The atmosphere here is nice and you can sit outside. The staff were helpful and Professional. My food disappointed. I had lentil soup which was fresh and Hot but without spices. Similarly the falafel was bland and small. I am thinking the non-veggie food may be better?

By far the best Koobideh I have ever had! The food was great and colorful! The service was prompt and on point! I never felt so accommodated at a restaurant, believe me I use to manage quite a bit or restaurants and my biggest pet peeve! I loved every minute AND to top it if the owner went as far as utilizing his big screen tv for the soccer games when he noticed how into we were watching them from the tvs! Great service! Also the hookah put a big smile on my face! I HIGHLY recommend this place!

I liked this spot. People work here are friendly. Best steak I had !! I had the oldest server he was like in his 60s and I kind of felt uncomfortable asking him for stuff because I didn’t want him to get mad or have him moving around a lot. I wanted a gyro they didn’t have it here so he suggested the beef kashish I didn’t like it it came out looking like fear factor style sausage. I tried a piece it tasted like a hamburger beef and I didn’t want to take it back because they probably look at me like really taking it back? I just felt it was too much. My date got the sirloin steak it was so much better !!! I ate half his meal and he ate mines even though he hates meatloaf I felt bad. I had the salad and the dressing was so weird I dot know what it was so I asked for ranch and it was much better ! I come back and try something else but not the beef sausage looking thing. Everyone was so nice here and they have hookah here and free parking that’s why I gave them 4 stars

Great location and great experience overall. We did not have the kabob but preferred to have an assortment of vegetarian side dishes. All dishes were fresh and presented well. The Persian ice cream is a must have — tastes like Indian Kulfi. My only observation was that the falafel was tad oily. Will come back!

Love this spot! Bruce and his crew do a great job all around. Friendly service, excellent food and fair price. A step up from typical fast food kabob joints!

Yummy, good service, nice and quiet, and with free 2 hour parking around the back of it that isn’t a garage! Very friendly and attentive staff.

Easy free parking. Friday and Saturday nights out are often made difficult by scarce parking options, but this place offers a large complementary lot accessed off Woodmont. There is usually ample seating, although it doesn’t hurt to make a reservation. The restaurant feels family owned, which is reflected in the attentive service. My wife and I have eaten here fairly frequently. We’ve been all over the menu and the quality is fairly consistantly high. We keep coning back to capon kabobs. They are nicely seasoned grilled baby birds set off with rice and grilled tomato and grilled onion. We change the rice to shirin polo for a small upcharge. This is a rice dish with sweet glazed carrot slices, sliced almonds, and sometimes the little golden raisins. On our last visit we added pumpkin soup. The dish was nicely flavored, but surprised us with a large portion of chicken pieces. This inexpensive soup could easily work as an entrée if you have a moderate appetite. In the past we often add the shirazi salad with chopped up onion, cucumber, and tomato in a zesty vinaigrette. With entrees in the $ 10 to $ 20 range, a person can have a convenient flavorful meal without breaking the bank.

So far I’ve had the Salmon salad, the Lamb Special on Tuesdays and the Chicken Kebab, all of them are great. Served with a big heaping on basmati rice, you can sub that rice out for a salad as well or half rice and half salad. The customer service is great, seems like a family run operation.

we bought certificates through social web sites for this restaurant for VA and MD — when I arrived at the maryland location they came up with excuses not to honor the certificates which were not expired at the time but they refused to take them anyway. They need to be reported to appropriate state offices for fraud. They think they can sell and collect money from consumers but hot honor them later on– Well, I will take the time and report you guys. I rather go to any other Persian restaurant in the area and NOT to give this restaurant any business.

After coming back to try kabob bazaar once again with some friends, I was so impressed with their food I had to give them a better review! The shirin polo and lamb shank was melt in your mouth delicious. Tender, flavorful lamb and buttery, herbaceous rice. a heavenly combination. At a steal for lunch. The Persian tea was also very yummy and comes with a dish of sugar cubes for you to sweeten yourself. It was similar to strong black tea with a hint of floral notes. Went perfectly with the meat dishes. Parking: free in the back of building. Otherwise, public lot and street parking.

Good food and service was good also. The place is a little small and dark and parking is a pain. Overall we will go back as the food is good. I liked the Koobideh, the chicken was a bit dry. The Ghormesabzi was goiod not great. The Aash was very good. For the price you get a good deal.

Worst experience ever, the rice was old and dry, and worse than that I found a TEETHFOSSIL in my food. I don’t’ know why they are expensive for nothing.

I’m 100% Persian and really picky about our cuisine. So my five star review should tell you that this place rocks! I have tried Dizi(on Sundays) and Koubideh Kabob here. I was pleased with both dishes. We had a great time thanks to the staff was well. I’ll tell you one thing, however; if you’re not Persian, this place could be a little loud for you on Sundays! But that should never stop you from having a wonderful meal.

Three and a half stars. I’m always a happy camper when my office caters from here. Tahdig is usually crisped just right(too scorched just the once). Kubideh and chenjeh kabobs are tender and moist, and I almost prefer them both over the barreh kabob. Their chicken thigh kabob is usually decent, but their jujeh kabobs tend to be a little dry. Skip the hummus, salad shirazi, and dolmeh, they’re just okay and the latter can be served too limp. Bread gets stale quickly, so I prefer the buttery rice. Some of the best falafel patties I’ve found in MoCo, moist green interior with an even crust.

Service: Great hospitality, helpfulness, and communication. Food: amazing kitchen and menu. A+ material on A+ price range. I wish they had Fesenjoon on Friday too. after all so many vegetarians can handle chicken ;) Place: can be much better specially in the restaurant side and not their magically«Oriental» bar-side Music: live keyboard on weekends night. what else do you want? Dessert: they have awesome Zaffaron ice-creams and Faloodeh. you can stop by for a quick brain-freeze before a movie, right? Suggestion: tea on the house anyone?! :) Management: angry at me asking where is the closest bar?! he did not know! WTH man. I am a sinner. Hayedeh wants me in hell.

Great local persian food. Loved the quality of the food, although the shrimp had a tad bit more turmeric. I ordered the chicken and shrimp special dish with beans, raisins and dates on spiced rice. You can also try the local yogurt mint drink which was flavorful and complimented my entrée kebab dish.

Wow is not enough to describe this. I’m sitting here now having just finished, absolutely everything was spectacular and perfectly cooked. Sirin polo will be in my dreams! Mixed appetizer plate with sauces hummus taboule etc the best way to start. This was my first time here and I will be back.

I came here on a whim one day during a lunch break. This little establishment is located in downtown Bethesda and is in walking distance from the Bethesda Metro Station. I believe it to be one of the most impressive Persian restaurants in the area. If you enjoy Moby Dick(which is further down the street) then you will LOVE this place, it is 100 times better! It has tons of character due to the wholehearted and tasty food, lovely staff and warm welcoming décor(they place fresh flowers on each and every table – so cute). I ordered the Chenjeh Kabob which is a beef kabob plate consisting of marinated chunks of prime beef and veggies. It was so tender and flavorful! The sides were amazing as well! It came with a salad, pita bread, homemade sauce and rice! The pita bread is puffy, hot, and soft! I am NOT a bread person but this stuff is yummy! This place is so good that I thought it would be more expensive(all of the above calculated to $ 10.50). The patron behind me heard that it was my first time here and lectured me on the history of the food and how the rice is incredibly good for you. He stated that he has lost over 20 pounds from eating here! I will definitely be back for more!

The DC area needs more restaurants like this: plenty of character, delicious and hearty fare, unpretentious, friendly service, and affordable. The salmon kebab was cooked to perfection – just barely cooked, tender, with a crispy skin, supremely fresh and flavorful. Though next time, I’d pay two dollars extra for one of the snazzed up rices rather than the plain white rice. Great silky hummus and very fresh tabouli salad. The falafel was a little harder and less flavorful than I typically enjoy and the lentil noodle soup was a tad bland and the noodles were too mushy, but I still can’t wait to come back and try some of the meat dishes.
