10RAW garlic cloves on each piece. That is just too much garlic. Just a word to the restaurant owners: not EVERYONE loves raw garlic and raw onion. Maybe Eleanor Roosevelt ate raw garlic cloves everyday, but that is not for me and many other people. It’s as if the owners of the Taza truck said to each other: «let’s put so much onion in the sandwich that it overpowers our really crappy falafel» About the falafel, after attempting to remove all the onion and get to just the falafel(which was difficult with the tahini gluing everything together), that too was a major disappointment. I know everyone makes falafel differently, but this was very different and not to my liking or even a standard in the falafel world IMHO. It was green inside-probably parsley or something. The taste of that really detracted from what I would consider a standard falafel taste. I have had better falafel made from a box mix that you can buy at a local store. Overall, very disappointing. I have been to the Saucon Farmers’ market every weekend and have bypassed the Taza Truck every trip since my last bad experience.

Came across Taza Truck at the Hellertown farmer’s markets(Sundays at Water St Park). I loved the fried cauliflower, but the feta dip I found too salty. I look forward to trying more stuff they serve.

Exactly what is needed here on the glorious South Side. Simple, elegant menu combined with efficient service and attractive pricing. Now to the good stuff: Chicken shawarma — flavorful and authentic; I recommend garlic but try both! Tahini adds a spicy dimension, and you can taste the pride mixed into each fresh batch. Eggplant salad — filling, a generous amount of food for the cost. The house vinegar is out of this world and pairs exceptionally with the fresh pita. Spicy arnabeet(fried cauliflower) — literally one of the best things I have ever had, an outstanding vegetarian option. Garlic + fresh fried spices = sploosh. Go to the Taza Truck. The line can get a little hectic at peak lunch rush… but the wait is worth it.

A wonderful change of the lunchtime flavor, the Taza Truck brings Egyptian cuisine to the Lehigh Valley. I’ve been fortunate enough to have visited the Truck twice, and both times have been outstanding. The Egyptian meatball(turkey) is delicious, and their Gibna Beyda with their homemade pita chips is awesome! But, the top mention with two thumbs up is for their spicy arnabit(cauliflower). Even my boyfriend likes it, and he and cauliflower have never gotten along. If you’re looking for a shift from the«same old, same old», and the Taza Truck is nearby, grab your coworkers and GO! You’ll find something new to love!

Chicken Shawarma was divine. Owners are clean. The truck is kept immaculate by them. Food quality was superb. ABE is lucky to have such a fine food truck. The food is Egyptian style and what I had was curry spiced. Well made and fresh. Check them it for a taste of Egypt.

Saw this truck parked near work in Center Valley last week when returning from a lunch out. I knew I had to try it out. Today I got the Chx Shawarma and Arnabit. Both were great. The chicken was tender and flavorful, and the Arnabit was light like cauliflower calimari.

Drove by the the Taza Truck last Thursday. Wait… what was that? An authentic food truck in Trexlertown? I quickly turned around. Sure enough a bona fide food truck! Since I could not try everything on my first visit… I had the Chicken Shawarma and Hummus. Both were delicious. Plenty of garlic in the hummus and the pita chips were outstanding. Thin and crispy and not greasy. I will get the chicken again and will see if they can add even more spicy peppers. A great addition to the Lehigh Valley food scene. Will be returning tomorrow for lunch.
