Penn Pizza for s my go-to for pizza! The crust is thin with a perfect body. The sauce is flavorful without being salty or over powering the mozzarella. I like mine plain, but my family members have a love for toppings. The salami, sausage and pepperoni have been«perfect» according to my son. I’ve found other foods from the menu are also good, but for me the pizza is the draw.

Absolute worst delivery experience I’ve ever had… Cold pizza, cold mozzarella sticks, said it was just a busy time… They refused to refund my money, said i could only get store credit… I would never recommended this place after this experience … Absolute joke they don’t even deserve one star

I ordered a large order of chicken strips w fries(9.99) and a slice of cheesecake 2.95). One of the best chicken strips around that isn’t made from scratch. I received 8 very good sized chicken strips. Cheesecake was very good also. I think the prices are average, and the delivery guy was friendly, even at the close of his shift.(I ordered food close to closing time) I’m gladly sticking with Penn Pizza for quite a while.

The staff was friendly, fast, and efficient. The crust is medium-thin. The pizza is not over sauced and the quantity of cheese was spot on. The dough is slightly sweet in a good way. Toppings were fresh and generous but not overpowering. A very good establishment. I will be a return customer.

My wife in search of the dining of her youth growing up in Bethlehem we had eat-in pizza at Penn Pizza. Friendly casual service with a staff that seemed to be enjoying preparing our pizzas. Good selection of beers. Her standard cheese pizza(crust cooked!) and my combo were both excellent. Late on Tuesday evening before Christmas it was not packed but given the quality it should have been. In my five weeks in the area and five different pizzas Penn Pizza certaining is tied for first place in quality, casual ambiance and a fun experience. I recommend it highly!

Good value. As the ‘check-in’ stats show, I’ve been here at least four times, so far. So, this is near the top of a decent-sized list of places I visit when having lunch in downtown Bethlehem. I’m typically not wining-and-dining anyone but myself, so value is a priority. Penn Pizza offers a decent cheesesteak or chicken parm sandwich, quickly, with an ample side of tasty fries, and a can of soda for well under $ 10. I like it! They’ll customize to your liking if you ask. The guys at the counter are customer-focused, but not necessarily effusive in their friendliness. That works, man. Ironically, I have yet to try the pizza. I have become a huge fan of their pizza from the location on the west side of Allentown near Trexlertown. For the pizza here, I don’t see a large counter of ready-to-slice pies to choose from. So, I’m guessing people either order whole pies, or they’ll make a pie to order from which a slice can be purchased. I’m not sure. I just haven’t made it past the sandwich selection, yet.

Ordered a lot here while in undergrad at lehigh, was super thrilled by service and quality every time. I have only ordered through GrubHub and recommend their ease of app/website. This place helped me out on long nights of studying!!!

Updating this review to comment on three sandwiches purchased in the last few months. Two hoagies were just delicious. For under $ 8, they come with fries cooked fresh to order. They’re frozen fries, but cooked perfectly each time. They pack the sandwiches in styrofoam which pops open like a jack in the box when you push the little button. When the lid flies open, you are presented with a beautiful sandwich, laid gently in the carton and surrounded by those delicious fries. Hoagies have dark, green lettuce and very fresh veggies. The chicken Parmesan sandwich was loaded with chicken, sauce and cheese. The great roll is crispy and stands up to the sauce. Back to pizza … We continue to love their pizza. Saucier then most, the crust still manages to be the crispiest crust you get in these parts. Delivery is usually way faster then the app suggests and drivers have been efficient and friendly. Plus, their sandwiches and pizza hold up well during delivery.

I guess being the contrarian that I am; I’ve got to go against the four and five star reviews being thrown up for Penn because to me that’s gross hyperbole. The Pizza as others have mentioned is fairly unique in the LV with the crust being very thin and crunchy and I suppose it’s either a love it or hate it proposition. I know a lot people who either love it or are good with it but to me I hated it as a kid many years ago and I still do now. The style more or less hasn’t changed in forever and to me there’s simply too much sauce, not enough cheese and a crust that can border on inedible crunchy burn unless you want to test the structural integrity of your teeth. With that rant out of the way I’ve given Penn four shots over the last few months and for certain, and I stress certain, things they’re all right. Let’s begin: * Twice I ordered via GrubHub and twice through their website.(Sorry, but Luddite guy here doesn’t believe in silly crap like phone apps) The first order via GH back in November took over an hour and the second GH order two weeks ago clocked in at fifty plus minutes. The times via their website were closer to half of that. Lesson learned — don’t order from Penn via GH unless you like to really wait a loooong time. * Penn charges more for their food via GH then they do via their own website so make sure you don’t overpay by ordering the«wrong way» and also they have to be the only pizza shop in the area without a straight two large for X dollars deal on their website/menu. I’m looking right now and you can order two larges for regular price($ 21.98) or you can order two larges along with wings or with breadsticks or with a soda or with a side but online there is no such thing as just two large for X dollars that equates to a discount like you would get at Rosanna’s or Nicks or The Parlour or Marlo’s or Broad Street or anywhere else. #Dumb I’m sure there are some obscure coupons out there but why make it so hard when everyone else makes it so easy? * On the good side the burgers are huge and the quality is decent the same as the fries they use, the broccoli cheddar soup is also good but is wildly overpriced at $ 4.35 for a cup and the strombolis are all excellent. I suppose it’s just me but the pizza was bad twenty five years ago and it’s still bad today. I realize that’s a personal opinion and if others are down on that style then god bless but to me I would take some slices from Rosanna’s or Nick’s over this place any day. In the future I’ll stick to the stromboli or calzone but for pizza I’ll continue to go elsewhere. (On a brief sidebar, while there are other places in the area named Penn Pizza they have no affiliation to this one. #Duh)

This is firstly, the one and only true Penn Pizza. Don’t be fooled by other restaurants with the same name. This New St. Location is independent and family owned. I have lived in the Lehigh Valley for most of my life, have tried so many different pizzas and this is hands down the best pizza here. The crust is the only true quality pizza crust in the Lehigh Valley. It’s crispy on the outside, soft on the inside and has good flavor. The sauces are all delicious whether you are getting a traditional red sauce pizza or a buffalo chicken pizza, you will not be disappointed. In fact, I have never been dissapointed with any food item that I have ordered here. If you eat in, don’t be fooled by the hole in the wall location. These folks truly care about putting out a quality product. Highly recommend!

I go here fairly often since I work nearby and I would recommended it to anyone who is looking for a quick bite to eat. Their pizza is thin and their homemade sauce makes it taste great. They also have awesome speciality pizzas(Chicken Parm & Buffalo Chicken). I HIGHLY recommend ordering your food ahead of time. They take their time preparing food… They have a smartphone app and a website where you can do that at as well.

I just came back to update that I had a burger from them tonight, and I ordered some ranch dipping sauce for my fries… BEST ranch in town! Its the good kind, really creamy. I wonder if they make it? I dunno. But its like Black Bear or Denny’s ranch. Yuuuummyyyyyy. The burger was great too. I don’t remember if I ordered a double burger(cuz I just clicked selections on the GrubHub app). But it was a double burger. That was fun to eat in the best sense, lol. VERY juicy and I did need napkins, and a wash up: D That ranch was so good, I almost drank it. lol.

Nice rich pizza sauce making it a pie to try. I haven’t tried anything else on the menu but worth a visit when in the area. Small sit down inside and appears they do alot of deliveries vs. Walk ins.

For a small pizza place, this place was pretty good. The menu is quite small for a pizza place, with only a few selections of specialty pizzas, along with numerous subs/sandwiches and a few pasta entrees. Décor, is very boring, with typical seats, walls filled with memories, and an old TV playing football. Service, slow, but friendly. Very cheap, which is good for a quick meal. The pizza looked amazing! I had ordered a chicken parm sandwich, which was pretty big for $ 6.95. The french fries were a nice additive. The philly cheese steaks were also really good. Try the California cheese steak, which was fantastic. Great pizza place for a quick meal.

We just moved in the area & have had Dominos but wanted to find a really really good local pizza place, after reading the reviews for here placed an order for delivery and were blown away! The good came a lot quicker than expecting, the delivery man was the nicest, sweetest person we’ve met since moving here and the food was DELICIOUS! Pizza was perfect & antipasto was awesome! Highly recommended!

I have ordered several times from them for delivery — no complaints. I go through GrubHub and it arrives hot and has been excellent every time. Last time I ordered a Provolone, Mushroom and Roasted Pepper Burger — delivery driver said he had just made it — all I could say was wow — that was an excellent burger. The pizza is always good — says something as I have had pizza around the world and from coast to coast this is one of the better ones. Have not found the holy grail of pizzas yet but it is really good.

Anyone giving this place 5 stars should have their Unilocal account revoked. It is what it is, a local pizza joint that is decent but not excellent. The prices are reasonable, the staff is personable in a strange Italian way and the food is OK. It’s GREAT late night when you are hammered but then again isn’t any place serving food at that time? The beer selection is large but mostly domestic crap. It’s perfect for a slice and a cheap beer when the timing is appropriate, if you are looking for a «proper Italian restaurant» go some place else.

So it’s late and I want to get some food and figure I should go somewhere nearby… MISTAKE. First, i order a large with pepperoni and an italian sub — somehow this comes up to $ 27. I’m not even sure how that’s possible but the guy behind the counter starts rattling off numbers and I already know this is a mistake. So I then sit for 45 minutes(no exaggeration) waiting for these two seemingly simple items while people come, sit down, get served, eat, and leave… my order is still not ready, though. The guy can clearly see me glaring at him and goes to get my order. Out comes a greasy, nasty looking bag with my sandwich in it and a pizza. Sandwich — not too bad. Pizza — horrendous. The pizza was paper thin, greasy, and just tasted weird. I threw it in the fridge and nuked it three hours later to find a rock solid crust. Poor service… poor quality food… I don’t know how these guys stay in business.

I’ve now ordered delivery from Penn twice. The first time was just a pizza. The second time was a pizza and wings. I feel I’m ready to review them. The pizza is yummy. That’s a technical term. I really like it… their sauce is good and their toppings aren’t chintzy. There’s lots of cheesy goodness to be had. I like their crust so much that I actually finish it. Normally, even if I like a pizza, I’ll leave the crust on my plate. Not here. The wings. At first, we thought that I’d ordered them wrong… they didn’t appear to have any hot sauce on them. However, they were quite spicy and also crispy! They seem to have infused the wings with the sauce before they’re fried?! They were really good! I liked them a lot. Granted, with their special of a 14″ pizza and 8 wings for $ 15.99, which ends up around $ 20 after delivery charge and tax, you don’t get as good a value as the Tomato Saver special at Pomodoro’s Pizza.(With their special, you get the large pizza with two toppings and a double order of wings. And I REALLY like their wings. I usually don’t even eat the pizza when we get that order.) However, I have to say that I prefer Penn’s pizza to Pomodoro’s. As far as friendliness goes, they’re pretty much both very friendly to order from. Anyway, it’s nice to have pizza delivery options… I don’t mind one bit that I like them as an alternative to Pomodoro’s. Their pizzas are just not the same, and so if I’m in the mood for one type, I’ll order that one, and vice versa. Penn’s pizza just reminds me of the pizza I loved in California. Mmmm mmm good.
