I always search on this platform, but was compelled to review. The chix cutlet was great, definitely a go to. Im from new haven and remembered enjoying the food years back. But really it was the ownership that incentivized me. Being an owner of a shop, i can really appreciate customer service and exceeding expectations, engaging w the people. And because of their honest and great approach towards service, i thought it was well worth the two minutes to encourage people to eat here.

Best sandwich shop in town. Love the variety and creative naming of the sandwiches. Large menu means there is always a new sandwich to try. Nice people also.

Love this deli. Everything is always fresh and very tasty. The portions are good. My BF who is picky loves this place. Didn’t give it a 5 stars because it’s hours don’t work with mine.

One of the better Italian combos I’ve had in the whole fairfield county area! Get the wedge if you know what’s good for ya!

Overpriced and overhyped. The food is good but the owners are unpleasant if you’re not a regular.

Rocco’s rocks! Love the Louisiana lightning, cluckin russian, st. Anthony, and the inferno. Great selection of chips and teas. Just getting started there trying out the different foods and drinks and so far so good. Pricing seems fair. Good location in downtown bethel. There have been similar attempts at this deli in the past by other owners under different names and Rocco’s for my experiences has been the best. The service is quick and friendly. Owners Justin and Rachel are very friendly and welcoming.

My office & I order from here almost once a week. We are never disappointed with the quality of the food. The customer service is friendly and welcoming, as this is a family owned and operated establishment.

Went here this afternoon for a delicious sandwich for my girlfriend and I as usual on a Saturday. I ordered two Cluckin’ Russians on rolls with extra sauce. I got two Cluckin’ Russians on grinders with no sauce at all. I paid $ 18 for two sandwiches that were terrible and tasteless. I asked for extra sauce specially because last time they were lacking as well. If they can’t even get the type of bread right, or add a little bit of sauce to their frozen and reheated chicken, why would I even bother paying that much money for shitty service. The sad truth is I rather eat at Burger King at this point. At least they get their orders right and don’t charge me an arm and a leg for a screwed up order. Bottom line is if you want what you ask for go elsewhere.

Probably the worst sandwich place in downtown very expensive to for lunch. I also felt employees were rude and unwelcoming. Places like these also need to realize $ 5 is the sweet spot for lunch why would i pay $ 8 for a so so sandwich?

Full disclosure; I worked at one place in this space so I understand the short comings of this facility and can say without a doubt the new owners are doing a very good job utilizing it. Rocco’s gets back to basics with good Italian deli style sandwiches. I had a sandwich here last week, it was one of the ones that has been on the menu through the last 5 incarnations of this location, the Sinatra. I have to say it was fresh and well made with just the right amount of everything. The interior has been cleaned up and freshened up with a couple of small tables and a lot less clutter than some previous establishment in this locale.
I saw the great Italian bread on the shelf that we used to get delivered fresh from NYC daily so that’s a good sign, everything in the deli case looked home made and fresh, another good sign, my old friend Ruth was working in the kitchen, a third good sign! All the best to the new owners, if they can keep up the quality and get the word out they should do great!

Great old fashioned Italian deli with all the traditional stuff you’d expect and some creative new stuff you wouldn’t. I saw that this place had just opened up and I stopped in for a late breakfast sandwich/hangover cure. I had the«WestConn» and it was awesome! Highly recommended. It was loaded and just what I needed. I like a sandwich on the bigger side so this place really made me happy. I hate ordering a sandwich, whether breakfast or lunch, and getting mostly bread. You won’t have to worry about that happening here. If you don’t like your sandwich loaded up, let them know. I also had a cannoli that was filled fresh right there on the spot. It was amazing. Really looking forward to trying the rest of their menu.
