Paula is absolutely incredible! The day before my appointment, she sent me a kind reminder with detailed instructions for affordable parking (since the salon is practically located in the heart of Bathesda). Unfortunately, I was late my find my way there, but Paula was only understandable and concerned with me arriving properly. Once there, her and her sister were very welcoming! They offered me something to drink and got started with my hair. I was doing a keratin treatment and cut and she was the best! I’ve gotten a keratin treatment once before and it was quite a painful process (literally they burned my head). Paula was only gentle and explained her every step. Plus, talking to her felt like talking to a dear friend. I adore so much! Never have I found a stylist like her, I’m never going back anywhere else. The keratin was excellent! I highly suggest her services to anyone and everyone looking for an amazing stylist!

Paula is simply amazing! I used a groupon for cut and keratin treatment and added ombré highlights to it as well. She was able to finish the whole process within 2 and a half hours! I am pleased with the whole hair cut and high light and my keratin came out great! She walked me through each step of the process and was very personable and kind. I will definitely come back to Paula for my next hair appointment.

Paula was extremely sweet and listened to exactly what I was looking for and achieved it. My expectations were surpassed walking out of the salon. She’s very helpful from the get-​go, from advising me where to park (downtown Bethesda being not the easiest place to park I definitely appreciated this) to being completely open to hearing my thoughts as to what I wanted to do with my hair. I didn’t feel rushed in my discussion with her which is a big plus for me. I brought a friend with me to keep me company and both of us plan to return for future services.

I used a Groupon for a cut and keratin treatment — it was a really great deal and Paula did a fantastic job. Paula is super nice and clearly knows what she’s talking about. It’s been a few weeks since my keratin treatment and the results so far are great and just as expected. I’ll definitely be back when I need another treatment!

I highly recommend Paula at KEO Designs. She has been my hairdresser for 3 years and I wouldn’t go to anyone else. Paula is kind, patient and really gets what you want to get done to your hair. I recently got a Keratin treatment and I’m so happy that I did! It’s the middle of summer and my hair is straight and when I wear it wavy it has no friz. I just got a cut and Keratin treatment from Paula, and she was absolutely wonderful! I usually don’t like the experience of getting my hair cut and highlighted, but I had a GREAT experience. She really listens to what you want and makes sure you leave happy! Very personable and makes you feel welcome. I will definitely be back!

I absolutely LOVE Paula! She is a wonderful colorist and stylist with exceptional customer service. Since I moved here from South Beach a year ago, she has been the only stylist I have gone to. She did an absolutely fabulous job helping me go from black to blonde and always gives me a great cut and style. I have recommended many of my friends and colleagues (men and women) to her and they love her just as much as I do. If you’re looking for a fabulous style, cut or color change, I highly recommend Paula. She has a great atmosphere in her salon and she really cares about making her clients happy.

Paula really listens to what you ask, and she’s such a sweet heart! She does a fantastic job that each time I get my hair done I’m super happy with the results! My sister just got her hair done with Paula and when she was done, she was grinning from ear to ear the rest of the day! We both did highlights, my are a lot lighter (what I wanted) and my sisters are more Carmel (what she wanted).

This was my first experience at Keo Designs, but I was very pleasantly surprised. I got a hair cut and keratin treatment by Paula and she was amazing! She took the time to explain everything to me and make sure I was 100% satisfied with the cut and the style. I also agree with other reviewers – there were no rip-​offs or hidden fees and I got exactly what I was looking for. I would highly this salon to anyone in the area.

I have been going to Paula Baker for over 1 year and she is great in every way! I have had haircut, color and highlights, and I am pleased every time. She spends a lot of time with her clients, she has a wonderful demeanor, and she is very affordable. She really goes out of her way to make sure her clients are happy with her services. Paula is amazing!
She’s the 1^st stylist in the DC area that I have gone to more than once (I’ve been in DC for 7 years!!). She does exactly what you ask for, and it comes out great every time.

Found a great groupon for a keratin treatment and cut for $ 125. Paula was simply a delight. Great cut, treatment and conversation. Definitely recommend this establishment and stylist!

Great experience! Just got a keratin treatment and a trim, and she did a wonderful job! She gives you want you want, and doesn’t rip you off… aka exactly what I want in a hair dresser.

¹⁰⁄₁₀ all around this place is legit.
My haircut is on point, I usually always have bad haircuts everywhere I’ve been, so I was willing to pay a little extra, and it is definitely worth it.
The way I see it, you can save yourself $ 15 so that you can buy a few crappy cheeseburgers and have some nasty guy touch your head and talk about sports and his ex-​wife…
Or … you can not eat that greasy crap and give that $ 15 to this awesome small local business! And you’ll have a nice head massage!
What I really like is that it was friendly, clean, professional, not expensive, you don’t feel rushed, they aren’t just flipping people in and out of chairs like most chains or barbers do…
TL;DR pay the extra money to go here, don’t be a miser, get a good haircut and enjoy the amazing atmosphere.

Paula is a lovely person; super talented, professional, friendly and will make you feel like a million bucks. She makes sure that you’re happy with your hair and really takes a lot of pride in what she does!!! I have recommended Keo Designs to everyone I know!
