Eagles Nest Restaurant

Stopped by for breakfast for the first time today. Everything thing was great and fresh. The best ham I’ve had at a restaurant in ages. Great taste and thick enough that it does not resemble shoe leather when grilled. Stop by for a very satisfying breakfast.

I ate here once, a long time ago, and was not really impressed, but now I think it was just them having a bad day. Or maybe time has improved things.
The past two weekends, my wife and daughter wanted donuts from a little place right by Eagle’s Nest. I don’t do donuts, so the first time around, I stopped in Eagle’s and ordered a skillet meal to go, went down, got the donuts and when I got back they had me ready.
Fast, friendly, and efficient… and priced right
When I got home and opened the box it was exactly what I wanted, and way more food than I expected.
So this past weekend, I decided to give it another shot, same results… the food was really good, done just the way I wanted, and almost more than I could eat in one sitting.
New regular stop for me from now on.
UPDATE: I just realized it’s been almost 2 years since I posted the above… we’re now in the Nest at least a couple of times a month for breakfast (or breakfast for dinner on the rare occasion) had to bump up the rating from 4 to 5. you won’t find a better spot for breakfast without driving to Gramma’s house.

This is a pretty decent place. I shoot in a pistol league at Olin and we stop by almost every tuesday for dinner afterwards. This isnt a michelin start rated place and it certainly doesnt serve fancy pretentious food. What it does do is burgers, fries, fried food, breakfast food, and American classics the right way, and at a decent price. Everthing from meatloaf and roast beef to fried shrimp omelets. You cant go wrong and your wont break the bank. I personally order the fried shrimp dinner with a side salad and french fries. I never finish it all and I am a big fella. Thats a 7.50 dinner, unbelievable.

This is your typical run of the mill breakfast restaurant. The food is nothing special, but if you don’t feel like driving to ihop, this is a decent second choice.

I like it here. Fast Service and they are friendly. Its really packed with an older crowd, Especially on Sundays. But if you don’t mind, its a good place to grab some food.
Try the Turkey Club sandwich. YUM!
