Harmony Hill Winery is located in a beautiful setting — relaxing with a very welcoming atmosphere not to mention their superb wines. The owners, Bill and Patti, are friendly and accommodating hosts for everyone including large groups and your pets are also welcome. Come out and visit this jewel hidden away in Bethel! Enjoy the award winning wines along with those of us that have been long time customers.

If you want a fun evening listening to great music and drinking superb wine, this is the place to go. Bill and Patti are fantastic hosts and make everyone feel welcome. If you’re into reds, Rubato is my favorite.

After an 8 hour drive to surprise my aunt at her retirement celebration, I was appalled to see my family accosted by the owner of the vineyard. Upon arriving our limo driver did make a uninformed decision to try and navigate the car through the driveway. Once we saw the difficult turns, we were more than happy to exit the vehicle and walk. There were no signs posted regarding the availability to take larger vehicles down a separate drive. The owner came running down(yelling, arms flying, red faced) to the driver and one member of our family who apologized numerous times for the issue upon which all three men shook hands and went on their way. We stayed for an hour or so, spent money in his place(was a large party so he definitely profited from us) and began to make our way out. While we all were getting in the car, the owner literally ran to where we were and began yelling and taking a very aggressive posture against a group of people ranging in age from 45 – 71. He began to holler at one person and demanded to «speak» to my uncle who was already in the limo. The owner’s actions at this point became very nasty and aggressive to the point that I was afraid he was going to hit either my uncle or my father. This«gray haired man», as Pat referred to him, was not a victim, but my gray haired uncle and father were. Every time we tried to turn to leave, the owner approached and continued to bully us. No one, at least on our end, was inebriated. We had been having a nice time visiting the winery, which was beautiful and had wonderful staff, until the end when we were taken aback by his actions and calling the two family patriarchs out of the limo to be verbally attacked. Two other family members had no other choice but to help defend them. As an owner, he has a right to be angry at our limo driver for having to turn around on the grass, but he did not have a right to pursue us as we were leaving. In all my years, I have never been a part or seen such behavior from an establishment. After reading other reviews of Harmony Hills, I see that our family is not the first to be recipients of his rudeness or to be cornered by the him. I would recommend one of the many other beautiful vineyards in the greater Cincinnati area.(I find it interesting that«Pat» and the owner have take down their reviews of us.)

The grounds are simply gorgeous and there are a lot of areas to sit outdoors. Their wines were all very good but we especially liked Rhapsody and Bluegrass, taking home a bottle of each. This is the type of winery we wish we lived closer to as they have a lot of weekend music nights, you can bring your own food and simply purchase a bottle or two while you enjoy the grounds.

Harmony hill is a gorgeous winery. The grounds are beautiful. There isn’t much space inside, but, who cares! The wines tasted great. You can bring your own food and pets. Children used to be allowed until they damaged the property and were mean to the animals. I’d love to visit again, but I have my daughter with me most weekends. We would love to have a picnic there again. The music is wonderful. A picnic with music on a beautiful piece of property with tasty wine… what else could you ask for. Not all children act alike. Banning all of them is like banning all people, not all of them behave, it depends on their upbringing. Just saying…

I am so proud to be from the village of Bethel that is home to, in my opinion, the best winery around! This beautiful sanctuary is tucked out of sight away from the busy roads and is a perfect place to get away and feel like you’re on a vacation. They offer samples of their wine for 50cents and bottles range from $ 13 to $ 18. The desert wines actually might be a little more than that, but I cannot remember. The owner, Bill, will either be behind the counter telling you all about the wine he puts so much care into, or walking throughout the crowed mingling and catching up with his friends(i.e. the customers). At Harmony Hill, you truly become one of the family. They have a stage and dance area to host live music and you will have a BLAST watching the older crowd get a little tipsy and«get down» on the dance floor! If you are going on a night when Anna and Milovna are playing, be prepared to get there by 3PM if you want a seat at their tables/chairs. Otherwise, bring lawn chairs and/or a blanket. Either way, bring plenty of food to snack on and share. Last weekend was the first time they had a food truck on site serving fire-baked pizzas for $ 7. You seriously cannot go wrong with a visit to Harmony Hill. This winery holds a special place in my heart and will be a place I visit every season at least once. You can also reserve it for special occasions; my sister had her bridal shower here and it was the perfect venue.

The outdoor thing with music is pretty neat. Not so keen on the wine.

Emailed them twice and still no response. My husband attended a charity event in mid-September and came home with a bottle of what looks like white wine. The label only lists the charity event with no information about what is inside the bottle. The only reason I know it’s from Harmony Hill is because of the cork that is still inside the unopened bottle. I emailed the address on their website mid-September and again eight days ago providing specific information about the charity event/date on the label asking what kind of wine it is. I’d prefer to know before opening whether it’s a sweet or dry one. Doesn’t seem like too much to ask. Apparently it is.

Will never return. The owner cornered my mother in law inside if the restroom very confrontational questioning why she had not purchased any wine. We had only arrived at 8p and at that time it was 8:30p. The owner was rude and disrespectful. Hopefully others make note to this and refuse to support negative business owners. Of course we left and will never return.

The wine was the only positive experience I had at this winery. The owners lack the appropriate people skills necessary to keep this place open in the future. They are rude, degrading, and have a lot to learn about dealing with the public. I will never darken their pole barn again!

This place was so great. It was a rainy day, so we weren’t brave enough to walk around the vineyards, but hey, it’s a good excuse to make the trip back out there again! Be aware, that this place is mostly outdoors — there are tables inside, but not many, and besides, who wants to sit inside, the outside is gorgeous! I went on the last day that they were open this year, so you’ll have to wait to experience this amazing place until next year. Also, bring your own food — they don’t have any, but you’re welcome to bring whatever you want. There were tons of people there that looked like they set up a tailgate of foods at their tables — there was even one of those pop-up tents! The wine is good. They have six different kinds I believe, and all the grapes are grown at the winery/vineyard. They have a variety from Dry to Sweet. You can go up to their bar and try all six for just $ 0.50 a taste, and they give you a decent portion to try! There’s no shame in pouring the rest out if you don’t like it either — they have the ‘Spit Bucket’ at your disposal(I’ll admit, I had to do it for the sweet ones). I suggest the Rubato, but that’s the beauty of it — you can try them for yourself. Prices aren’t to bad — bottles range from $ 12 to $ 20.

Harmony Hill. Who knew a winery existed in Bethel? I am ashamed that I never knew this place was here! We made the trek out here on Saturday and even though it was rainy, muddy, foggy, humid, and disgusting out we still managed to have the time of our lives! The winery is broken up into comfy sections of seating with umbrella’s and cute little barrel tables. They had booked one of the best bands I have ever seen in my life which totally added to the ambiance. And the wine… oh my lord! Each sample was only .50 cents to try. They had around 5 – 6 different options at the time. I did the full tasting and I was expecting super sweet Ohio grapes and really there were only two I wouldn’t drink. We each took turns buying a bottle. They ranged from $ 12-$ 18 with no corking fee which is a steal! Between the five of us we probably sat and had 5 bottles throughout the night. Word to the wise: BRINGFOOD. Some people had stuff that looked like a full on catering gig here. Others purchased small cheese trays. I can’t think of a better way to spend the weekend. Sad part is this was their last weekend of the year they are open. Next season, I will be the first in line! Cheers to an awesome night!

Love this place! The grounds of the winery are lovely & the owners encourage people to explore them. Pack a picnic, bring a blanket & your doggy. They are very dog friendly & also have live music on Friday & Saturdays in the summer. I really enjoy their Rhapsody, Rubato(not to be confused w/Mr. Roboto ;-)), and Refrain. Their dessert wines are also nice.

We went to Harmony Hill on a steamy Saturday evening for a bachlorette to-do. I didn’t know what to expect, but have visited a few local and regional vineyards and love the whole agro-tourism thing, so I was excited and went in with an open mind, regardless. We had the option of the tasting, and because there were quite a few in attendance, the owner suggested that we take up some tables inside the tasting room and he would come to us. Really nice! The wine: My mil, my sil and I decided to forego the wine tasting, and simply order 2 bottles. We all like white, so we ordered the Concerto and another dryer white, like a Savignon Blanc who’s name totally escapes me, but that could be because we had 2 bottles of wine. Started with an «M» I liked them both, equally – the Concerto was a bit sweet, but not syrupy, like a dessert wine. Had nice floral notes. The dryer white was also good – nice mineral finish. They were far better than any Elk Creek(a Northern Kentucky winery) selection, and I loved the simplicity of the tasting room. It’s more than just a pole barn, but yes, it is simple. Since we were eating at another establishment, the bride to be’s sisters brought appetizers and I saw lots of other people with picnic hampers, sitting around, watching live music. The live music was really nice! My husband is a longtime performer and local singer/songwriter, so I’ve seen just about everything, from marginal to fabulous and everthing in between. People appeared to be enjoying themselves. The grounds: gorgeous! Well landscaped, lots of color and beautiful little private spaces for a blanket supper. There are donkeys and there are dogs – in fact, the business is very dog friendly. We saw lots of dogs that night, on leads and it wasn’t chaotic – in fact, it lended to the relaxed, laid back, happy atmosphere just a little more. There was even a pet adoption van allowed to set up in the back of the property and I thought that rocked. We had a great time, and I thought, that if I lived out this far, this would be a great destination place on a weekend, and certainly a cheap date – $ 13.00 for a bottle of wine, free entertainment(though, please, DO tip the musicians!!) and a picnic supper. Awesome. Exactly the way I’d want to spend a relaxing spring, Summer or Autumn evening with my man – but I also saw families, too, so this is a good time for all ages.

I agree completely with Marshall, except they add up to 4 stars for me. The wine is unusually good, especially given it’s price point and the fact it’s an Ohio wine. Their secret is they they use grapes that do best in Ohio soil and climate. I’m not a wine expert, but I’m not a novice either, and I had never heard of some of the grapes they use. Many local wineries will use chardonnay, merlot, etc, simply because people are more likely to try a wine they’ve heard of. Unfortunately, those grapes make really awful wines when they’re grown in Ohio. You can sample any of their wines before you buy a bottle, I recommend trying them all! I also prefer my own cooking to anything the other wineries around here have to offer, so I’m extremely attracted to the idea of a bring your own picnic style dinner with live music and a great bottle of wine in a very social, outdoor setting. The music has been hit or miss, but as their reputation grows, so does the talent level of the musicians playing there. And again, the wine. an absolutely killer bottle of vintage red at the price a restaurant would charge for a bottle of Barefoot — winner!

Facility review: The tasting room is a no-frills pole barn with a bar. You get a souvenir tasting glass. Bring a picnic. The only food for sale is a cheese tray that can be had at the Kroger store you passed on the way in. The live music got better the more we drank. Very laid back, chill worthy time. Harmony Hill has the only wine cave in the state, which they are more than willing to let you tour«as long as it’s not too hot or humid outside.» Dude’s a little paranoid about temperature fluctuations. Wine review: The white wines are really, really good at their price point. Really good.
