Westlake Ace Hardware

I ran in here on Saturday to find a battery for my grandmother’s garage door opener. Because it was held closed with the tiniest screw ever, I found an employee to help me find the right battery, open the case, and make sure the battery was really the problem.
This Ace was also about a three miles closer than the closest Lowes/​Home Depot, and in only had to wait about 2 minutes to find someone to help me. There were about five people helping weekend warriors around the store, which meant a ratio of about two customers for every one employee; at the aforementioned bigger stores I estimate this ratio looks a lot more like a public elementary school classroom.
So, hat tip to Michael for helping me figure out what we needed to do to get Mamaw’s garage door opener back in the game, and for being nice, capable and efficient. When in this part of town, this Ace is aces!

I grew up in the age of the small town hardware store and at least in Bethany all we have left is Ace. It’s got a little of everything and the price is comparable to the big home improvement stores of you’re looking to grab s can of paint or some nails or bolts quickly. Personally I like this store because they seem to have more help on hand and be friendlier.
