We don’t typically stay in a Super 8, but considering the reviews were better than Comfort Inn, we took a shot. Frankly, I nor my sister were disappointed at all, but my brother and dad were — hence the 4 stars. My brother likes to stay in the hotels with pools like this one. This pool according to him and my dad, however, was too cold and the spa was too hot. The floor was also too slippery for them. My brother also thought it was«boring.» So other than that everything was good. One more thing I will say though — the trash outside the back door smelled incredibly horrible and hated having to walk by it to get to our car and while packing up the car. It reeked. Bottom line: Would I stay again? I would. My brother might think differently: p

One of the nieces Super 8 we have ever stayed. Staff super nice and friendly. Had a great shay!

Inviting lobby(by Motel 8 standards), but carpet badly in need of vacuuming. Rooms clean, but not quiet: I could hear every conversation in the hall, including people laughing and talking until midnight, the motel fire alarm that went off at 4:45AM, a smoke alarm in an individual room that reportedly went off for two hours(I didn’t hear this, but was told about it), and, finally, a husband and wife who, at 7AM, were shouting to each other down the hall about their travel plans. The duty manager to whom I complained –a middle-aged obese woman who looked like the type whose life revolves around one or more miniature yapping dogs– was indifferent(neither apologetic nor sympathetic).

Nice and clean. Room smelled nice. Staff was friendly. They even moved some reserved rooms around so we could have a ground floor room. Very important since I have to carry in dad’s 70 pound oxygen concentrator. After a long day on the highway, the hot tub was a welcome surprise. I sat there and let the hot water and bubbles do their magic! Breakfast was slightly below expectations as they do not have the waffle iron that most Super 8’s have. No biggie. I would gladly trade a nice crispy hot waffle for a nice bubbly hot tub.

Consistently friendly and pleasant over many stays. Little here is fancy, but everything is adequate, clean and well-functioning. They have kept the front desk open late when my flights into Kansas City or Des Moines were delayed; much appreciated! The free breakfast isn’t anything to get excited about, and was something I usually skipped. Free WiFi, outstanding service and its proximity to I-35 take this Super 8 a notch(or two) above my typical experiences with this chain.

Nice motel, right by I-35. They provide breakfast(yet to be sampled), and the wireless internet works well. The room, carpets, towels, etc. are all fresh and clean, the furniture is in good condition, and the air conditioner is very effective — perhaps too much so. I turned it off first thing. I’m not sure how people measure price ranges for motels, but the rate they quoted me when I walked in the door was $ 60 per night.

Very clean motel, still looks brand new even though I was told it was built 15 years ago. Everything works, the lobby was nicely decorated for the holiday season, the room smelled clean, all the staff spoke clear English, fair price. Only down side is the breakfast was a bit skimpy: Toast, muffins, cereal, juice. I’d definitely stay here again next time I’m passing through.
