This review is long overdue but years ago they sold a board of mine in their snowboard swap. The only reason I even got anything back from my board is because I went in to pick it up. They told me it sold months earlier and had no explination as to why I wasn’t called, I don’t think they planned on calling me at all. Originally I was offered cash if it were to sell and they refused to give me anything more than a stupid gift card.

The best selection I know of DHMTB in southern CT. They also have dirt jump and BMX bikes here if you’re knees can handle it. Not a ton of clothing or accessories, but enough for one stop shopping if you are new to the sport. Mostly bikes and racks. I have terrible board balance, so I never got into skateboarding or snowboarding. I can’t review the selection of board sports since I know nothing about them. During summer, the shop is roughly half board sports. During winter, I am MIA here as I freeski. –1 star for employees who use the shop to hang out rather then help the customers. Employees at this shop sometimes have this«too cool for you» vibe which could be intimidating if you are new to the sport.

Awesome Awesome Awesome is the only words I could think of that describe cutting edge! They have the best service out there and the owner is the nicest guy in the world! He was willing to work with me and figure out how I was going to pay for my new bike! He even offered me extra time if I need it! This is by far the best mountain bike shop in all of CT. Don’t bother going to bikers edge and their awful service, just drive right by and go to Cutting Edge! It’s worth it!

Over the years I’ve bought lots of snow & skate items from Cutting Edge to feed my addiction. They focus on what they know best. They are not a ski shop that happens to sell snowboards. On one occasion they suggested I select a binding that I thought would be on the small size for my boot. But my gut said«trust them». I realized as soon as I hit the snow that they were right. The fit was exactly what I needed for the added heel hold and control required to properly shred. These folks know their stuff.

Excellent service. Knowledgeable staff. Very good selection. They worked with my son on a really good package to replace a stolen snowboard.

I’m going to try to make a long story short. Craig, the owner, is a great guy. Exemplary service, great attitude, cool(yet still helpful) staff, can’t tell you about his prices… didn’t bother to check to what he charged us after the treatment we received, in other words, well worth it! Let’s just say he stayed open late to hook three guys up with brand new boards, boots and bindings, FORRENTALS. He also adjusted the boards for three different riders of varying skill levels… all after their typical closing time. If the opportunity should ever arise again to patronize Cutting Edge then I will gladly spend some money on this standout small business. To Craig: Thom… will live.
