Bernville’s Mane Attraction

This is the world’s worst salon. Bernville is a small town. Everyone knows everyone. There aren’t many local businesses. This is the only local hair salon that I knew of growing up. It’s in a «bustling» part of town — right next to Boyers Grocery store and the Nosegay Florist. Because of this, all throughout my growing up years, my mom took my sister and I to the Mane Attraction. When my older sister got married, my mom got us up dos at Bernville’s Mane attraction.
I cannot tell you how many TERRIBLE haircuts and up dos I’ve seen come out of this place, including my own. The stylists are stuck in decades past. They honestly shouldn’t even offer up dos because they have no clue how to appropriately style hair. I got high lights here a few times while in junior high or high school. I’m a brunette with very dark brown hair. After one of the times I went in for high lights, my hair was almost entirely blonde. I had a friend’s sister fix it for me because I was so embarrassed.
On another occasion, I asked to have my hair layered with a lot of layers. The layers started so close to the top of my head, it looked completely ridiculous. I had to style my hair in a certain way for well over 6 months until it grew back to avoid looking like a complete moron.
Never again. Drive to Wyomissing, get your hair done by a real stylist, and pay more. Just do it. You won’t regret it.
