My wife and I drove across DC and out to Bethesda to see an open house today, only to find once we’d gotten to the house that Matthew Maury was holding the open house for a property that had already been sold. By not updating his listing and canceling the open house, he wasted about an hour of our time and presumably other people’s as well. He apparently wanted to drum up business from the people who showed up, but it was profoundly disrespectful of other people’s time. There were other open houses we did not have time to see because of the time we spent going to see his already-​sold house. We are house-​hunting, not going for leisurely drives to see houses that aren’t available. Not an impressive business practice.
