Pizzagalli the Family

My favorite pizza in the Charlotte, Gastonia area. I wish they had an online menu but it doesn’t take that long to get your order. I am from Rochester, ny. We re used to a medium thick crust. Not New York thin nor deep dish thick. I think this is perfect. This pizza has all fresh toppings and good sauce. The cheese is just right not drowning but enough that you don’t wonder where it is.
They have a great deal for lunch. All the pizza and salad bar you can eat for about $ 6.00. Until 2:00. Closes at 2:00 so you can’t get any thing after 2 until they open for dinner

The first problem I had is the fact they have no website, and no online menu. I took a risk because of the reviews on here and was not impressed. When people say a lot of cheese I didn’t understand the amount of cheese they were talking about. The amount of cheese they have on this pizza makes it no longer a pizza. The cheese was so much that my youngest almost choked. Now the fact that they have no web presents or any way of getting a menu online is bad but they have no menus onsite either. I have no idea how they are still business.

Pizza Galli always delivers the best pizza I’ve ever had. They’re generous with cheese, the crust is *just* right.
I ordered chicken ranch, he ordered buffalo chicken pizza. The medium was more than enough for one person and if we hadn’t wanted different flavors we could have easily shared.
They’re kinda pricey but worth it. Definitely. Worth. It.
It’s not *that* far of a drive into Besssmer City, so you don’t have to worry overmuch about a hillbilly atmosphere. You will see the football team and local old folks chatting and walking around. Everyone is really friendly and the service is great, if you decide to dine in. Which I suggest you do.
Disclaimer: I LOVE cheese. My boyfriend said it was a little overwhelming, but he deserves his own disclaimer as the only person I’ve ever known who would want less cheese.

Pizzagalli is one of those little treasures you find sometimes in a small town. Friendly owners and employees who actually care that their food and service are good. Their lunch and Wed. night buffets are a welcome treat, which I have helped myself to more often than I should admit.
The crust is nice and chewy, like pizza should be, and their sauce is decent. They generously top your pizza, so you will never be disappointed that the toppings were skimpy.
I am a fan, but I just can’t go 5 stars because of the sticky plastic table cloths and being closed on Monday… I get it, they want a 2 day weekend, but I like pizza on Monday too. Sunday, I actually give them points for closing.
