Easily the most friendly and laidback beer and wine store in Bethesda with a great selection, regardless of your price range. And they’re dog friendly. Wines from CA, the pacific NW, South Africa, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Chile, Argentina, and New Zealand to name a few. The craft beer selection is impressive as well and seems to be constantly updated. I frequent their Friday wine tastings at 5 and can’t say enough about the staff and general environment. Definitely a gem in Bethesda. Also it’s right next to Vace, so it’s a go-to option when waiting on a pizza.

Ya know. when you’re grabbing a pie from Vace, this place, right next door has beer. Ok, good beer. Not Vace beer. Selection is not incredible, but not too shabby. You’ll find something good — like a Lagunitas Maximus.

This is a great place. The owner is extremely helpful and knowledgable. I have been there a few times, and each time I go to him with what I am in the mood for and he makes his recommendations for my price range. So far, all of his recommendations have been phenomenal! I love it because I am in and out of the place with some fabulous bottles of wine in 5 minutes tops, and I don’t have to rack my brain trying to figure out whats good.

Surprisingly affordable prices for wine. I got a great bottle of Pinotage for under $ 15 dollars. The shop is small, but the selection is large. They have many craft beers too. I love that the shop has a dog in residence. Free parking in Bethesda? You bet!

Great place for wine. I only have a few labels that I recognize and try to keep stocked with any regularity but I found them at competitive prices here. Plus they had a great promotion on Bloomspot and it was nice to get a deal to a wine store where you could actually choose the wine you purchased. Finally, the owner’s dog is adorable :)

Look, I live a stone’s throw from this place and I understand why some people would love it. However, if you want beer, this isn’t the place. It’s a cramped spot, the selection for beer isn’t great, and I never feel like I’m getting a good deal. The Beer Wine and Co is another stone’s throw away on Wisconsin and it has a more respectable variety of beer, there’s a noticeable difference in prices, more helpful staff, it has more space(couple rooms), and actually has what you’d expect on a flat screen in a beer and wine place… sports. I want to like Bethesda Chevy Chase Beer and Wine, but I really don’t think it tries and also the atmosphere is just dreary.

This is an absolutely adorable little shop. I used them last year for my corporate Christmas gifts — emailed them with a list and budget and they picked out perfect selections, printed out an overview of the wine to go with each one(on nice paper), and got it all ready to go for me to pick up. I hope they offer this service again next year because I am there!

Stayed nearby at the Residence Inn and happened to find this little spot nearby. I like to poke into wine stores where ever I am. Lots of wine selections, including quite a few Argentinian reds, which are my favorite. I did notice you can make your own six pack which seems like a good way to try new beers, especially seasonal ones. Very pleasant experience, too bad I don’t live closer to stop in more often!

Great selection, good prices, quick and easy checkout. Just know that it’s beer & wine, no liquor.

great small wine shop with some interesting tastings, specials, and very good beers. some days they have a discount on bottles. very knowledgeable staff who are happy to help with selections and tell you what is new. They are my favorite neighborhood shop for buying wines, but they are fairly small and have a wide but not extensive selection.

I feel like wine and beer stores are sprouting up all over the neighborhood lately; it’s about time! Now if we can just get some liquor up in here… During my ten-minute walk to and from work I pass two pizza places, a chicken place, a kabob place, a Trader Joe’s and a CVS. Now BCCB&W allows me to wine while I dine after a hard day of wielding my red pencil. For all you haters out there, I don’t care, I love Bethesda! I poked around the store a few minutes and was impressed by the selection; for such a small space, there was a wide array of mildly expensive to inexpensive, chilled and room temperature wines. I was offered help in picking a red, which I happily accepted(I’m much more a white drinker, but I am constantly on the lookout for reds I don’t hate). The store clerk handed me a $ 12 bottle called Quattro Mani, and the suggestion was spot on; it was absolutely perfect with my spinach and prosciutto pizza from Vace. The fourth star is for how excited I was to see that they carry French Rabbit! FR is wine that comes in a medium-size juicebox-looking container that is perfect for picnics in places where drinking is frowned upon, and it beats the pants off the oh-so-classy wine in a box. Looks like Bradley Food & Beverage might be getting a smaller cut of my wallet…

Was mooching around Bethesda and saw this place — I had never been in so I went in. It is a great spot. Small, bijou, but an outstanding collection of fine wines and Belgian /US Belgian style Beers. I picked up a bottle of Delerium Tremens for about $ 12.45 — that’s about $ 2 over the cheapest I have seen it, but the Ommegang family of ales were selling for about $ 6 for a large bottle which is pretty decent and they seem to have quite a few of the off the beaten track Belgians as well as the Duvels I did not have a whole lot of time to look at the wines but there is a tremendous selection of good quality wines which seem to be fairly competitvely priced. An added bonus is the flat screen tuned to cable news and the owner /manager castigating everyone from the CEO of General Motors to George Soros to Marion Barry.

Holy Cow… I’ve been living in D.C. for six months now and I just found out that MoCo grocery stores don’t sell alcohol. I really need to start paying attention more. Anyway, after finding out where I CAN buy alcohol I ended up here. I was surprise to find out that they actually sold Kirin and Singha. They also have a pretty good variety of wines and when I talked to the owner he said can bring in bottles if I couldn’t find what I wanted here. I don’t know if this place is expensive or not compared to other places since I ONLYFOUNDOUTTODAY that I have to go to specialty liquor stores.
