I knew this place was gonna close from day one. I could see the writing on the wall. See, I even wrote a long email to the owner giving him some advice that might save his business. By looking at the more recent reviews. It looks like he did not take any of the suggestions. It was a losing proposition. Too much manual labor. The labor costs were too high, and most importantly, access to the food was too confusing. I even advised the owner on providing individual pizzas(5 inchers) two at a time. That way, there would be no food waste and no weird passing around of food. and people could get exactly what they wanted each time. The types of pizza were wrong for such an uppity neighborhood. In an era where people are looking to dine at Pizza CS, folks aren’t going to be looking for a suped up dominos type of pizza. Pizza Pass served old school American pizza that most people don’t look for in the Bethesda Area. I told them to offer thinner crusts, items such as Pizza Margherita, Funghi, etc. But they stuck to their guns. And it ruined their business. This could have survived. But it didn’t.

This place is sweet — all you can eat pizza/pasta/salad — how can you go wrong? It’s like a Brazillian Churascaria, but for pizzza! Many varieties of pizza & pasta — multi-topped & interesting combinations. The salad bar was good, and they had some decent soups, but I wouldn’t settle for just that(price is kinda high for just salad… good thing I love pizza!) It opened pretty recently, and we went for lunch, so it wasn’t quite running at optimal efficiency with only 6 people. Once they get going it the kinks should work out. Awesome!

I came here during a slow lunch on a weekday. The food is decent, but I think the concept is great. The main draw is the all-you-can-eat pizza, pasta, salad, and soup. Their crab bisque was very tasty, and we also had the taco and DC chili half-smoke pizza which were good. The real twist is the pizza in which they divide their pie into quarters based on toppings. Then, you essentially share your order with the other customers which allows you to get a lot of variety without being obligated to finish an entire pizza. If you’re looking to try a lot of things, this place is worth a try. Dine-in is almost a must.

The owner is so very nice. I really want to see this place succeed but I don’t have high hopes. It is far better quality than someplace like Cici’s but the pizza is mediocre at best. I went for lunch at noon on a weekday recently and at noon we were the only customers the entire time I was there. I wouldn’t return.

What a great concept! I’m a «sampler» kind of diner… why can’t all restaurants be buffets?! I want to eat a little of 4 or 5 different things with every meal; with Pizza Pass, you can do just that! The food is actually pretty good, too; something you might not expect when you think about a pizza buffet. My fiancé loved their pizza and he’s a tough pizza critic. The pizza has a fairly thin crust, but it comes out with the perfect crispness and loaded with toppings. The owner was pretty frank about the crust’s secret ingredient(root beer), but whatever it was, it was a great slice. My guy went crazy for the Buffalo Chicken pizza, I liked the 4 cheese. The key to the restaurant is that stuff is fresh. They make your pizzas to order; it’s not CiCis or some awful place where they keep the same pizza under the lights for 5 hours. You can really taste the freshness. I liked the pastas I tried, as well(a mushroom one and some«adult» mac and cheese), and having fresh mozzarella in the salad bar is a nice touch. Service was AMAZING. Our waiter(a guy working Monday lunch-shoutout to you even though I can’t remember your name!) was a ninja of clearing used dishes and refilling drinks. I docked the star(would have given a 4.5, if possible) because I think the price is just a dollar or two too expensive, unless you come really hungry. Lunch for my fiancé and I, with two sodas, before tip was $ 28. We had a Groupon, so it was fine, but that’s a little more than we would want to spend normally. We’re fairly cheap, though, and I think the value would really shine through if you went with a big group; it’s a fun concept for a celebration lunch. Wheelchair Accessibility Review: Accessible through a ramp on the patio(to the left, if you’re facing the front door). Not a creepy alley or anything, just a few feet from the front door. Once inside, there was plenty of room to maneuver, access the salad bar(reachable from a chair) etc. I didn’t use the restroom, so I can’t speak to the accessibility of those.

Wow! I was so pleasantly surprised by this cozy pizza place in the heart of Bethesda. Stopped by here for Sunday lunch and ended up staying all afternoon. The concept is pretty simple, but why hasn’t anyone thought of it before? Basically it’s an all you can eat pizza place where you choose what pizzas you want made. What a concept right?! Not only that, but it’s great pizza. Not just great pizza for an all you can eat place, but genuinely great pizza. The crust has the perfect amount of «chewiness» while still having some crisp to it. The toppings and sauces are all made in house and taste super fresh. And the pizza options are original. I really enjoyed the DC pizza which is a dead ringer for Ben’s Chilli Bowl(who knew mustard would taste so good on pizza?) and the Pittsburgh(sweet peppers and real Italian sausage!). The service was exceptional and the beer list was also a plus. Overall I really enjoyed this restaurant. Best pizza in DC? Might be. Definitely worth the drive to find out.

This place has really good food and service. While it is more expensive than other pizza ‘buffets’, it is well worth the money and still reasonably priced. I’ve been here twice, and I’ve found that the non pizza food is some of their best food. The pasta is tasty(comes in small bowls that some could consider sample size) and the cream of crab soup is good enough to fill up on. Pizza is unique and comes in several varieties. The Taco Pizza and the Cheeseburger Pizza were the best. With the exception of the Hawaiian Pizza we liked all of them that we had. As a tip, I would suggest coming here during the busy time period(lunch and dinner peak hours) If you are there during a slow time they will still make whatever pizzas you want, but they’ll have to bake them before bringing out and will take longer. During busy periods the workers have the pizzas on a platter and are walking around seeing if anyone wants to try what they have. They have a patio that is nice and they are also dog friendly. I live in VA so I don’t come here often, but it is definitely a place to try if you’re in the area.

$ 12 for an AYCE lunch is a great deal! It’s not a buffet, except for the soup and salad bar. I’ll start there. Lots of toppings. The lettuce is fresh. I had the mixed greens. There is even large slices of fresh mozzarella. The crab bisque is great; not watery like some restaurants try to pass off on you. The pastas: They have several choices. And you can have as much as you want. They serve it in small side portions. I really liked their mushroom pasta. Then, you can design your own. You choose the type of pasta, the sauce, and the toppings. I had another, but I preferred their mushroom one. The pizzas: Again, they have a menu of choices, but you can add your own toppings. They will make you a large eight piece pizza and you can choose to have a different pizza for each quarter. We did this. The buffalo shrimp was great! So was the white pizza(which we added mushrooms to). They even have a baked potato pizza which is a lot like Pete’s, but with bacon bits on top. And the thing is… you don’t have to stop with one pizza! You can order another! The only thing is you can’t take your leftover pizza home. I think that is smart, so people don’t order a pizza and then say I am full, «Can I get this wrapped to go?» They have a large, rectangular patio. Great for the less humid days to come. Here is a tip you’ll thank me for if you read this right away: During the month of August. mention you are a club member to your server and the buffet is $ 10 for lunch/$ 14 for dinner. No need for a Groupon! You can sign up for club membership when you get your bill. There just may be a birthday reward for you too. Kids 0 – 5 Free Kids 6 – 10 $ 7.00 HH $ 2-$ 3 beers M-F 3 – 7

Really like this place! We’ve been there three times now — good to begin with, it has improved with each visit. The concept has been described very well in other reviews. The space is great. The salad bar is delicious and extremely fresh. This is a big deal for me. Great options lettuces, toppings, dressings. My husband loves the soups of the day. There are two vegetarian pizzas I totally recommend — a white pizza and the San Francisco pizza — which are delish. My kids really like the Hawaiian pizza and the spaghetti and meatball pizza. The pastas are fun, and the pesto is terrific. The mac n’ cheese is also a favorite of the kids. It is all made to order so it is fresh and tasty. We went in initially with the Groupon deal. but ended up not using it because of the special that was being offered that evening. They run many promotions and specials, so there are deals to be had. After our first visit, my husband organized his office team building lunch there, and everyone who attended enjoyed both the concept and the offerings. The price — for a lunch — could not be beat. We then took our kids and their friend(teens) in for dinner so that we could use the Groupon before it expired. Again, they all really enjoyed it. The owners are wonderfully friendly, and they are game to try new things — be it promotions, options and menu items — as they work to get it just right! Great for large gatherings, to stop with the team after a game, or for a friendly, casual get together of families. Fills a great niche — anyone who tries it will not be sorry!

I want to start by saying that the staff here work really hard and are super friendly. I hope for their sake that this place makes it. The concept is interesting. Rather than having the pizzas pre-made and sitting out for the all-you-can-eat option, like Cici’s, they’re made fresh to order and passed around. You can choose which pizzas you’d like to try, and they’ll make them for you, along with the choices of other tables, and then everyone gets to try whatever comes around. You can also order as much pasta as you want, but that’s not passed — only you get what you order. You have the option to order their pre-designed combinations or create your own. The pizzas are fine — the combinations they have are fun, but the crust is just so-so(kinda tasted like what you’d get at the grocery), and the sauce is too sweet for my taste. To my surprise, one of my favorites was the taco pizza! The pastas were overcooked for the most part, and the pasta sauces didn’t taste homemade. The salad bar ingredients were fresh, but some of the containers needed refilling. The cream of crab soup was very good, but there were only a few ladle-fulls left at the bottom of the pot when we arrived at 6ish for dinner. We didn’t try desserts because we were just so stuffed already, but the tables around us seemed to enjoy the ice cream cookie sandwiches. I think this place needs some tweaking to be really good. I think they’re trying to do too much, and as a result, nothing gets done really well. It’s a great option for families, as kids eat free, and with some improvement, I think it could be a good option for the rest of us, too.

Very good value pizza/pasta/salad buffet, especially lunch(only $ 12) till 4 pm! You can choose any pizza you want and they will bake it for you the entire 14 inch(option to divide it into 4 kinds). Our favorite was buffalo shrimp. Pasta is made for small serving(about 3 – 4 bites) so you can try almost every kind(or make your own) without wasting anything. you try it and if you like it, you ask for another more. if you don’t like it, try a different one. Salad bar includes fresh mozzarella, dried cranberries and other usuals. Service was attentive. Definitely try it again. ps: There is plenty of outdoor sitting.

This is absolutely my favorite pizza joint I’ve ever been to. I’ve never been the biggest fan of pizza, but this place blew my mind. A friend of mine told me that he had a groupon to this place, and I was a little hesistant about it. He told me it’s an unlimited pizza place, and I immediately thought of CiCi’s. Anyways. We got to the place. It’s a little small but that’s cool. Right when we walked in the server greeted us. Very very friendly and helpful. Having never been there before, I didn’t know what was going on. but he explained very well how to order and everything. We were a party of 5 and we sat right next to the salad bar which was included in the lunch buffet($ 12). I didn’t really care too much for the salad. but they had cream of crab soup that was also unlimited. Again, I thought because it was such a cheap buffet, the food wouldn’t be that great. I was wrong. The soup… pizza…certain pasta’s(I had some mushroom pasta, which I didn’t really enjoy at all) were phenomenal. The pizza really caught my attention because the bread was very crispy. Not soft like the other big pizza chains. Every one of the pizzas that I’ve had were excellent. I wasn’t able to keep my plate clean because they kept coming around with different pizza’s frequently. The reason why I’m leaving this place with 4 stars rather than 5 though is because the salad bar didn’t seem TOO fresh. I had some for sure, but it wasn’t the best. Also among the pasta’s that I’ve had. Majority of them were good. but there definitely were some pastas where I didn’t care for. All in all. I would love going back to this place.

Three stars and not four only due to price and if I had not had a Groupon, it would have been ridiculously expensive… However– Pulled Pork Pizza, YUM. DC Half Smoke Pizza with chili– YUM. Create your own pasta with a multitude of fresh ingredients(I did penne with a tomato cream, diced ham, peas and shrooms) — YUM. Salad bar with large slices of fresh Mozzarella YUM(although the hot house tomatoes were YUCK) So compared to that other Pizza buffet– the dreaded CICI;s, I think 3.5 times the price? worth it? maybe– but still, 18,99 per person is steep. Love the concept, Will return(if there is a current groupon)

The place was amazing! Awesome concept and the food was so fresh and they prepared the meals quickly! I came with a larger party and paying was so easy because it was a standard price for all you could eat! Great place to go if you have a large group(like a swim team) after a meet and want to celebrate, can seat a group of 30 – 40. Give it a try, it’s really fun! :)

Good stuff!!! Lots of food that doesn’t break the bank. Pizza(Taco, Pittsburgh, BBQ and Bacon Cheeseburger) are good but don’t sleep on those pastas. Pittsburgh, Jambalaya and Philly Sausage. They are mighty tasty and also have interesting beers on tap. $ 18 for unlimited courses of multi topped and designer pizzas and pasta is quite a deal!!! It’s not for the finicky or for everybody but in the Bethesda marketplace full of famished families and a long day it fits the bill!!! Even have desserts are good… root beer float… oh my… I am full. I am thinking about investing… :)

The crust is perfect and the toppings will make a fat man of you quick. I tried the Pittsburgh style and the Meat Lovers. The ground fennel sausage is as good as anything from 9th St in Philly and the banana peppers have a great tang. The only problem I had was the design. Apparently those little characters were created by a 7 year old. I do not like being creatively outclassed by a 7 year old.

I won’t be going here again unless I hear things have changed a good bit. It’s a good concept and I know it’s not been open long, so there are some things to smooth out, but my experience was extremely disappointing/frustrating/gross. Spoiler alert: mold in the salad! My friends and I went in for the lunch special: two slices of cheese or pepperoni, small salad, and fountain soda for $ 8. It seemed like a great way to check out the basic pizza and salad bar before we committed to the all-you-can-eat buffet option. They didn’t have any cheese pizza ready(what?) but offered us fancier slices that were cooked already – we turned these down and explained that we’re vegetarians and all the pizza had meat. We were given our drinks and then waited for the pizza for quite a bit, so our drinks were almost gone by the time we were walking out. We saw the guy set out three salads while we waited, and we were all really disappointed to find out that you don’t get to make your own salad – that wasn’t stated anywhere. I asked if the salads are pre-made, and he said«we make them every morning.» Okay, fine. Turns out there are two varieties of salad. Caesar, and one that comes with a vinaigrette. We didn’t get to pick our preference; I guess he just decided which one each of us would want. The pizza is packed in those foil pie-sized take out containers, which means the slices are stacked, so all the cheese on the bottom slice ends up stuck to the top slice and the slices got super soggy. Then we discover that one of us got two slices of pepperoni. This was really disappointing because there was only one table of customers and then us, so it’s not like they were balancing a bunch of orders and got mixed up. When I opened my salad, the croutons were more like soft bread, which is what you’d expect from packing a croûton next to [unappetizing] tomatoes for hours. My friend opened her salad and found that the cucumber came with fuzzy mold growing on it, and that was pretty much the final straw. We were all really excited about a tasty new pizza place. The weird service coupled with unclear rules on the special could be redeemed by good food, but no such luck. I’ll keep my fingers crossed that they work out the kinks.

Think unlimited pizza, pasta, soup & salad. Although I definitely suggest coming for the pizza and pasta! The pasta’s were cooked to order anyway you wanted it, and because it was unlimited I was able to try their specialty pastas too! I had the spaghetti & meatballs, pesto chicken florentine, and johnbalaya pasta(which I loved, with it’s Cajun spices and sausage). The pizza’s are brought around to each table kinda like at a Brazilian BBQ. You get to pick which slices you want like their specialty pizza pass favorites and of course cheese and pepperoni. Btw every slice was always hot and I really liked how they asked me what my favorite toppings were because they actually prepared them a few pizza passes later, yum! Fast friendly service! Plus they have beers and wines! But a few down sides are when I went they didn’t have the beer I wanted, a corona. So I settled for a shock top since they had it on tap. Another thing is they have signed NFL footballs on the wall and as the server tried to point it out he got excited about certain players or something(I’m not a huge sports fan, so I could care less) but the food made up for it :) I was soo stuffed from all the pizza and pasta I devoured.
