Pierre Bakery’s Atomic Cake was brought in our office for a birthday celebration. Their version is topped with whipped cream and glazed whole strawberries on top rather in the filling. The chocolate filling had a fluffy texture, which contrasted with the pudding like banana filling. The cake was a medium dense yellow cake with browned edges — I’m not sure whether this was purposely done or simply sat in the oven for too long. Still, everything blended together well. This cake is significantly less sweet, which I liked better, but it really comes down to personal preference. It’s a nice upgrade from the bakery section at the grocery store!

We had their Oreo cake at a friend’s birthday and loved it, so the next party we had we ordered one. When I went to pick up the cake they said they didn’t have any record of my order, when I gave then my receipt they came back 10 minutes later with a cake, so a little annoying but ok. Tried again this weekend. Went in, pre ordered and pre paid for an Oreo cake, picked it up– turns out it was just a chocolate cake… cake was ok but for $ 75 I’m pissed because it’s NOT what I ordered. If I wanted a plain chocolate cake I could have got one equally as good for a fraction of the price. All the other pastries are gross, dry and lacking flavor. Too bad they can’t even get the one thing they do well right.

I’ve been coming to this bakery for about 15 years… great little cake cups to buy on the go! I’ve never been that enthusiastic about Mexican pastires and breads(grew up on strudel and potica), but I think their Tres Leches is phenomenal… so is their gelato. I love their variety of fruits for their tortes and cakes — I’ve ordered strawberries in chocolate cake, topped with chocolate covered strawberries(yum!), as well as strawberry with kiwi, strawberry with mango and strawberry with peach in yellow cake… sometimes topped with a variety of fruits… really delicious!

Yellow cake with whipped frosting and fresh strawberry filling. Serves 20 people. $ 40 and something cents. The filling included jelly and the whole strawberries on top had jelly on it too. The cake was too sweet, but if there wasn’t any strawberry filling, I’m sure it would take down that unnecessary amount of sugar. I’m sure that there is a legit reason for this, but Vietnamese cakes don’t have that and they’re perfect. I also asked if I could free the cake for 8 hours since they will be closed by the time I get out of work. The lady on the phone said I could, but never mentioned how long I should thaw it for. I had the cake thawed for 2 hours and the filling was a tad icy. Next time, I will know to let it thaw for 3 – 4 hours before serving. All in all, I still have to give them 5 stars. This is a much better bakery that accommodates French style cakes.

I bought chocolate-covered strawberries which we really good. Pricey at $ 2.50 each, but I bought six, and they threw in three for free. Also bought caramel and peanut-covered green Granny Smith apples, although they couldn’t slice them for me. Their mini-red velvet cupcakes weren’t that good since they didn’t have that strong special red velvet flavor. They have huge tres leches sheet cakes for like $ 40; the smaller ones you have to pre-order. Their Mexican pan dulce looks really good. They also have in-store made gelato in what looks like inventive flavors(maybe a mango chile?). Really nice folks that speak both Spanish and English.

Although their cakes are absolutely pretty, I expect stellar service(after all, it’s part of the price, right?). I walked in and bought a cake that I WASTOLD was a tiramisu cake-exactly what I was looking for. It looked like tiramisu. The lady from behind the counter even took the cake(she wasn’t sure at first) to the back to «confirm» that it was tiramisu. She came back and confirmed that it was and so I bought it. When we cute the cake for my father’s birthday celebration, you can imagine how livid I was when I saw that the cake was yellow with raspberry! If I’m paying $ 45 for a cake, I expect them to know what they’re selling. Poor service, cakes aren’t even that tasty. Don’t waste your money.

Hands down best brownies ever. Also their gelatos are delicious especially the strawberry. Have not ordered a cake from them yet, but everything I have tried has been very good so far. I try to go there at least once a week. I’ve lived in the area a short time and tried a few bakeries before Pierre’s and once I found Pierre’s it has become«the» bakery I will go to.

I never met a bakery I didn’t like, and the same goes for this place. Add a little monthly hormonal influence craving and you’ve got an A-OK rating. Their pastries come in sizes bigger and biggest. I didn’t see as much diversity as I would’ve liked in the ingredients, but the gelato bar makes up for it.

I bought 2 birthday cakes here before, and they were good. I bought the atomic cakes with the chocolate cover strawberries on top. I thought all the other bakery items are just ok.
