Bubble Tea Licious

Great customer service, really good bubble tea. I ordered a Thai Iced Tea with bubbles. The texture of the bubbles is great and the drink was sweet but not too sweet. If you tweet them @bubbleteaparty they’re very good at getting back to you about their location.

I’ve recently been spotting this food truck parked at the Woman’s Market on Wednesdays and Fridays around lunchtime, and it’s gotten quite the fan following. Starbucks might be losing some business to these people because the line can get ridiculous at times. But it makes sense because the bubble tea is wonderful. I ordered a red bean smoothie with bubbles and it’s some of the best that I’ve had outside of CA. The flavor was spot on, the smoothie was perfectly blended, and the texture of the bubbles was just the right chewiness. In Bethesda/​DC, I’ve tried bubble tea from Foong Lin, Teaism, Zen Tara, and random places in Chinatown, and this place was the best by far.
Unfortunately, I can only give 4 stars because the drinks are overpriced. No matter how great it is, it’s not worth the $ 5 price tag since I’m used to bubble teas that cost $ 2 – 3 each. I still plan to get drinks from here, but only as rare treats, or unless they bring the price down a bit.
