I’ve been going to Dr. Mancini for 3 years. He is a great dentist. When I first started going there I did not have any dental insurance so he helped me to be very cost conscious and make affordable tooth care decisions when I needed special actions. Then I was able to purchase dental insurance and he helped me decide which federal plan to use for the best coverage. I also hate going to the dentist and he is pretty good about making things quick and painless.

Let me first preface my review by saying I did not actually get to see Dr. Mancini for my scheduled teeth cleaning. I waited in the lounge for about 35 minutes before a very frazzled Dr. Mancini comes out(apologetically) and tells me his machine broke(he attempted to fix it himself) and he is unable to see me today. Now I understand that these things happen, but I had just taken off of work, and will now have to leave work AGAIN to come back for another appointment. I asked if I could be seen the same week and he said he couldn’t see me because he’s booked, and walked away. Seriously? He can’t squeeze me in or try to work something out or stay a little later, or even try to work something out for the following week? I mean, after all, he had already inconvenienced me once… As a new patient, it kind of soured my opinion of him, so I think I’ll continue my search for a new dentist. +‘s: his office is pretty close to NIH, has ample parking, and is located in a very cute little neighborhood with a local apothecary.
