Awesome place for fish and chips and gyros. Huge take out business. Prices are great and portions are good

This little restaurant has a lot of choices on its menu. We enjoyed a delicious fish dinner. We plan to go back and order a Mediterranean meal. There is a no frills dining room available. You can also order take-out. The staff was friendly and worked hard to make us happy.

For a person who grew up in NY this place is amazing! The food is amazing staff is very nice and helpful! It looks like a spot right out of the Bronx nothing to look at but the food speaks for itself and that’s what keeps the prices down!!! If your around it’s a must try!

The cook didn’t wash his hands between cleaning things, touching money, and handling my food. No gloves. There was a kid in the kitchen with no shoes on. And when I was there, in June, there was still a bag of rock salt on the floor next to the front door… I suddenly wondered how long it had been since the floor had seen a mop.

Friendly staff and the food is out if this world good. Doesn’t look like much inside or out, but don’t pass it by.

Owners take their time and make sure food is fresh and perfect! Chicken kabob is probably my favorite dish with the rice and salad! Also have great falafel sandwiches!

This is a tiny strip mall joint with 8 seats and a long wait. You should consider this as a call ahead take out place. There is no atmosphere to speak of but in the case of this place it works just fine. I had Fish and chips and I have to say it was very good. I watched all the middle Easter dishes come few the kitchen and wow it all looked good. The workers were very pleasant and although small the diamond area wasn’t bad. There was a constant flow of people in and out the door that says soon you could expect this place to grow into a larger location.

We’ve never stopped in because there is never on the parking lot. We finally decided we’ll never know until we try. Glad we did. I got the lamb gyro and it’s flavorful and tender. Husband got the fish and chips and wasn’t disappointed. Definitely will come back.

Combo chicken and lamb & rice w/white & red sauce is definitely the best I’ve had in Fairfield County. High quality meats. Fresh vegetables. Long-grain brown rice is a great complement. The owners and staff are very friendly and personable; easy to strike up a convo with. My father comes with me all the time and always orders the fish & chips for lunch and can’t get enough of it. Atmosphere is clean and friendly. Can’t recommend it enough.

The food is really good. It is reminiscent of London street food places. Fish & Chips, Fried Chicken, Burgers and Sheesh/Shikh Kebabs all made by the same guy. The menu is huge. If its fried, broiled, roasted, its probably on their menu or they will make it for you. I enjoy their Kebabs: They take a little time to make these but it is well worth the wait. Best to call in your order and then go pick it up. The owners are very hospitable and always very pleasant. Although the Royal Guard Fish & Chip in Danbury have a similar name, they are not affiliated. I prefer this one in Bethel by far.

My husband and I picked up some gyros last night and we were not disappointed! And we never have been. The meat is perfectly cooked and the sauces that come with it are delicious. Everyone here is very friendly, definitely recommend.

This restaurant is beyond amazing. Ok, of course you come in for fish and chips which I did and I see where the Royal chimes in. The batter used is perfection and is unmatched by any other restaurant offering a fish and chip experience. The fried chicken is just as amazing, and better then local fast food competitors. Now let’s talk about the surprising selection of things like their DELICIOUS gyros both lamb and chicken, over a bed of delicious rice that you can pair with their signature white sauce which needs to be on shelves in the grocery stores like yesterday. Kabobs… And much more. AMAZING.

My first reaction to the place was OKAY this place is humble!!! But then when you come in you are greeted by the nicest host. The personal was attentive and just made you feel like you were part of the family and that was the beginning. The FOOD… AMAZING…the best fish and chips EVER… I’m not kidding. I also had the eggplant fries… wow… I could go on and on describing everything we had to eat but I don’t think there is enough space. So, if you read this review, you gotta trust me on it. This is by far one of the best place you will eat at and the cost won’t burn a whole on your pocket.
