Almost zero selection for ceramic and plaster painting. Soap activity is ridiculous, you just dump a few trinkets in a mold and that’s it.

I recently came here with my two girlfriends and their daughters(ages 5 and 8) and we loved it. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. I’m not sure if it is always like this, but we basically got a personal art helper. Bridgette was AMAZING with the girls. We were surprised that she was only in high school because of her maturity level. The girls decided on candle making which wasn’t cheap, but considering how much candles cost these days plus the experience, it was reasonably priced. We ALL loved the experience and I’d recommend it to people of all ages. My husband even wants to go back and do the soap making.

The only real problem with Make Meaning is that it can be pretty expensive. You get your choice of six crafts, most of which require that you leave you piece and return later to pick it up(after firing, for example). For each craft you have various options, but the one your child will want is probably between $ 25 and $ 50. Is this really worth it to make a candle, decorate a cake, or paint a ceramic? Maybe once in a while but not as a steady diet. For example, for about $ 25 you can make a decent-sized heart shaped candle out of small pieces of colored wax(you can pick from about 15 colors, including«dirt»). There are also special shapes you can includes, such as flowers or high-heeled shoes. When you are done, you can select a scent(yes, they have a «dirt» scent too), and the attendent fills the mold with hot wax. A half hour later you can pick up your candle. It will probably look pretty decent too. Make Meaning is clean and inviting, and the attendents walk you thorough the steps so you don’t need to know anything. You can even make an item yourself while your child does. For $ 25 — $ 50. Enjoy. We did.

Both my 3 years old daughter and I love art and craft. Do this is the perfect place to take her when we have no idea where to go. Her favorite activity is the soap making because the soap look like cup cake and she can use them to wash her hand. It’s a good way to teach her to wash her hand after using the bathroom, going outside or eat. She is just so proud because she has her own handmade soap. We plan to try the cake making for my husband’s birthday next July. I think it will be a nice surprise for him
