i came to dr. lekht at the recommendation of a coworker, and i could not be happier with the outcome of my visit. if i could find a general dentist with her level of skill and care, i’d be set for life. seriously, i panic at the thought of dental procedures– but i didn’t shed a single tear at any of my 3 appointments with dr. lekht. that’s a miracle in itself! there’s a good reason she’s been on NJ’s top dentists list.
my story–
after a traumatic root canal experience at an unaffiliated practice, i was left with a painful tooth and a ton of skepticism about repeating the procedure. in short: the prior endodontist had not only left a piece of a tool sitting in my root, but she had also not completed the root canal– causing me constant discomfort. the experience was traumatizing– multiple numbing shots and lack of care. the dentist in charge of that practice had told me to just get the tooth pulled. i’m not a fan of permanently removing a tooth that i kinda sorta need just because someone messed up and doesn’t want to fix it. at a coworker’s recommendation, i went to dr. lekht for a second opinion. making an appointment was a breeze– even on a saturday, and the woman at the front desk was very nice. she took care of calling my insurance co and letting me know all costs up front– there were no surprises. the office is small, quiet, and easy to miss if you’re driving by. there is plenty of parking.
my consult and two root canal appointments (one to remove the root canal work that had previously been done, and one to re-​do the actual root canal) were great. the atmosphere in the room was calm, each procedure only involved one numbing shot!, and the assistant was great too. after my previous experience, i was in disbelief at how calm and relatively painless the entire process should be. to make things even better, dr. lekht was able to remove the piece of tool left in my root, and was able to complete the root canal properly– resulting in mo more pain for me!
even after my appointments, the staff was great and efficient with mailing/​e-​mailing me my xrays. i really can’t praise nor thank the practice and dr. lekht enough… if i ever need another root canal (which, hopefully, i will not!), i’d travel any distance to come back.
note: i know this sounds like a gushing overly-​positive endorsement for the practice… but if you’ve ever experienced constant tooth pain and horrible dentistry in the past, you know the kind of relief you finally get once the pain is gone and the experience is the exact opposite of horrible. just sayin.
