Went there at 945 place closes at 10 told me they already shut the grill off and wouldn’t let me in the kid was a douche, and if you’re open till 10 you shouldn’t shut your grills down until 10 I will never go to tubbys on Coolidge Rd again, I would give you 0 stars but it wouldn’t allow me

In the last week my boyfriend and I have eaten here separately and both had our credit card numbers stolen. Avoid the Tubby’s in berkley!

Food itself is not ALL bad, but the service is lacking. I pulled up to order, asked if they had roast beef subs, person could not hear, I asked again, more clearly… response was no, we don’t have GRILLEDCHEESE… again, I say ROASTBEEF… was then asked to come to the window because he could not hear. Server was polite, but seemed not to care about a thing. They had no roast beef, so got turkey and cheese, which was ok, but a lot of the dressing was all over the bun, very sloppy to eat. They work in a pinch, but I will go elsewhere next time

The food isn’t bad, it is exactly what you’d expect from a Tubbys but my god does the drive through take a impossibly long time. Today was the 3rd time I’ve had to pull out of their drive through after sitting over 15 minutes waiting. I understand that it may take a bit longer than your average drive through but when you try three times in a row and each time you’re the second car in line and you wait over 15 minutes without the car in front even moving I feel that is a bit too long. I hope they work on this issue, as I’d love a Tubby’s local but with a wait like that it just makes it too inconvenient of a stop for a quick lunch or on the way home from work.

These people are useless. Food is garbage, employees are absolutely horrid. I bought something, they called and told me they decided they weren’t delivering today. Horrible! Go to subway.

I had positive experiences here in the past, but after today, I will not be back. 5 min wait to order, despite there being no line, 15 min wait for my food, no sign of the sucker promised to my child who then was in tears, and stale bread on my sandwich that was nearly impossible to bite through. Not impressed.

I would like it more if when ever I called for delivery the person asked if I want pick up or delivery and I say delivery then they take my order they could just tell me before I order instead of after that in order or deliver my food I gotta wait till a later time to order cause delivery guy is late or coming in later also tell a person when delivery cut off time is sometimes you guys say it’s at 6 pm sometimes it’s a 3 pm sometimes delivery doesn’t start till 3 or 6 pm how am I suppose to order your food if you dot know what te heck your doing

Subs barely had any meat or veggies inside. Staff was immature. Worst Tubby’s that I’ve ever been to. Try the one on 14 mile and Rochester instead.

Their food is great but their service is horrible. Every single time, they serve people out of order which is unfair. For example, you could be waiting 20 minutes then a guy will come in and order the same thing as you but get his in 5 minutes leaving you waiting 25 minutes still with no food. It looked like they just grabbed whatever order was closest to them. I avoid coming here because every time I have been let down. Seriously, I have waited 30 minutes multiple times for a simple tubbys famous. Not to mention, they are very expensive. Go to subway or another tubbys.

Great place in Detroit to get a great hot sub. My boyfriend hadn’t been here for at least 10 years, and we drove by one and he about had a heart attack! So later the next day we stopped by and got a few subs. I wasn’t sure what to order, and it been so long since he went there he wasn’t sure what he even used to get. He ended up getting a Steak and Mushroom, and I got the Philly Cheesesteak. We both got the combos for like $ 2 more than the sub itself, and the fries weren’t so good they were kinda soggyish. But the Better Maid BBQ chips were the bomb. Would definitely go again. No questions asked.

I go to this Tubbys regularly and the owners are Awesome(Paul, Marlon, and Shaun). Funny, friendly, and very respectful. Not to mention they make the best sub you’ll probably ever eat(regardless of steak, chicken, deli, etc). I saw a couple average ratings here and thought I had to back my guys up. This is one of my favorite places to eat! Hands down! I literally eat something different everyday and it’s always somehow better than the previous one. Bravo so happy there here now.

Michigan’s record breaking winter also broke a record in my house for number of times we turned to takeout or carryout, rather than cook. My beau insists we need to occasionally go out for the«necessity» of food. Why should I leave my blanket-laced den for any reason short of a Nordstrom Rack 75% off sale when, in this modern day and age, the minions of fast food can come to me? Let them trudge through the fourteen inches of snow on the lawn and fourteen inch deep potholes peppered all over local roads like craters on a teen’s face. But occasionally we resorted to drive-through alternatives, and enter Tubby’s Submarines. I confess very little experience with this chain prior to its arrival in Berkley, but on the plus side, a drive-through serving up sandwiches on our commute home casts a powerful spell. I was pleasantly surprised by the array of sandwich offerings, which run from grilled chicken to steak, with requisite accompaniments of cheese, vegetables, and plenty of sauces. Tubby’s falls into the toasted and grilled side of the spectrum formerly ruled by Quiznos, and not a direct opponent to Subway. On a snowy bitter day, after a grueling attempt to get 3 miles from I-75 to 11 Mile, let me tell you how beguiling a toasty sandwich is. Better still, the convenient proximity makes it possible to dine like kings at my own dinner table with a still warm sandwich of a cold, soggy bun-sword. If you need, however, you can descend to dine like the peasants do in the parking lot. No judgment. Really. Tubby’s Submarines moved into a long vacant Taco Bell. As soon as the sign went up, I’m sure Berkley High School took a collective breath… and held it for months until they finally opened. They put together a sandwich quickly and to spec. Sleeves wrapped around each include exactly what you ordered on a checklist, an appealing feature during tax season, or for fighting over who really ordered the chicken parmesan 8″ on wheat. All around good. I’m not too fond of the French fry sides the man keeps coming home with, because they are quite tasty and a little too addictive. But all in all, a welcome bit of fast food to the location.
