I was eating there(August 2, 2014), and they were playing explicit versions of rap songs on their speakers. May not be like this every day, but if you have children this might not be the best place for a family meal.

The food is ok but you really come here for the customer service. If standing at the counter of a fast food restaurant waiting for an employee to take your order is your idea of fun, this is the place for you!

Before you PM me with a diatribe of how evil KFC is and how they genetically modify their chickens and how Pamela Anderson and other celebs are on a campaign against KFC(b/c you know, Pam Anderson is a natural beauty and not enhanced in any way shape or form), I only go to this KFC for one reason and one reason alone: their coleslaw. And last I heard, KFC treats their cabbages and carrots fairly and equitably. Fact: I can eat a large coleslaw in one sitting. Fact: KFC coleslaw is far superior to Popeye’s. Fact: KFC coleslaw is mostly mayonnaise and sugar, which is why I like it so much. Fact: after picking up 22 pieces of chicken, dirty rice, and a dozen biscuits from Popeye’s, I swing by this KFC and pickup a large coleslaw or two. And no, all that food isn’t all for me… maybe… Food — every now and then, I crave the Colonel’s secret recipe. The pieces are smaller at KFC than Popeye’s and the breasts tend to be dry, even when freshly fried. I’ve also gotten the grilled chicken sandwiches on several occasions and they are hit or miss. When they’re good, they’re some of the best chicken sandwiches you can get for under $ 4. When they’re bad, you’d think they sundried the chicken. The corn on the cob is also amazingly good, not to mention scaldingly hot. The mashed potatoes & gravy aren’t very good, but I do enjoy the wedge potatoes. The honey BBQ sauce and honey mustard sauce are great. Location — a standalone KFC, which seems rare these days since KFC/Taco Bells are the norm. Service — the drive thru moves fairly quickly during peak hours. 3 stars just for the slaw? Yup! It’s that good.
