Don’t get pizza next time… Now that I have your attention, the pizza is great. But the non pizza items are underrated!!! We got lasagna & a amici special sandwich with a salad. The lasagna was very fresh and you can tell it was homemade. It was not over sauced or covered in mounds of cheese. It was perfectly layered and perfectly cooked! The amici special has ham, turkey, lettuce, tomato, and the amici sauce on the house bread. The meat was stacked nicely and the bread was soft and chewy. The size is enough to split or have on your own if your very hungry! We will be ordering this again! :)

Fantastic pizza options and the taste is unmatched. Large chopped veggies and fresh toppings will raise the bar on what you’ll expect out of your pizza. If you’re one who doesn’t like to be up next to other people– ask for carry out. The dining area is extremely small and during peak hours– you’re raising your voice to be heard at the table.

Very good pizza. Had roasted red pepper and feta. Nice patio to hang out with a Short’s beer and a quality pie. Will come again!

As others have said in reviews, ingredients are extremely fresh. Their patio in the summertime is an ideal and romantic date spot. Food never disappoints, service is always friendly and prompt. Have been there at least 10 times. I’m lactose intolerant so I really appreciate the cheese alternatives on the menu. Drinks are great, can’t go wrong!

I quite enjoyed my night at Amici’s Pizza and Living Room! It was a warm and pleasant evening, and we waited, almost an hour, to sit outside on their patio. This was almost ruined by the two tables that surrounded us and their wailing progeny. :-/but they were gone in a jiff, and all was restored to niceness. The service was a tad lacking, but for the most part, we didn’t do any heavy waiting once we were sat. My friend and I split a salad and pizza as well as lasagna. All were really good. It was just what I needed for a night out! I’d go back in a heart beat. They have some great martini’s and cocktails!

I just moved to the area, so trying all the new food choices. Amici’s hit a definite home run for me. Their homemade garlic Romano dressing is my new addiction. The pizzas are great — I was at dinner with a vegan, vegetarian, and a meat eater and we were all satisfied to a T! I love the bar menu is bigger than the food menu. The meat lasagna is fantastic — big chunks of fresh tomato and dripping with cheese and ricotta. It was some of the best I have ever had outside of Italy. This place is just plain awesome — did I mention the homemade garlic Romano dressing? OH and the pesto bread sticks… heck, just eat it all!

Freshest of Fresh ingredients! From the pizza to the salad, it tastes as if the garden is right outside the door. Staff is extremely friendly-make sure to go in on off times(before 6pm) so you can really have a conversation. Martinis are delicious.

Was so looking forward to coming here. The pizza was very good, and that is why I didn’t give it a 1 star. SERVICEATTHEBARSUCKS. Skinny girl, if you don’t want to be here, go find another place to work! The list of great and cool pizzas and cocktails is fun. Wish I could try them all. Only complaint is that it is pretty pricey!

Hipster pizza and martini spot. Creatively topped pizza’s and uniquely crafted drinks lured my wife and I here. Pizza was good — Portabella mushroom bacon garlic spread. Martini’s were quenching. Price was a little steep.

I have never been to Amici’s but a friend brought a vegan pizza to us with menu! WHAT??? How did my fellow Vegans FAIL to tell me the BEST vegan pizza in the universe is in Berkley? Not in my neighborhood, but from now on, I will make the drive! The menu features not one, but several vegan pizzas, as well as vegan mozzerella if you are making your own. We had the pesto, broccoli, tomato,(#11), and it was AMAZING! When you are a vegan, you know quality ingredients because nothing can be hidden with a pound of melted cheese so believe me when I tell you: this is the best crust and sauce around!

I have come to Amici’s on a couple occasions and it has always been good. As someone who enjoys more interesting than usual pizza, this place has some goodies! I’ve never sat outside, somehow I end up here in the colder months, but I hear it is nice. Drinks are solid, they always have an interesting selection of cocktails it seems, and standard beer selection(more up my alley). The pizza’s are tasty, but the breadsticks and marinara are DELICIOUS. I could eat them all day. A fun, casual kind of place to grab more than the regular kind of pizza. Run across the street for some ice cream after and you certainly won’t be disappointed!

Went to Amici’s for drinks and dinner and everything was great. I really liked the unique menu of pizzas along with an extensive martini list is that is the highlight of the bar. Had a medium pizza half roasted red pepper and half the portobello mushroom, both flavored were excellent with generous cheese and toppings, and they have a whole wheat crust that is great. The pizza also reheats well for lunch the next day. Drinks were very nice, I had a gin martinis with their blue cheese olives, my girlfriend tried a honey lavender infused martini that tasted quite dangerous. What a great find! Amici’s has a good thing going here, I will definitely be back!

Easily my favorite place for great pizza and martinis. I love the spinach pizza and the salads are delish! The martini menu will blow your mind and has more offerings than the tasty pizza. Most of all, the staff and owners are the best, they make you feel like family.

The portobello mushroom pizza is delicious, though it is very expensive. I would suggest coming to this Resturant for a special occasion or with a group of people to help share the pizza. Usually I get a large and it’s so delicious, there’s never a problem with the food going to waste.

I have to say I am so impressed with this place. I have been wanting to get out here for a year now, finally had the chance to take the mom out to dinner. She was also impressed, which for my mom is no small feat. It is located on the main drag on 12 mile in Berkeley. Parking is on the street with limited parking behind the back of the restaurant. The setting inside of the restaurant is very cozy, and the patio is huge and has umbrella covered tables. Perfect place for a summer night. Unfortunately, it was cold when I came. They specialize in pizza, but they have salads and some sandwiches. Just get the pizza. I got the blackened chicken pizza, which had Monterey Jack cheese and chicken with scallions and red sauce. Simple, and the crust was perfectly done. The crust isn’t thin but it isn’t deep dish, you could call it original style. They also give you breadsticks with red sauce to dip it in. They are simple, but fantastic. Their beer selection is good, however their cocktail selection is unreal. 3 pages of specialty cocktails, yes please! The wait staff was friendly and helpful, no problems there whatsoever. They also do carry out, but not delivery. It’s worth coming in to get. Overall: great pizza place in the Royal Oak area, I will be back.

Pretty good pizza. I can appreciate the small restaurant feel. The red sauce is a little on the sweet side but that’s just my personal preference. The thing I didn’t really care for was when my friends and I sat in The Living Room and ordered from Amici’s, our pizza was served with plastic forks and paper plates. Now, if I’m spending $ 30 for pizza and martinis, I guess it’s just my opinion that I should be eating it off an actual plate. I know the owners have said before they try to run a «green» business. But paper plates and plastic forks aren’t «green». Overall, if we’re strictly talking food, the pizza is good!

I’ve been here three times. I don’t get the love. I clearly am missing something or this place is not for me. The place appears to be a fun bar, but I mostly just want the pizza. There are just better options if you want pizza. Much better options. The crust is inconsistent, and sometimes soggy. I have tried several of the specialty pizzas, and never found any that stand out. The service is also not great. If I was going out after work for fun I would give it another star, as the atmosphere is ok. But for just some pizza? Nah.

Their basil infused Vodka martini is divine. Absolutely. I love this place and the menu and offerings but… every time I’ve been here the service is slower than molasses. I typically want to go here but don’t have 90 minutes just for dinner.

Everyone loves this place, but I just don’t get it. The pizza is good, but not great – and for $ 20 I want great. Supino doesn’t even charge $ 20 for a pizza and they easily could for their attention to quality and deliciousness. Anyway. I had assumed that a place that is really more a bar than a restaurant and which serves $ 20 pizzas would not be a place people would take their screaming children to. I assumed wrong. A baby screamed for the first half hour we were there(not exaggerating), and when that family finally left a new family with a screaming baby took their place. Really. Why? WHY??? Never going back. You and your toddlers enjoy, though.

I met up with fellow Unilocaler Pete H. for some late afternoon pizza and beer the other day. I arrived shortly after they opened and was their first customer of the day I think. After a short stay at the bar I went out back and grabbed a table in their patio area. I found the patio area charming and relaxed. I really enjoyed sitting back there enjoying the music, weather and my beer. I ordered a New Holland Full Circle and really liked it, it’s a Kolsch style lager and was new to me. Pete arrived and after asking the waitress some questions about her favorites and about the crusts, wheat or regular etc… we settled on splitting a large, half«pesto style» and half«portobello style». I should note that you can order any pizza with either crust or split speciality pizzas like we did. They also had a lot of Vegan options here which is nice to see. They brought out some complimentary bread sticks for us to enjoy while we were waiting for our pizza. The bread sticks were whole wheat with pesto on top and a tomato sauce for dipping. Ours happened to be under cooked and honestly not that impressive, I would have preferred some traditional bread. The pizza arrived and we dug in with our plastic ware and cardboard plates. The pizza was pretty good. If I can remember correctly, the portobello side featured bacon, and maybe roasted garlic along with the mushrooms. The Pesto side featured broccoli, which I never in my life thought I would order on pizza, roasted garlic and maybe ricotta cheese, I think. All in all the pizza was good but not great. The plastic ware wasn’t up to the task of cutting through the crust and the cardboard plates absorbed some moisture and got soggy. Minor complaints but I feel a $ 20ish pizza deserves proper utensils. Pete commented that he thought the crust wasn’t done enough on the bottom and needed a few more minutes. I agree. To wrap it up I really like the atmosphere, service and patio at Amici’s, the food was alright and enjoyable while here but I wouldn’t go out of my way to order carryout in the future. 3.5 /5 stars

I absolutely adore this place. The pizza crust(both the whole wheat and gluten free) are wonderful. Don’t come here expecting pepperoni pizza, or for a normal pizza and beer joint. Instead you’ll find gourmet pizza offerings, free breadsticks with every pizza, and an exceptionally long cocktail menu. The lines can be long. Come early, or prepare to wait a little while for a table. Pro tip: In the spring and summer the only place to sit is out on the back patio.

Cool little local place. Comfortable, relaxed atmosphere. I’ve gotten the gluten free pizza several times now and the crust is a little heavy but decent tasting for GF. The toppings are always fresh and they have a number of pizza varieties. They do make the pizza at a designated GF station and have special pans so the celiacs can breathe a little sigh of relief. Of course, there’s always a chance for cross-contamination but I appreciate their effort in their process.

I went here for drinks tonight. The service flat out sucked, the drinks were mediocre and poorly executed, and the crowd was awful. I’ll give it another shot to see if this was a fluke, but I don’t have my hopes up. They only had four beers on tap and they were all pretty boring. The two seafood pizzas sounded gross. Crab with cream cheese? Sounds awful. Smoked salmon with cream cheese doesn’t sound too bad, but without better options I didn’t trust them to make it right. I wish they offered shrimp on their pizza. I didn’t eat. Don’t get me wrong, I wanted to order a pizza, but none of them sounded good. Have you ever been to Kruse & Muers?(I spell it wrong every time) They have a pizza called Rocky’s creation with shrimp, onions, artichoke and more. It’s amazing. Shrimp on a pizza is a great pizza topping. Amici’s just doesn’t offer it. That’s a huge knock in my book and detracted from my desire to even want to try their pizza. What’s worse was, they don’t offer traditional pizzas like a margarita pizza(fresh motz(real motz, with fat!), fresh basil, tomato and garlic). None of their veggie options sounded good. arugula pizza sounds gross, broccoli? nope!, «low fat Motz»(I’d rather have the real stuff), and the rest of their pizzas had walnuts, corn, beans, asparagus, etc. Nothing I’d want on a pie. They just didn’t sound good, at all. I wanted to eat, but all of their meatless pies sounded shitty. Their blackened chicken pizza and jerked chicken pizza sound good, but that’s 2 out of 17 pies that sounded like they’re worth ordering, not a good ratio, and like I said, I was trying to avoid meat. Nothing about their menu inspires me to try to eat there, and their drinks don’t inspire me to come back. I’ll probably end up back here with friends and I’ll try one of their chicken pizzas, but that aside, the rest just don’t sound good.

I love my pizza and Amici’s has some of the best. Wheat crust pizza topped with two different vegetarian options(they let you split the pizza into halves that way) — you can’t go wrong. The pesto bread sticks are not to be missed, either. Amici’s offers craft beer and creative cocktails. The interior is a little small, but very cute. There is outdoor seating in the summer. Just a wonderful little gem of a place.

Martini Bar and pizza what more could you love! ! They have an extensive selection of martinis, my favorite includes the Key Lime Pie Martini, but I have tried several others and they are all delicious. I love there pizza, I’ve eaten it in house and also carry-out and the quality is always the same. My favorite is the Portabella Mushroom Pizza, it has hints of bacon in it, the menu makes it with a garlic spread, but i ask to get mine with the red sauce because it’s chunky and delicious. If you can snag a seat on the patio in the summer, do it! Great atmosphere. Again, a great gluten free friendly place.

Came in here on a Monday. Needless to say, it was pretty empty. We ordered a couple cocktails and both were prepared very well. The drink list is extensive. The menu is unique. One nice thing is that they let you go halves on the specialty pizzas. We were stuck between a couple and ended up giving the Portobello and the Jerk Chicken pizzas a try. I’m not a huge mushroom fan, but the Portobello special was unbelievable. Neither of us cared too much for the Jerk Chicken pizza. I liked the concept and thought it was a really unique idea, which is why we gave it a shot. I’m not going to say that it wasn’t good… it just wasn’t my taste. They gave us an order of the pesto breadsticks and those were unbelievable too. Overall, it was a really nice, chill experience and the food was very good. Excited to come back and try some new things or maybe come up with a concoction of my own.

I had Amici’s before at a friend’s housewarming party, and I recall it being pretty good but not great. I ate at the actual restaurant last weekend and… yep, still not that great. First off, the service was noticeably slow. It was a Friday night, but it was well before the place got full to the brim. We got our first round of drinks pretty swiftly, but then the wheels kind of fell apart. The server got preoccupied with the table right next to us, which was around 10 people(we had six) celebrating a birthday party of some sort. That was annoying, too, because we were there for a friend’s birthday and she allegedly tried to reserve a bigger table for all of us and they said we couldn’t all be accommodated. Hmm… I wasn’t feeling the pizza, so I ordered the only other item available on the menu: lasagna(with meat). It was good for around $ 10, not great. I’ve had better. I’m not sure why there is only one other item besides pizza… is fettucine alfredo that difficult? They also brought it out in a plastic container that looked like a store-bought frozen meal package, which was kind of disconcerting. The pizza got an «OK» rating from the others at the table, too. Paying almost $ 20 for 14-inch pizzas is a little too much, even if it is «gourmet.» At least the beer selection is good, and they have a lot of martini options. It’s alright pizza and an OK atmosphere, but it’s really nothing too special in the end. In metro Detroit there are a plethora of other pizza options.

Easily one of Metro Detroit’s most sensational and eclectic little restaurants. Magnificent ambience and always friendly, amazing service from the staff. The pizza is unique in the sense that you don’t feel like a bloated bastard when you complete your meal. Three reasons why they rock: 1. Your choice of white, whole grain or gluten free crust 2. Garden fresh chunky pizza sauce 3. Toppings devoid of the industy standard sodium overdose I’m a sucker for their breadsticks and marina which are always delivered hot before the meal. Nice selection of craft beers and their martini menu knows no limits. Hey guy, «what kind of pizza is your favs» you ask? Roasted garlic(omg it dominates) and grilled chicken with the whole grain crust. One of the best pizzas I’ve had in the world, no lie. Weekends are slammed and it gets cramped quickly so I usually like to sneak in on a weeknight and get pampered right away by their friendly, attentive bartenders and servers. If you haven’t had the pleasure of visiting this little slice of heaven, I couldn’t possibly recommend them more.

Normally we dine-in at Amici’s, but Friday, we had takeout. Amici’s is great both ways. We had a Roasted Eggplant Pizza and pesto breadsticks, both whole wheat. All the ingredients had really fresh, strong flavors. The breadsticks were soft, warm and delicious. The best part is their herb tomato sauce. It’s on the pizza and you dip the breadsticks in it, and it’s freakin amazing. It’s a little on the pricey side for pizza, but really worth it. When I’ve dined-in in the past, they also have an extensive martini menu. Really good, not messing around martinis. Amici’s is a small place. There’s limited parking, and limited seating. I wasn’t surprised that it was packed when I went in to pick up the pizza on Friday night. If you’re going, plan ahead and get there early.
