My daughter and I went for a prom dress, put a deposit on it. Come to find out the next day the same dress in a different color was sold to another girl going to the same prom. This caused a problem. We did say what school and it wasnt divulged that the same dress was sold in a different color. My daughter knows this other giril! went in to see if I could get my deposit of a wopping $ 40.00 back. No. How about store credit then? No. Can use it on another dress. What is the difference if I used as store credit? No. I will never go back to the store again for anything, would it have killed you to give back the $ 40.00 or let us have store credit. Would not recommend! She already tried on all the dresses so she had me hook line and sinker. Not customer service friendly.

I did not wind up purchasing my dress here but Erika was a fantastic consultant! She knew what would fit my body, listened to me and picked out some beautiful gowns. I would highly recommend going here to try on dresses.

Shopping for my wedding dress was probably the thing I was least looking forward to on my wedding to-​do list, but Gail made it an awesome, painless process. She is very attentive and accommodating when it comes to style and modifications to make sure you walk out of there with the dress you love, and she was totally willing to work with me based on my budget. The whole atmosphere of the store is relaxed, and there’s no pressure laid on, as I’ve seen at other, larger bridal shops. Before as a bridesmaid and now as a bride, I’ve had nothing but great experiences at Occasions Bridal.

I went shopping here for my wedding dress, and although I did not ending up buying from here, it was a wonderful experience. Gail was so helpful and kind the entire time. She took great care of me and my friends/​family. We will definitely be coming back for bridesmaids dresses and MOB dress!

My Mom and I recently went to Occasions Bridal to get her a Mother of the Bride dress for my upcoming wedding this summer. We went in without an appointment and were greeted warmly by the staff. They explained everything to us as far as the layout of the dress selection and offered their input on different choices. Debbie was the one to help my Mom throughout the appointment overall and couldn’t have been more wonderful. She was genuine in her input and helped my Mom pick a dress that was perfect for the occasion. Thank you Occasions and Debbie for making this a fun outing with a great outcome… two happy customers.

After shopping around for a week weeks, I just purchased my wedding dress at Occasions yesterday! I had a wonderful time working with Gail and all of her staff — they were always professional, warm, and extremely patient. I can’t believe I was able to decide on one dress — all of them were gorgeous! And reasonable! I plan on ordering my bridesmaid dresses through Occasions and my mom is already planning on purchasing her dress from there as well. Thanks Gail!

I have been to Occasions several times now, once for my own wedding and now again for a formal gown for a ball. Gail is amazing. She is sweet, she knows women and dresses and has impeccable taste. I adore the fact that she has a small, cozy shop and that she prides herself on having better quality and one-​of-​a-​kind dresses that superstores or huge name brand outlets cannot accommodate. I have recommended Occasions to many women and will happily continue to do so.

I had a very pleasant experience at Occasions. Yes, it is small, yes there is only one mirror, but I had no problem with that — I guess I don’t need to be treated like a Queen. I found the perfect wedding gown, reasonbly priced, by a designer that is largely unknown with styles that are a bit different, more classy and better quality than gowns I tried on at other salons. Yes, there was one salesperson who is a bit pushy, but this is the wedding business and you have to have a thick skin. Gail, the owner was an extremely calming influence and wonderful to me. My gown came in months earlier than promised which was a huge relief. My only negative is the alterations situation — they are affiliated with a shop across the street, and the seamstress working the day I went was just not qualified to do wedding gowns. If you’re not a prima donna, want a great selection of reasonbly priced gowns, and can deal with alterations on your own, definitley give this shop a chance.

I had a terrible experience with Occasions in Bethel, specifically with the owner Gail. The dresses and shoes for my bridal party were ordered 6 months in advance to make it in time for all necessary alterations to be completed before our big day. Well, the nightmare began with the shoes which were ordered based on Gail’s recommendation. When my MOH went in to try on the shoe it was completely the wrong size (too big), Gails suggestion was to put tissue in them to make them fit. Can you imagine my MOH walking down the isle with tissue hanging out of her shoe? I could get over that, not the end of the world with having to order another size. The thing that REALLY got to me was when I called to check on the arrival of their dresses since I hadn’t heard from her and our wedding was a month away. Long story (and nightmare) short my bridesmaids dresses were stuck at customs in China and there was no way we would have them in time for our wedding… now I only knew this because I called the manufacturer, shipping company and customs myself! Gail offered little to NO HELP! I requested a full refund, plus the difference in costs (dress plus expediting shipping costs of new dresses). After nearly a week of phone calls and me having to take matters into my own hands I started looking for new dresses. The only problem is that any reputable boutique was not able to get 8 dresses with sizes ranging from 0 – 14 in 2 weeks! I had no other choice but to go to David’s Bridal, they were GREAT and luckily it worked out. The nightmare ended with Gail refunding us for only the dresses and shoes, my husband and I having to spend over $ 350 (unplanned cost) out of pocket 2 weeks before our wedding (I felt that my bridesmaids shouldn’t have to pay the difference in cost due to another person’s negligence) and completely unnecessary stress. I would never want another bride to go through a similar experience which is why I would STAY CLEAR of Occassions for your bridal needs.
