All around solid doughnuts, with a good variety and an interesting rotation of flavors. A step above your dunkin’ donuts in quality and variety, but still very cheap. Not at the level of your $ 5 doughnuts at some of the more trendy places. Also has good coffee with various seasonal/flavors. TL;DR: Just a doughnut shop keepin’ it real.

The donuts are truly amazing — I have never tasted anything better. The staff is kind, courteous, and welcoming. The interior is warm, but nothing more than average. The only reason they didn’t receive 5 stars in my book is because they lack the equipment and ingredients to make truly good cup of coffee /iced coffee. In my opinion, a smallish latte machine along with more coffee condiments would be good investment for this establishment.

Ok I am a huge fan of the whole donut because it is amazing. I’ve been to «fancy» donut shops that charge over $ 4 for a donut. A donut people! These donuts are cheap, huge, fresh, and delicious. Way better than donuts from dunkin that are stale & bland. When you bite into the donut, you can literally taste how fresh it is. My favorite donut shop by far. And the workers are always kind which is a plus. Just skip the fancy donuts & come here

The Whole Donut reminded me of Dunkin’ Donuts back in the late 80’s/early 90’s before they became super corporate and spreaded like a wildfare across the U.S. Why? Because they just pretty much had donuts and coffee; very simple menu, which I liked. The donuts were HUGE(see my photo) and there were more of a variety. It felt like it was a local hangout because I was there at 11:30 a.m. and there was a group of friendly old men reminiscing and watching Price is Right. Speaking of coffee, there was toasted almond coffee on the menu. I did not try their coffee. Point is, if you need to make a coffee/donut run, come here instead of a DD.

It is fortunate that I almost never crave donuts because the options in Berlin are limited. Today I stopped in the local location of this New England chain and was surprised to find the variety of donuts was very limited. Missing were the few that I enjoy, namely apple fritter, old fashioned and Bavarian crème. I walked away with a pair, raspberry and strawberry. The skimpy fillings were almost tasteless with the only discernible difference being the color. The donuts themselves were pretty decent albeit not quite as fresh as they might have been had they been baked in-house.
