Quite simply the best wings in the DC metro area. A wide variety of great savory flavors, perfect crispiness on the outside, tender on the inside, and consistent in quality. Wing Hub does what it’s best at it and doesn’t pretend to be anything else: a kickass sports bar. The owner, Jeff, is a genuine guy who’s got your best wings tasting at heart, and may choose the flavors for you – it’s for your own good. The waitresses are solid and don’t put up a front. The food, vibe, and place all fits perfectly. The wings themselves are great, but what I especially appreciate is that this place doens’t hold back the HOT in hot wings. While you’ve got great mild flavors(new and traditional), they’ve got some serious tasty hot sauce that actually does some damage, unlike most other places around here that are all hype. The Reckless and Dangerous lives up to its title for even heavy spice enthusiasts.(There is a sauce even spicier off the menu ;)) Aside from the wings, their Gran Turismo chicken parm sandwhich is one of the best damn sandwiches I’ve ever had. Get one with your order of wings. Beer selection could be better, but hey, at least it’s decently cold. As others have mentioned, the happy hour is an awesome bargain… half off all wings and 3 bucks for draft beer. You can’t beat that. Wing Hub is soon going to get a brand change into Maggie’s. I’m a little concerned, as they will be adding a more complete menu(pizzas, burgers, pasta, etc). I hope with the added variety they will still be able to crank out these top-of-the-line wings.

Went here on a Friday night as a last-ditch dinner. The wings were great, but I’d look elsewhere if you want some good beer too. The beer(Yuengling) was just cold enough to be decent, and came out in a plastic cup(I guess the crowd gets rowdy or something?). The wings I got — Racing BBQ and Old School(buffalo) — were good, and some of the biggest wings I’ve had; some were more like small drumsticks. They were just spicy enough to add some good flavor, so if you’re looking to get heat move further down their sauces list. They had some live music going on outside, drawing a crowd, which was cool — and unexpected for a wing place. I sat at the bar, and I actually got good service for how busy it was. The bartenders were very attentive and patient — which brings me to another point. Don’t sit at the bar if you’re the type of person who is annoyed by pickup. That goes for a lot of bars(especially on a Friday) but the bartenders here are very cute, and you’ve got to slip orders in between 40 year old wannabe PUAs hitting on the bartenders all night. Overall, the wings were good, and the atmosphere was pretty normal for a wing place — with the added bonus of live music and the typical awkward bar guys for entertainment. I’d put their wings above Wingstop and BWWs, but it’s not the place to go for beer.

Looks like they have really upped the ante on their menu. All sorts of new choices besides their usual great wings, tenders, fries and burgers. Fish sandwich, Fallafel… etc. etc. Just went in to grab a few beers with Dani… Bethesda’s cutest barkeep. :))) Oh yeah… she will change that hair color for ya! Hope they open more spots coming up… like near me in Gaithersburg!

I have been to Wing Hub 5 times since they opened a few years ago, and have a few observations. 1) the food is quite good particularly their signature wings. They are of good size(I am looking at you BWW with your meager size wings!), with a good variety of sauce options. They are not cheap by any means– 10 wings will run you $ 11.69(!), and blue cheese and celery are both additional extras which is kind of lame when you are already dropping $ 1.16/wing. 2) The AYCE deal is not bad. Wings, drafts, fries, tenders– pretty fair deal really, particularly if you are there to watch a game. 3) The service has gotten really, really bad. My last two visits were both just awful on this front. About 2 months ago my brother and I sat at the bar and were practically ignored by a female bartender. We were almost the only ones there, so it is not like she was swamped. She seemed like a space cadet. I brushed it off and chalked it up to an off day. My fiancée and I went in for dinner earlier this week and had a nearly identical experience. Sit at bar, order wings/sandwich/beer… wait forever(where did the guy disappear to?). He returns, apologizes for forgetting about us and gets our drinks. Then we wait for our food… and wait some more. Finally comes out, this time no apology. Then when we are ready to pay the check he again disappears. We were 2 of the 4 people in the restaurant– so again no excuses about being really busy. I am happy to root for local businesses, but will not return due to the very poor service on our last 2 visits. 2 stars for the very good(if expensive) food.

This place has the best wings in Bethesda, and probably DC. But I don’t even get the wings — I get the tenders, which are flat-out amazing. I normally get them with the«Red Hot» sauce and I’d warn anyone who likes hot sauces to not go above that… as someone who can basically drink Tabasco, the«Reckless and Dangerous» sauce at this place is practically inedible. This place has good value and is a solid spot to catch a game. The staff is a little… out there, but not necessarily in a bad way. Although there’s one bartender there(she changes her hair color monthly… yesterday it was red) who is a little clueless when it comes to managing the TVs. I asked her to turn on TNT so that I could watch an NBA game and she tried to tell me that they«don’t get that channel». After arguing for 3 or 4 minutes, she finally handed me over the remote control and I quickly found the game.

Jeff is the man!!! He always remembers our group even if we haven’t been there in a while. The portions are really good and there is always a deal going on. Good amount of TV’s and a big screen in the back. I just wish there was more room inside… The sandwiches are all excellent and at $ 6.99 each, I dare anyone to find a better sandwich for less in Bethesda or anywhere!!! I ordered the Devil Sauce wings(not on the menu) and commented that it was«weak sauce» so Jeff proceeds to kick it up a notch and probably ruins my taste buds forever with some sort of pure capsican concoction… DONOTCHALLENGEHIMTOMAKE A SUPERHOTSAUCE, you will die…

My girlfriend and I decided to try this place, after I had a week long craving of Buffalo wings. I’m from the Rochester/Buffalo NY area so I am always comparing wings that I try to what I am used to back home. Low and behold, this place made a memorable impression on me! — YAY! My girlfriend ordered the Swiss Mushroom Chicken Sandwich, in which she loved. I thought it was very generous and pretty good. However, I’m not much of a sandwich person. We also ordered a side of Fried Mushrooms — this is not a side. This is a meal within itself, they were SUPER generous in portion and the ranch on the side was yummmmmmy! I ordered half regular mild wings and the other half BBQ. Surprisingly, the wings were very good and super tangy. They were also a good size and all the food came out fairly quick, even though it seemed like a pretty busy night and we only saw one server who also handled the bar. He was nice and attentive. Definitely a place I would love to come back to — yum!

It was an early fall Sunday afternoon. Honey was out with Thing 1 and Soccerballgirl. My mission, along with Thing 2, was to mulch the back yard. This is a three step process: 1. I drive to Stroschniders and load up the SUV with about 20 bags of mulch. 2. Then i drive home and sit in front of the Redskins game. 3. Then Thing 2 unloads the 20 bags of mulch, carries them all over the back yard, opens them up and does the needful. Great kid. Crappy game though. As a reward I asked him where he wanted to go to eat. ” Chipotle” — no way, that place does my head in Then he named some other crappy burrito place in Bethesda — nope ” How about Wing Hub Dad?“ Boom baby — let’s go. I had never been there and I had forgotten what a pleasure a wings and beer joint is on a Sunday afternoon — every game is on, large groups of fans gathering — just a great environment. There were two seats left — both at the bar — we belly up and I order a beer — I ask Thing 2 if he wants a coke. ” Dude” says the bartender«you are in here every night drinking beer and now you are with your Dad you want a coke?» Nice. Great beer and Thing 2 loved his wings. Lovely afternoon.

Soooooo, we ordered a hundred wings for the recent paquiao fight. Called in to order for pickup. After a slightly difficult call, we headed over. After circling for a park, the girls just told me to tuck and roll and booted me out of the car. Now although 15 mins had passed my wings weren’t ready. I waited another 15 mins before my order was up — long enough for them to sell me a drink and some stouffers Mac & cheese. Sigh. I have to say, the wings were tasty. Fat and crispy(pls not genetically enhanced, pls not genetically enhanced, pls not genetically enhanced). Lemon pepper was my fav, but Old Bay and Garlic Parm rocked too. My problem with this place is that 50 wings costs $ 45. I could be wrong, but where is the bulk discount? $ 90 plus tax for 100 wings was more than I was trying to spend. Unfortunately, my girls didn’t do adequate recon b4hand. I’m pretty sure I’ll be back, but only for the AYCE+a game.

Owner has issues. Here is a story about how I was here for about 15 minutes and got kicked out by the angry owner of this restaurant. Very surreal. Came in on a Sunday around 12:40 w/expectations to hang out for a few hours and watch some football and eat + drink w/friends. This place does not have table service, which wasn’t clear to me at the time, so I suppose that is my mistake on the sequence of events that followed. If you are going to have staff dressed like waiters walking around like waiters, and people sitting around looking like they are being waited on, you may make the mistake that you might be waited on. Moving on. So, I’m there for the Redskins game, sitting directly in front of a TV. The owner comes up to us and asks us if we care what is on that particular tv. My first reaction is to ask if we can put the Redskins game on. He curtly replies that that is impossible and says its on 2 other tvs as if I’ve offended him for even asking. I feel a bit annoyed w/this so I respond appropriately w/a sarcastic«Ok guy.» At this point if someone had informed me that to get any service I have to walk up to the register/bar, I would have done so. I’ve been waiting about 20 minutes without anyone asking if I wanted anything, and I’ve seen my friends finish their drinks and wait for awhile as well. My friends are planning on doing the $ 30 all you can/eat drink deal. I’m already on the fence if I plan on drinking+eating that much when the owner comes by and asks rudely if I’m doing the all-you-can eat special. So I’m on the spot and already not feeling good about the service, so I ask him, «I don’t know, will I be getting served regularly and consistently?» My tone was totally normal, neither mean or snide, maybe hinting that I’m displeased w/my level of service so far. At this point he tells me to never come back again and tells me that I’ve gotten on his case twice already, that I’m giving him attitude and that I’m asking stupid questions, in not so nice words calling me an asshole and cursing repeatedly. So I ask him basically«Wtf, just for asking if we can put the Redskins game on?» My verbage is also courteous, if my tone isn’t. He goes on a tirade and kicks me and my friends out and tells us to never come back again, also that he’ll call the cops on us. On my way out, I’m attempting to pay for my friends’ «drinks,» 6oz tiny cups, because I feel sort of bad because they’re getting kicked out on my behalf, even though I really didn’t do anything imo, and I say to him I get he may be having a bad day, but I really wasn’t trying to give him a hard time, trying to smooth it over. At this point he could’ve been a bit calmer and just been like yea whatever I’d like you to leave, but instead he takes this opportunity to again call me an asshole and curse at me. So as he is cursing at us, we leave. We won’t ever be coming back, and I will advise everyone I know who considers this place to never go back because the owner does not know how to treat or talk to customers. Its too bad because the reviews for this place seem to indicate that food is pretty decent.

Went to Wing Hub for the first time before it was really popular with all these Unilocal reviews. I did the all-you-can-eat and drink thing for 30 bucks. I felt like the wings were cooked well and were actually larger than regular wings I’m used to, but the sauces just weren’t that appealing to me. I definitely did not get 30 dollars worth of wings in me. As far as the beers go, Jeff really is a unique sort of character. The world needs more people like him even if he is a dick sometimes. He told me that the drinks were limited to the Yuengling or yellow crap(don’t remember if it was miller lite, bud, or whatever– piss is still piss). I wanted the Guinness instead and he gave it to me, pretty cool move but unfortunately the first pint had a little bit of that residue skunk from a tap that wasn’t run. In any case, I would have been back here with friends often if it wasn’t for the fact that I’m never in Bethesda longer than a few days and my usual stops are Moby Dick and Fu Shing Café. Not the greatest wings I’ve ever had, but certainly well above average and best place in NWDC/Maryland. I had some really good buffalo wings in College Park that topped these, but they may not be around or consistent anymore.

I stopped in on wed during a lunch break, thinking some wings would hit the spot. Jeff the owner is an interesting character, he started off being a total dick by chastising me for grabbing one of his paper menus to reviw as opposed to looking at the giant and difficult to read wall menu. A bit later he through some women out because she was taking too long to order. You know what doesnt make my lunch more fun, having some dickhead owner think he has the right to do whatever he wants because he runs some b level sports bar. Time to grow up Jeff. For whatever reason Jeff was the only front of the house person working and they were a bit slammed. Took about half an hour to get my order of 5 bbq wings and another 10 minutes for my grilled chicken sandwhich. Food was good, but not as awesome as all the reviews claim. Bön Chon blows it away for example. Overall if you want to deal with Jeff and have some decent wings not a bad place. With so many other options in the area though, why deal with a jerkoff?

I must say, Wing Hub does chicken wings some justice. I’ve had the chicken wings and the tenders. I’ll probably pass on the tenders next time, but I’ll be back for the wings. They have a nice crisp to them, which I really like. I had the Old School sauce… yummm!!! Wing Hub does delivery and take out too. I did take out for some wings. By the time I got home, they weren’t as crispy as they were when I ate them at the place. So I highly suggest eating them there. If you order fries, the order is pretty big and they are think fries. I prefer thin crispy fries, so I’ll probably pass on them next time. I’ll definitely be back… but I have to earn it…(i.e. gotta get my workout in cause bikini season is just around the corner!!!)

There are three reasons you should go to wing hub: 1) Quality — the wings here taste really freaking good. They’re huge and meaty, crispy, and dripping in sauce 2) Quantity — the all you can eat option can be a great deal if you’re a big eater/drinker like me. I can easily roll through 30 wings and 7 beers in a sitting, so when they started offering the $ 30 all-you-can-eat I nearly lost my shit. 3) Jeff — Ahh Jeff. Its true that Jeff is a wildcard. I’ve seen him do a lot of things, say a lot of things, and act a lot of ways. I like to think of it as a bit of theater added to your meal — Jeff will not disappoint. Unless you’re like the one reviewer who was kicked out during the 3rd quarter of a football game… Be willing to overlook the automotive theme and head to wing hub. Its damn good

Best wings in Maryland that I’ve ever had. My husband and I always order the ol skool, teriyaki, and garlic parmesean wings. I think I can seriously eat 12 garlic parmesean rings easily, they’re so addictive. The wings are very well cooked and not too greasy. It’s a great place to hang out and eat, while watching sports on their numerous tvs. The owner is so awesome. He’ll even bring the wings to you and come over to chat.

I walked past Wing Hub one evening about three weeks ago, and it barely made an impression on my brain. Then I chanced upon the glut of positive reviews the Unilocal Elite had bestowed upon its red awning-ed exterior, and I had to experience the wings for myself. I invited a few co-workers, and my roommate and a bunch of her co-workers, to join me on a Friday at quarter to 6. First impression: Clean, pretty spacious, well-lit, empty. First star is for customer relations: Wing Hub is an order-at-the-counter place, but because we were pretty much the only ones there and took up three tables, we got table service. The sandwich board by the door advertised WH’s happy hour deal of $ 10AYCE wings(if you order two drinks, alc or non), but our server informed us that they’re reducing it to something like Mon-Wed soon. Ordering was a lot trickier than I had anticipated. Some of us were really hungry and wanted the special, and some of us didn’t want to order that much liquid. Four of us agreed to order 50 wings in different flavors, but then choosing the flavors was like pulling the teeth of someone who has braces. Star numero dos: Owner Jeff stepped in. He explained all the wing varieties, pointed out the most popular, and when we still failed to reach a consensus on flavors to try, he picked them for us! I like a man who can take command. Star #3 is for timeliness: The wings started arriving in, like, four minutes. ** We interrupt this review to announce that there’s a coupon for $ 5 off a $ 20 order on the Wing Hub website.** Star #cat!(because that is pretty much how you pronouce four in French): The wings were deeeeeelicious. Garlic parm was my favorite, but I’d like to give a shout out to my homies lemon pepper and honey hickory. No fifth star because Jeff didn’t take my suggestion of a disco ball in the girl’s bathroom seriously.

First time to the Wing Hub for me — got there a few minutes before 2:00 pm — a few Unilocalers were already on hand — Takaki, PC. Katie, Alicia, Alicia, and a few others — I may not remember everyone’s name — for that I do apologize! Jeff — the owner came over and introduced himself — even though a lot of folks had not shown up yet — he urged us to come on over to the counter and start ordering — he let the girls go first — then we guys got to order. I ordered three different rounds of five wings: the Old School, the Garlic-Parmesan, and the«Ultra — Reckless & Dangerous» plus a Sam Adams Winter Lager. Clumsy me spilled my beer as soon as I got to a table — we had a whole section reserved for us with signs that stated something like«reserved for Carnivores.» Fortunately one of the waitresses came over and helped me mop up the beer and she got me a new one pronto. James L., Lester, Stef, and some other folks who I just met today sat with us — I would love to figure out who everyone was — we need name tags at these events damn it! :-) Part of my order came out — 2 of the 3 types. I started eating the Ultras first — thinking they were the Old School — cuz that’s what the receipt with them said — goes to show what a pepper head I am — they were pretty hot but it did not phase me. I got our waitress to come over and let her know I was missing the Garlic-Parmesan and she brought them out quickly. I was sweating after eating 3 of the Ultras — then Jeff called over to me and asked if I wanted to try his«Kiss of the Demon» wings — Damn straight! I snagged one of those bad boys and stood there and ate it — while watching PC twitch in agony as she slurped down her lemonade in a futile attempt to reduce the burn from the Demon wing that Jeff had given her. As I ate the«Kiss of the Demon» wing — I noted that Jeff was working up a good lather — his ears had begun to turn bright red from those wings. As far as I was concerned — they were damn hot and I loved it — at that point I could not tell if they were any hotter than the Ultras because I was already so hot from the Ultras. Jeff the owner appeared to be pleased that Jeff and I were ardently devouring his hottest wings. Lots of pictures were taken — mine are posted on my Facebook page: Alicia and others took photos as well. Great time, good food, enjoyed seeing familiar Unilocal faces again: Takaki, Stef, Su, Lester, Jeff, Ben, James, Tony, Tu-Van, PC, Karman — and meeting some of the famous local Unilocalers I had yet to meet: Katie, Alicia & Alica, and Becky, plus everyone’s names I don’t yet know!

LOVEIT! LOVEIT! LOVEIT! Came here last Monday with Mike T. on a recreating of the Unilocalers Wings and Trivia crawl. I figured no work on Tuesday due to the inauguration meant I could afford to stay out past pumpkin time and venture over the river to Bethesda. SERIOUSPLEA — Please bring Wing Hub to the Arlington/Alexandria area!!!(plea was made in person to one of the owners who stopped by our table to chat with us for a bit). FOOD This place is seriously good. I’m not a freakish AYCE person. I am happy to stand in awe of the Carivore Crew and wonder«where did it all go?» That being said at the recommendation of the waitress/cashier I did the happy hour AYCE special for $ 10, add in a diet coke for a bit more and I was all set. Wings were fat and juicy with a nice crispy skin. And I will say PERFECTLYSAUCED. I know I should have been more adventurous in my saucings but I saw Honey Hickory on the list, I had an imprinted picture on my tastebuds of what that would be, and it was just what I wanted. I just want to curl up with my basket of HH wings and be in my happy place. No dipping in the blue cheese dressing — just finger-sucking goodness on their own. I did try the Racing BBQ sauce on one batch of wings and it was very good. Kind of a cross between the heat of a traditional buffalo sauce and a touch of a sweeter heaty BBQ sauce. I did like the meat from these wings dipped into the blue cheese dressing more than just on their own, but that is just a personal preference. Mike had gotten a tub of the Reckless & Dangerous with his chicken tenders, so I pulled some chicken meat off one of my bones and braved a swipe through it for a taste test. Holy crap! Not the hottest thing I’ve ever eaten by far(and I’m a person who can down fresh wasabi in quantity without blinking) but I was instantly glad I hadn’t gotten any on my lips and there was certainly no finger-licking going on. SERVICE&ATMOSPHERE This is just a fun place to go. Its not very big, décor is simple, but very practical. Everything very orderly, big roll of paper towels on each table and wet-naps by the pile to clean up after you gorge. Everyone in the place was so nice and friendly. Really made you feel good to be there. The cashier/waitress was helpful with suggestions and attentive with refills. The owner was warm and seemed to really be interested in running a place where people could have a good time. Even the person from the kitchen who walked by when I wanted my 1st wing re-fill was super nice. I’d stopped him and asked what the process was(whether I needed to go back to the counter or not), he just said«I’ll go ahead and get them for you» and happily got me a list of the sauces to refresh my memory. Massive thanks to the Unilocalers for introducing me to Wing Hub. I’m sure I’ll be back.

[PHOTOS] I admit I was skeptical about the wings here. But I was pleasantly surprised and stuffed when we came here for some AYCE wings prior to trivia up the street at H&F. I arrived first of the group as I work just up the street on Wisconsin Ave. I easily snagged a table since the place wasn’t full. I sat down and waited for text and bbm updates from Kevin and Jeff +friend who were all stuck in traffic. As I waited, I was asked if I wanted to order but I didn’t want to start without them. They finally arrived and we went to the counter to order. Their happy hour is M-F, 4 – 7 for AYCE wings for $ 9.99 plus two drinks. We opted for a pitcher of Yuengling(4 drinks) and then I also got a soda. They have a lot of flavors for their wings and there’s a helpful chart on the wall so you know what kind of heat(or not) you’ll be getting yourself into. I believe we had: teriyaki, garlic parmesan, old bay(despite Jeff’s pleas for no old bay), honey mustard, racing bbq, blazing bbq and an order of reckless and dangerous.
The wings came out and we dug in. They were really damn good. They weren’t these skimpy, overly doused in sauce, soggy wings that you’d probably find at other establishments. No, sir! They were fresh, crisp and moderately sauced up so you get just the right flavor on your tongue. I particularly enjoyed the garlic/parmesan and the old bay. The bbq ones were delicious also. Good variety of wings and drumstick parts too. Oh, I was impressed. Jeff ate a little over 30 wings, Kevin claims he ate more than Jeff but I think a re-match is in order since Kevin failed to actually count the bones. I ate 17 and Katie ate 8. Jeff demolished the«Reckless and Dangerous» wings and it didn’t go unnoticed. So much so that the owner whipped up a special batch of off-the-menu hot sauce wings that they served with a hard roll.(I do mean hard… like knock on the table hard.) I couldn’t go near the reckless and dangerous nor the special batch. Just smelling them hurt my nose. But Jeff ate them all. The heat hit him late; his eyes and face turned red, his face sweated and his eyes seeped tears. The manager(?) Jeff was super friendly and attentive. He definitely took care of us as he refilled our pitcher of beer and made sure we had enough wings to stuff ourselves silly. We had some time still before trivia so we also got a quick mini tour of the kitchen. It was neat to check it out and learn about the place. Aside from wings, they also have salads, burgers and sandwiches that I’d also be willing to try on a second trip. If they’re as good as they claim they are, I will bump to a 5th star. But if you’re coming between 4 and 7, there’s no reason not to indulge in their wings. =P
