Joe has done an awesome job repairing my shoes; reasonable price, quick turn-around. And I always enjoy Joe’s folksy humor! I went there this morning to drop off a couple of shoes to be repaired, but there was a sign on the door — «No more repairs». I hope this is not the passing of an era …

Joe was around when I was young. I used to walk down with my grandfather and now I take my husbands expensive shoes there. The man is wonderful, fun, and saves my husband from purchasing new shoes. Why buy new when you can’t tell the difference once Joe has repaired them. Never go to anyone else!

I assume that Joe Pasco is the proprietor who also works on the shoes. Even if not, the older gentleman who resoled my loafers did an excellent job. Nice polish job, too. He suggested a less expensive approach that had me nervous, but after a day and a half of wear, I’m pleased. These are my favorite work shoes. So, I was pretty happy to have them back in the line-up. A couple of quirky items: i) cash only!; ii) 50% deposit at drop off; and, iii) cluttered shop. I get the third point — my desk probably isn’t much better. And, I get the second point — too many people not picking up shoes that the shop spends time and money to repair. However, these first two items are a bit tedious. That said, the workmanship seems to be good.
