I have never met a more talented tailor! I bring all of my denim to Susie’s. She uses the original hem and the results are positively gorgeous. Likewise, I have had a variety of major and minor alterations done here … there is nothing that Susie cannot do! I once brought her a silk skirt that was given to me as a gift … and was two sizes too big. She said that it would be a «project» and warned me that it may not be perfect with such a HUGE alteration … when I picked it up, I was stunned to see how absolutely immaculate it was. Just staggeringly, amazingly perfect. Likewise, the organic dry-cleaning was a giant plus for me. I appreciate not having to instantly remove my garments and let them air-out(as is indicated by doctors). They just remain in their dust-proof bags until I need them. Fabulous! And, if you are even wondering if organic cleaning is as effective as non-organic … the answer is yes! I had a total PANIC moment when I spilled olive-oil on a new, silk shirt. Susie got out the stain entirely! You could say that I was impressed! Without a doubt, there is no better tailor/cleaner in the area. Much love to Susie!

so happy with my experience here! i made a beautiful green taffeta dress for my brithday party(20+ hours of work). well taffeta stains really really badly — water, soda, you name it. so of course, a drink got spilled all over the front of my dress. i was convinced that it was ruined, making it a very time-consuming disposable party dress. i looked around online for advice on how to deal with stains on taffeta. nothing seemed very promising. i even called a few dry cleaners to ask their advice. they said since the stain had been sitting for nearly a week, there was not much that could be done. when i had nearly come to terms with the demise of my dress, my roommate recommended that i try susie’s. figured i had nothing to lose. when i dropped it off, i expected some hesitation or doubt from the woman behind the desk — but instead i was surprised by her confidence that should could handle it. i warned her that it was taffeta(no water, can’t be processed with cotton garments, etc). she seemed very confident. i dropped it off on friday and it was done wednesday. when i went to pick it up, i was still skeptical. i asked to see it before i paid and THESTAINSWEREGONE! even the slight water spots from ironing it during sewing! it was $ 13.95 for the dress(not sure how this compares, as i don’t usually have things dry-cleaned), but to me it was well worth it! my only complaint is that they only take cash and debit, no credit cards. also, sometimes there’s a cute little white dog that hangs out in the store — super cute!

Susie is very nice yet professional. She remembers how my husband likes his shirts and he is very picky. She also does nice alterations. I tried many dry cleaners in the area and I have had only one problem at Susies(with an old table cloth). I am not sure that was her fault or it was just old. The other local drycleaners have ruined clothes, lost items or have not done a good job with my husbands shirts.
