What??? CLOSING???
This guilty pleasure is going away (from this location anyways). WHY? We can downgrade Montgomery Mall a few notches once they leave…

I’ll admit, trying to find someone on the floor to help you, is near impossible at this Crate & Barrel. We’ve practically screamed «PLEASE HELP US… WE WANT TO GIVE YOU OUR MONEY AND LOTS OF IT» at the top of lungs, while standing in front of a particular bookshelf or table… and still, no one will come near us (do we smell?).
But once we get in line to pay for something, the cashiers are remarkable chipper, helpful and nice. The last time, I believe I had just purchased some margarita glasses for a friend, and ask that they put it in a box for me. Once they found out that it was a gift, they wrapped that sucker like it was a Faberge Egg! It was pretty awesome!
However…on a previous trip, I wanted to know more about the patio set that was on display… and I think I stood there for almost 30 minutes and still no one stopped to help.
A little mutliple personality… but still, it’s a Crate and Barrel and their stuff is just so pretty!

Okay. does Crate and Barrel blow smoke up the @%s of it’s employees to make them believe they possess a skill that makes them superior? This store has some «nice» things. But, come on. we all know we can get the same stuff from Pottery Barn. The staff at this store seems to have a really difficult time wanting to help it’s customers out. The store has a very limited product selection, especially compared to what’s offerred on-​line. If that’s not bad enough, the employees offer zero help in finding the product you’re in search of, or steering you to an on-​line purchase. This is not a one-​time issue. and honestly, the Mass Ave store is just as bad AND they charge you for a bag to carry out your stuff. Life is too short to have to shop in this place. just trying to figure out how to cancel all the catalogs they send out.
**Remember.a company goes out of business one customer at a time**

Nice unique items. Trendy store. Prices are reasonable and staff are knowledgeable.
Great place to find a gift for the Culinary artist in your life!

I heart Crate & Barrel. I’m sure this comes to many of you as little to no surprise. But I just need to make sure I said it again for the –few– of you who it may have been unclear to: I HEART Crate & Barrel!
Now that I live in Bethesda, this store is more convenient for me to get to than the one in DC on Mass Ave by the AU Law School.
I didn’t actually come here to buy something for myself (SHOCK!) but I came to purchase a gift for my friends’ wedding registry. I had come prepared with a printed list of what they still needed and was assisted numerous times by several different associates as I slowly made my way around the store deliberating over which item to buy.
I ended up buying them the decanter/​pitcher on their list as well as a little bamboo pot/​pan scraper. Okay and I bought one for myself too (the bamboo scraper, not the decanter) because I always find myself using my bamboo rice spoons to scrape the bottom of my sautee pans.
This store is very organized and full of wonderful things that I want to buy. The sales associates were very friendly and helpful without being overbearing or pushy.
I heart Crate & Barrel!

Service Blows!
I won’t comment so much on the products, they’re nice and all, but that’s not what I’m worried about.
These clowns have been consistently rude to me. It’s just a wreck how rude they are!
Just one example:
Tonight I went in to buy a present for my sister and I was standing behind two people in line and there was no one else around and the woman behind the counter chirped at me, the line forms from over there. So went over there to the end of the counter and the people there said they weren’t in line. So I went back to where I was and I got snapped at by the other woman behind the counter, «line – over there!»
I was just like, wowwww. So I reached for one of those comment cards that you mail in and they were sweet as pie after that. Oh well, I shop there pretty much only around the holidays – but I feel as though customer service is nine tenths of the experience. And they suck!

Great place, although they don’t always have the selecting I’d prefer. I often don’t find things that I saw on the website.
