I have been shopping here for many years. While I am not a Vegan or Vegetarian, I still like to eat healthy as I can. This place has all the goods for a healthy lifestyle and a wide selection as well.

L.R.stated Apple Valley sells products with meat and animal products. The only products with meat are pet food. I noticed even the baby food is meat free. They do have vegetarian products which of course are dairy based. You can not even buy a can of tuna fish in this store. This store is a vegan’s dream. It is associated with the Seventh Day Adventist, but they do not try and convert anyone or judge. The employees are very sweet, informed and friendly. I am not into religion at all but I did appreciate the fact that their Jesus books for children promoted kindness to animals.

This store is quite amazing for being in the middle of the midwest. There are no really big full service health food stores in Michiana except this one and it is so nice. I hope you get a chance to visit this store. It is stocked full of colorful, delicious produce, health foods, bakery goods, frozen foods and a wonderful deli :) A top ten go to by my way of thinking!

A vegetarian’s paradise. While Apple Valley sells products with meat and animal ingredients, it is also a wonderful place to get vegetarian meat or analogs. They have a deli as well. Today we picked up some rice pudding made with coconut milk. Delicious. The prices are reasonable — at least better than in my local grocery store. The people who work there are very friendly and knowledgeable. I spend hours here and because my family eats most vegetarian, it is a Godsend to have such fabulous choices. Today, I picked up a vegan potato salad and vegetarian chicken salad-both quite delicious. There is no meat counter. Attached is a health food store with everything you can imagine. I make the 1−½ hour trip just to go there and for me, it’s absolutely worth it. ** I stand corrected on the meat issue. For the longest time, I thought the stuff in the freezers was meat, it’s actually faux meat. On my last trip there, I checked the stock out in the freezer a little better and I realized I was wrong. Even the shelves of Campbells soup were soups that were meatless. I’d shy away from the café, but the supermarket is wonderful.
