Food is great. Waitresses are all very friendly. I order strange things and they always get everything exactly right. Also, you can’t beat their prices. Their food is better and cheaper then the other area diners too. Win win.

Don’t hold it against them that they shot scenes for the Ben Affleck travesty of a film«Jersey Girl» at The New Berlin Diner. Besides having that one strike against them :-) this place is great. First off, it’s a diner so don’t expect haute cuisine but if you like«diner food» that’s much better than expected, this is your place. Great breakfast, great lunch, tasty dinners and a friendly staff. If you’re in a diner kind of mood… do it!

The breakfast is reasonable. Tried the Belgian waffle and it was pretty good. The egg white omelet didn’t seem very white, but it might have been a mistake with the order. The service was friendly.

Food at Berlin Diner keeps getting better and better. Love the Pa Dutch soup! Friendly, attentive staff. Fair prices, good portions. Never disappoints.

Great food at reasonable prices. The menu contains the usual diner fare– breakfast, sandwiches, burgers, some entrees… Our food came out quickly and to order. The winter blend coffee is really delicious. Their veggie burgers are bland but can be substituted for any burger(with fun toppings) so no complaints on that front.

Ughhh, I wanted so bad to give this place five stars. I really did! The food… Fantastic and on point. The portions… Above the rest, atmosphere, quality of food, couldn’t ask for better. The waitress is what hurt my review. At first, barely got a greeting from her and that was frustrating watching the same woman go around and chat it up with other patrons. Guess we weren’t regulars? My breakfast was fantastic and my daughters BLT was spot on too. Now, onto my wife’s dinner special, Greek lasagna. While she raved about how good it was but cold. So to no avail couldn’t flag down the waitress. Fortunately a gentleman who seemed to be a manager maybe owner came over and took care of it. He gave us great service, offered my coffee refill which I thought the waitress would have noticed the empty cup when she brought our food out earlier. Don’t get me wrong she started to warm up to us at the end but c’mon, how about service with a smile from minute one? The gentleman that helped us out is the reason we will be back. Unfortunately not the waitress. And to top it off when we paid out bill, the girl behind the counter gave us our change and went back to talking to some other waitress next to her. I had to say have a nice night?! Unprofessional. So, please don’t pass this place up because of my bad review of the service. Stop in for a great experience with their food! You will be happy!

We stopped here following a tiring day of taking the kids to Diggerland. A search on Unilocal for nearby places with good reviews yielded this diner. New Jersey is known for its diners, especially in the southern part of it, and even bad diners in this area are still often better than than those found on other areas. I was born in south Jersey, so I may be biased, but I digress… The ambiance is that of the classic diner, packed with locals and early-birders(don’t know if they offer an early bird). Waitress was friendly and competent. Menu offered a few Greek selections(an unwritten requirement for diners, mind you), but not enough for the connoisseur of baklava and hummus. Bread included selections of sweet cheese bread, cinnamon rolls, and corn bread. Nothing short of wonderful, though the amount of cheese was a little on the sparse side. I ordered the veal parm special, complete with cream of chicken soup and pasta along with a Caesar salad. The portion of veal was huge! Though everything else was underwhelming with respect to size. The red sauce was very heavy on the pepper. My dessert was rice pudding. That was probably the most underwhelming part of my meal. It sort of tasted like boxed vanilla pudding with slightly undercooked rice. Still, it was a decent dining experience. My dining companions reported that their meals were very good. I would return again.

I had chopped steak with mushroom gravy and my husband had the meatloaf with the same gravy. They were both delicious and cooked to order. Our waitress informed us that even though it is not listed on the menu, you can always get potatoe salad or fried eggplant, so I got the eggplant and was very pleased. I go here a lot and have never been disappointed. The staff is great too.

Our favorite local diner. Food is consistently delicious, staff is friendly and efficient, owners are on premises. Definitely worth stopping in. If you have to wait on Saturday or Sunday morning, it’s worth it!

The food is excellent and a great value for your money. My husband and I stopped for breakfast last Saturday morning. This was our first time visiting the diner. I ordered the oatmeal special and one egg. Both were prepared perfectly for my tastebuds. My husband ordered the omelet with the potatoes, tomatoes and cheese. This was the best omelet I ever tasted. The diner is small but very pleasant and clean. I would like to give them five stars for the excellent food but decided on four stars because the waitresses were so loud that it was very hard to keep a conversation with my husband. Although the service was excellent but as I said, very loud.

This diner is as classic NJ diner as you can get. Greeted and seated promptly. Waitress was friendly and attentive without hovering. Food was served fast and hot hot hot! I got the spinach & feta omelet(I added mushrooms too) and it was really good. I asked for it well done and that’s how I got it. Homefries were nice and crispy too. Who likes soggy homefries anyway. My mom got cinnamon bun French toast which she wasn’t thrilled with only because the description had her expecting something else. But it tasted good so she says. Well be going back soon.

Came here on a saturday around 1:30p after going to the Berlin flea market. Salty soup, potato salad tasted expired, serving of tuna salad platter was really small. Would not return.

With the exception of the mumbling hostess, we had a great first experience at The New Berlin Diner. Our server was friendly and quick. I ordered the Western Omelet(4 eggs!) plus Hollandaise Sauce(of which the quality of is how I judge all diners!). Delicious! Fresh and yummy. Toast was typical and the huge portion of home fries were browned and crispy to my liking, but not my favorite part of the breakfast by any means. While there we found out that some organization has rated TNBD the number one diner in South Jersey four years running! I can see why. Just wish they served Coca-Cola products!

The challah French toast was exactly the thing for which I was a-hankerin’. Recommended to me by our waitress Loretta, it was perfectly griddled up cinnamon crusty. I had it served with their sausage and plenty of syrup. That really hit the spot. You have the choice of regular French toast or challah– take the challah. The good sweet, eggy bread makes good sweet eggy French toast, of course. It comes with three good slices so I shared some with my rollin’ buddy who shared some of his Irish omlette, which was full of corned beef and fried potatoes. Thumbs up on that concoction too, I say. The New Berlin Diner is really a great little spot and I’m happy that we stopped. We received quick and friendly service, plus The New Berlin’s got real classic diner charm with its abundance of chrome and red vinyl style and servers who are total dolls who suggest challah French Toast by saying, «If you don’t like it you can kick me in the butt… No one’s kicked me in the butt, YET!» You better keep your feets to yaself, because there’s certainly some really good diner eating to be had here.

I was having a craving for a club sandwich, so we decided to go to the closest diner to get one. I was here once before and I liked it so I figured why not go back? We went around 6pm on a Tuesday and got seated right away. Our server came right up to us and got our drink orders and had them back almost immediately. My girlfriend got a BBQ chicken wrap which she said was good. I got a Cajun Chicken and Bacon Club sandwich and it was absolutely amazing. Easily one of the best clubs I’ve ever had. The(grilled) chicken have just enough spices on it to give it a lot of flavor but without being over powering. The fries serving that come with the meals are on the small side, but I didn’t leave hungry. We got cheesecake for dessert, but it wasn’t anything special. $ 2.99 for a slice and they add chocolate syrup and whipped cream for free. The bill for 2 came to $ 25, so totally reasonable for a diner. After reading reviews about breakfast, I’ll definitely be back for that.

Greatest French toast. EVER. You can never go wrong with breakfast at a diner, but this place offers some AWESOME platters as well. I typically don’t think of this establishment as a diner because it isn’t open 24 hours a day. The food, however, is very much that of a diner … a very good diner. Portions are huge and made to order. Prices are extremely reasonable. The staff knows regulars and frequent diners such as myself. They have a Facebook page and post their specials and soups everyday. They also advertise baked items for sale/preorder for holidays.
