We went there yesterday it had to be the best massage we have had ever!
Very clean and very well priced for what you get.

I was visiting from Montana and love the higher end tanning boutiques/​salons that one normally has when visiting a higher end area. I was on a time schedule and from the minute I walked in the door the experience was terrible. To begin with the girl at the front counter proceeded to help a client — OVER THE PHONE– while I was standing there. Anyone in customer service knows you always help the customer standing in front of you first. The worst part, is her name tag said Manager. What a joke. I proceeded to ask for the nicest high intensity bed they could offer and paid my $ 22. I was then taken to a room where the bed looked as though it was 15 years old and very narrow. I asked «the manager» how many hours were left and she said 1200. I am a fair blonde and went the whole time to discover I didn’t really get any color. What a disappointment. Don’t waste your time on this business. Yuck. Made my little Montana not seem so terrible any more.

Best massage I’ve ever had! I didn’t want it to ever end!

I’ve been coming to Desert Zen for a number of years, and feel its the best in the valley. The spa is lovely, with tastefully decorated rooms, for facials, massages, and other fabulous treatments. Extremely relaxing salon, also offers great selection of tanning beds, as well as other tanning options. I’m always impressed how spotlessly clean and sanitized the beds are, and every attention to detail it paid. Weez and Nikki are wonderful to work with. Very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. They truly make your visits very enjoyable.

Who knew there was such a full service, class act day spa nestled in Bermuda Dunes? Upon my initial contact with Nicky, my experience was amazing! She was able to get me right in for a 2 hour massage with Jackie. When I came in I was immediately greeted by Nicky and Jackie, I could tell they were prepared for my arrival and excited to see me. The entire place was immaculate and designed for relaxation. There was a warmer with sateen sheets on the treatment table, dim lighting and many natural soothing aromas in the air. Jackie was awesome, friendly, personal and professional! She spoke to me in a calm, relaxing voice, her touch was trained and confident. Her movement through the massage was thought out and fluid, her hands were warm and she never broke contact with my skin unless she needed to adjust the sheets, so she never startled me for any reason. I feel like their prices are competitive and fair. The treatment I received at Desert Zen Spa was well worth the money. I believe in supporting the local, small business owner and I know now that I have the BEST day spa in my own backyard — no need or desire to go anywhere else. It is clear to see the staff here cares about the quality of service they provide as well as the client. Open 7 days a week too. I will definitely recommend DZDS to my friends and family — I simply can’t wait to go back!!!

We had 4 massages — deep tissue, 2 therapeutic and 1 prenatal massage. The staff was friendly, attentive and professional. The rooms were clean, smelled great, had the perfect amount of relaxing light and music and were private (love!). Really like the questions you are asked to answer (one sheet of quick questions) before your massage begins so you get exactly what you want and all your needs are taken care of. Ashley was my prenatal masseur and she was perfect! I am a little sensitive to pressure during pregnancy (one of the questions on your survey) and she made sure not to do too much pressure but just enough! I ended up falling asleep a couple times because I was so relaxed. Place has pretty competitive pricing, but worth every penny! We will definitely be back when we come to town again!

I have been coming to Desert Zen for a few years now. I usually just pay for a monthly membership as needed and go from there. I have left my lotions behind for months at a time only to realize they’re still being held there for me when I come back. The staff is always friendly and the salon is nice and clean. I brought my daughter this past Wednesday for her first spray tan for her Prom and she looked bronzed and beautiful. I highly recommend this salon as they also offer other services.

I was a first time customer at this spa, and my visit was absolutely fantastic. I was in town for only a few days looking for a quick facial and was able to find one just in the nick of time. When I arrived I didn’t expect a whole lot due to the older building appearance. However, don’t judge a book by its cover. Lexi was very sweet and considerate and not to mention very detailed and precise in her work. I get facials regularly, but hers was the most relaxing I’ve received. And boy do they give results. Thank you to the kind staff and ESPECIALLY Lexi for a beautiful, worth every penny, facial :)

I went here twice a few years back when it was under a different name… So today was my first time after they updated.
I really liked my experience. I got a regular tan. There aren’t a lot of places that still provide wipes for when you are done, so that was really nice to see!
The prices seem really great compared to some of the resorts out here, so I’m sure people really like that!
You can get packages for airbrush and UV tanning to save some money, which is nice to see :)

I went here for a Brazilian wax. Overall,
I was satisfied with the service. It was less painful than a lot of other places I’ve been to, and the waxer was super nice. Also, I was able to get an appointment the same day, which was great. The only reason they don’t get 5 stars is because they don’t have a shower, sauna, steam room, etc.

Came in to see if they had any sort of sunless tanning. The lady at the desk was so unbelievably rude!!! They apparently only have custom spray tans, and laughed when I asked if they did mystic. Like it was beneathe them! Could not believe the lack of customer service!

I have been a loyal customer to this place for a couple years, this place offers so much more than any other salon. I’ve had custom airbrush, facial & massages, they even have a really great little bohemian boutique! Wezz and her staff are awesome!

A spray tan on Wednesday for a wedding on Friday… It looked amazing and so natural: like I had been in the sun for weeks. There was no staining of any clothes and the ladies in the salon made me feel so comfortable! Thanks so much!

My friend and I both had facials and foot rubs. Their prices are good to low. My friend had a better experience than me with Mandy — she felt very well taken care of.
My experience was okay, not great. Mostly I think the girl (Amanda? Not sure of name) was just disinterested.
My friend and I both had the signature facials which are the mildest ones you can get at this spa. There was no problem with the facials, although ‘their’ blend of stuff applied to my face didn’t smell fantastic (to me).
I didn’t think the gal who worked on me really was very knowledgeable about massage (shoulders, arms, neck, scalp) as there was nothing special about it and she neglected to massage my scalp and hands which was supposed to be part of the treatment. She also seemed to be wearing inappropriate clothes to work on a customer (fancy boots, sort of dressy clothes), which seemed rather strange to me. That may seem picky but actually someone who is serious about the work they do will wear comfortable appropriate clothes to do their job. I just felt like she wanted to be done and out of there. So, it was an okay experience for me but nothing I would return to. I tipped her well anyway.

I highly recommend Desert Zen Day Spa. The staff is courteous and knowledgeable. The facility is organized and clean. I have gotten spray tans elsewhere and I know first hand that Desert Zen offers the best spray tan in the desert. It’s natural looking and not orange or fake at all. I have also gotten my eyebrows waxed there and they did a great job. I love this place!

I have been a customer of Desert Zen for a couple of years and have never left there unsatisfied. I had the pleasure of having a wonderfully relaxing facial today with Jodi. I plan on having many more in the future. I also tan here. The tanning beds are good quality, ALWAYS clean and there is a wide assortment of tanning lotions. I think what keeps me coming back is the friendly service that Weez (owner) and all the other woman working there provide. If you have not tried this place I highly recommend that you do so. You won’t be sorry… ENJOY!!!

I was hesitant about trying this place out just because I really need a good massage and the price was reasonable I decided what the heck.
Once you get into this day spa you won’t regret it. The staff is very friendly and the services are all the things I Love. Tanning is just the cherry on top they have many other services as well. The massages are great and are a force to reckoned with. they have very skilled massage therapist that know how to give a great massage, no fluff.
Every massage therapist i have tried has been awesome and that is hard to say for most day spas. I was so tired of the hit miss game that I am just sticking to this spa from now on. The prices are reasonable and the massage is well worth every cent. I am so glad I found them.
This is not one of those Day spas that has noisy, smelly things like nails and hair going on. Once inside the room it was very relaxing and because they have music in the head cradle I was able to relax right into my massage. Thank you so much for the awesome experience and I will make sure to tell all my friends.

Make an appointment with Alicia for a GREAT deep tissue massage today; she was excellent!!!
I was looking for a place to get a massage while in the Indio area, and was referred to Alicia from La Quinta Healing Arts on the Go. I found La Quinta Healing Arts on Unilocal,but my schedule would not work out, so the wonderful person referred me to Alicia. She was great. She is attentive, gives just the right amount of pressure, and massages parts of the body (knees, feet) that other massage therapists ignore.
While I would go back to Alicia, the ambiance of the Day Spa leaves MUCH to be desired. You don’t walk into a tranquil spa at all! This place feels more like a small retail shop, with loud music and is really focused on its tanning business. Don’t expect a traditional spa-​like environment. You won’t get that. Also, to be a week ambiance, the massage was more expensive that I would expect. Not sure if the environment is worth $ 100 massage.
If you can ignore the ambiance, and need a massage, go find Alicia! You won’t regret it.
