Captain D’s Seafood Restaurants

I have visited this location a few times over the years. It has never been spectacular. However, the last time I visited will be the last time I ever set foot in there. My husband and I stopped in about 4:30 on a Saturday. The place was busy, but not slammed. The staff was in chaos. We placed our order and sat at what seemed to be the only clean table left. The dining room was in severe need of attention. We then waited. Ten minutes passed, and our ticket had not been called. My husband went to the counter and politely asked the cashier to check on our order, that is once he got the boy’s attention. The kid apologized, said it was almost ready, and he would bring it to us when it came up.
So, back at the table, we waited some more. Another 10 minutes pass. My husband goes back to the counter and gets a lady’s attention. He asks to speak to the manager. She stated she was the manager. So, he asked where our food was after 20 minutes. She checked the time on his receipt and looked at her watch. She very unprofessionally yelled through the window at the cook to (paraphrased) get his rear in gear. He called back 3 minutes. At that point, my husband requested our money back. The «manager» said she couldn’t do that because she was the dining room manager and not the shift manager. My husband requested to speak with the shift manager. The lady went to the kitchen door and yelled for another lady. She then returned to my husband and said the shift manager didn’t have time to come up front. At that point, my husband lost his cool and started yelling that we had been waiting for 25 minutes and wanted our money back, so whomever needed to run the refund needed to make the time to come up front. The shift manager stormed out of the kitchen, told my husband that there was no need for him to raise his voice, and gave him our money back.
I called the supervisor’s number that was listed on the receipt. He never called me back. I also called the corporate customer 800 line and complained to them. I got coupons for free food that I used at a different location.
