If you’re looking for a place to satisfy your salad fix, Chop’t has got your back! At Chop’t, they give you the freedom to create custom salads tailored to your tastes. They also have some great options for you to choose from on their menu so if it’s your first time, I would stick to choosing one of these. It was my first time trying this chain, but I decided to go ahead and give it a shot. Ordering is easy. It’s like an assembly line: you choose your ingredients, the employees chop everything up with a crescent-shaped blade, and then you’re off to pay & enjoy your salad. I ended up choosing their Santa Fe salad, and was not disappointed. My salad had chopped romaine lettuce, avocados, tomatoes, corn, fried onions, and pepper jack cheese. They were a little heavy on the salad dressing, so I suggest you ask for dressing on the side. The bowl they put your salad in may look a little small, but looks can be deceiving. They actually give you a decently-sized portion that’s perfect for a light lunch. I like the fact that they give you a complimentary piece of pita bread so you can make your own mini-wrap from it. The interior is spacious, clean, and super GREEN. The walls are a bright green color, which really works with the place. I don’t know exactly what it is, but the interior is very inviting. They have an ample number of seats as well, so finding a seat shouldn’t be too much trouble. The salad creations here definitely exceeded my expectations. Chop’t has delicious salads that’ll rock your world! A must-try if you’re looking for something new for lunch.

Always a great lunch for our office’s Take-Out Tuesdays. Online ordering is a breeze. then I love building a custom salad or sandwich full of fresh greens and good veggies! If you’re somewhat of a picky eater like me, then any restaurant that let’s you make adjustments and build a unique meal is always a plus. The dijon vinaigrette dressing is one of my favorites. The Ginger Lemonade is also great.

What an amazing idea for a restaurant. After a couple of days of overeating, we were ready for something a little lighter. Chop’t was the ideal spot! When you come into the restaurant, you step up to the salad bar and place your order. We were easily able to make adjustments to our salads. We both got the cobb salad, but both of us made our own individual adjustments. Your salad ingredients are placed in a bowl and you and your bowl move to the choppers. These wonderful folks with burly arms chop your salad and add whatever dressing you want(I had a Balsamic on the salad and a bleu cheese on the side). Once you are all chopped up, you move on to the cash register. You can take your salad to go, or eat it there. When we got there, we were behind about 5 people, and the line moved pretty quickly. I love the versatility of items that you can get in your salad. The salad itself was terrific, and at no point was there any artificial/preservative taste at all. It tasted like something I had made myself, but better, because I didn’t have to! I would definitely come back here for more!

Big fan of Chop’t! Great food and service always! Gets a bit crowded during lunch on weekdays but fairly open rest of the time! Get the spa dressings if you’re trying to keep it light and do try the Mexican goddess dressing :) Hot bowls are ok, I prefer the salads.

For freshly made salads with proteins, this is way better than the other place on Bethesda Avenue. The selections and offerings are fresh and seriously great protein selections like beef and chicken etc. Creative salads and dressings… a win for the area!

Why haven’t I reviewed Chop’t before? Of all the restaurants in Bethesda, I’ve eaten at Chop’t the most. Their salads are always fresh, full of «choppings» and HUGE. The restaurant is always clean and inviting, and the staff are accomodating and warm. Be sure to get there well before noon, though, because the line can get quite long. Sunday afternoons are usually quiet. Love Chop’t and hope they open many more locations!

Best salads in the area and amazing customer service every time. Kale Caesar is the best on the menu. Go at least 15 minutes before noon unless you want to wait in a serious line. If you’re concerned about calorie count, make sure you take the dressing into account. The calorie counts next to the salads do not include the dressing.

I probably go here or to the 19th street location near my office once a week. Delicious, and I especially love the new-ish grain bowls. Easy to customize based on dietary restrictions, and so many dressings give this place a nice variety. Only lose a star in the prices, but I’m used to those living in MoCo/working in dc! Staff is friendly too.

It’s no surprise to anyone that I love food. Just look at me and you can tell. Some may be surprised to hear that I like salad, but I really do love a good salad. Well, this is not a good salad IMO. I’ve tried it twice and both times I felt like a farm animal grazing on endless lettuce. The one I just ate was awful. I’m leaving this at two stars for now, as I’ll give it one more go. After all, it’s salad. How do you screw that up? Maybe I ordered the wrong thing. This was a Palm Beach and previously, I had some Mexican thing, both with chicken. The staff were nice and pretty quick considering the line. The store looks great. But too heavy on the lettuce, maybe too stingy on the other ingredients? At any rate, these salads were boring. I do enjoy the salads at Panera which are way better, IMO.

Excellent selection of salads. This location in particular has the best manager of any restaurant I know. Her name is Joelle. There’s plenty of parking in the back. Don’t even bother looking up front.

I absolutely get the reason why Chop’t is a popular grab-and-go place in the DMV area. The greens are fresh, the protein look clean, and each staff member is an expert of their craft along the salad assembly line. While I can’t fathom the idea of paying ~$ 14 for a salad, I realized that for a lunch or light dinner, the portion size is about right. If I were to buy all the ingredients myself, sure that’d be cheaper, but isn’t that why we pay for convenience? I do have one criticism(hence 4 stars): they are skimpy about the protein. I could fool a vegetarian that my Chop’t salad has roasted chicken. Anyhow the parking situation is a disaster on a beautiful spring/summer day. But rest assured that if you circle the parking lot long enough, there will be plenty of people leaving since there are a ton of grab-and-go places along the strip. Pro tip: you can decide exactly how chopped your salad is, or not chopped at all. Some days I just like them going to work chopping away like salad iron chefs.

Excellent place for a quick salad. Fresh ingredients, attentive employees, fast service, even during a lunch rush. Hint: build your own salad instead of one of the salads listed on the menu – you’ll save some money.

I’m always happy when I choose this place over any other grab and go food places. There ingredients are fresh and clean, and I’m always satisfied with my salad. They have pretty large portions so I often keep half my salad to finish later. They do tend to have long lines but it moves quickly, don’t be afraid when you walk in and the line is almost to the door. If your unsure of what salad dressing you want, they do let you try one or two with a piece of lettuce. Also for those people who are opposed to having a salad for a meal, chopt does wraps too!

I like the salads here. They just haven’t blow me away. I suppose it all depends on what you order. The first try, I was left hungry. Guess I got something«too» healthy — the Harvest Cobb. The next time, I made sure to order something more hearty… A special of the day with chicken, green chiles and rice mixed in. It was good and fresh and satisfying. I like how you can tell them how«chopped» you want it. It is nice to have healthy options in the fast casual world.

Located in the Balducci’s shopping center. Parking is plentiful. First time here and I think I might love it but it’s too early to tell! If you’re looking for something a more refreshing then stick with the cold salads but if not try a warm salad. I got the chicken tinga salad(warm salad) and it kinda reminded me of a healthier Chipotle or California Tortilla. My friend got the steak salad and another friend got the kebab cobb. Both their salads were refreshing! I can’t wait to go again and take my sisters here :) You can order something off the menu or create your own. After eating here we went to Balducci’s and got delicious dessert! :)

I like Chop’t, I really do. I can’t help it. Chop’t has great salads and no one can change my mind about that. Now, if you’re going to Chop’t and buying a Ceasar salad for $ 10, then I’m going to call you a crazy person! Go to a salad shop for their signature salads or go somewhere else! Seriously! Don’t come complaining to me when your salad is just a salad because you ordered the Cobb salad when you could have gotten a Steakhouse or Santa Fe! Today, I got the Canyon Road Cobb which is a destination salad. Yum! Chicken, quinoa, cheese, jalapenos and sweet potatoes with romaine and kale! Yes, the girl chopped my salad to teeny bits. I probably should have said something rather than just watching, but oh well. It still tasted delicious! With so many different ingredients and the sweet and smoky chipotle sauce, this salad hit the spot for my poor tummy that is on a healthy food for dinner lifestyle that hates it. I got all the taste for half the calories! My friend who came with got the Modern Asian Salad with 5 flavor asain dressing. She didn’t get any meat with it, so it ended up being your regular tasting salad. Nothing impressive. It would have tasted better with some chicken. Overall, I’m serious about loving this place for a salad place. My favorite is still the steakhouse with the steakhouse blue cheese dressing. It’s a very simple steak salad and that dressing is to die for! But, I do agree that some of these salads are not worth the $ 10.
