Really nice place to take a daily walk or run if you’re a local. In the winter, the 2 mile loop is usually plowed and/or there’s been enough traffic to make it walkable. The only downfall is the vast amount of dog waste owners refuse to pick up as well as the abundance of dogs who are not on leashes and are not well trained.

This is a great place to walk/mountain bike/run on a daily basis. I’ve seen some cross country skiing done here in the winter too. The trails are super easy. I would not drive from far away to visit but if you live in Berlin or a nearby town, check it out! The only negative thing about Gates is that many people bring untrained/poorly trained dogs here and do not keep them on a leash. So if you’re running, jogging or biking, be prepared for random dogs jumping on you!

Great local gem for walking and bike riding. The pond is a reservoir for the town of Hudson, so no swimming, just plenty of natural beauty seen by the 2 mile path that surrounds it. Access it from Taylor Road, off Rt. 62 in Hudson. Parking is limited. I’d consider it parking«in the rough.»
